Is her Halifax current acc a Rewards acc? Just wondering if that's the reason she has been offered a Club MS? I did the same as your wife a few days ago, just having the normal Hal current acc and was offered a Lloyds MS, which I took obviously. If your wife is only offered the Club MS, I would take it.

Nope, no Hfx current account at all. Have taken what was offered though.
Never associate with idiots on their own level, because, being an intelligent man, you'll try to deal with them on their level - and on their level they'll beat you every time.
Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.

I have/had an X number but OH has a normal number without an X - he is newer to Chorley - this explains why I've had the letter and he hasn't - but we have to see what happens then on Monday
Both of use had the email on Thursday regarding reregistering. On the website it says you cant get access until August 4th - but from the email it says on the 3rd they will send out a link to re-register so a bit of a contradiction.
Also the email says "customer ID" and "user ID" which I think will confuse some folks
"You will need to register for our new Chorley Online service when it launches, even if you currently use our existing Online Service. You will find your new Customer ID at the bottom of this email. This will replace your existing User ID and you will need it to re-register."
Yes it could get messy
“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I've tried to redo my standing order to Chorley with the new account number, but my current account isn't recognising the sort code
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
Yes but they couldn't verify me electronically even though a dozen other providers have done so in the last few years. I just didn't respond further so they sent a letter and several emails, which makes it surprising that they are ignoring you.

I wise man once said "Don't just something, sit there."
This may be one of those occasions.
If they're doing a major re-vamp of their computer services it's quite possible this may have been temporarily affected as well.

The changeover doesn't take effect until 3rd August, so I doubt if COP will recognise the new account number until then.

Apologies, my comment should have said "Don't just do something, sit there."
Occasionally, it is better to wait rather than simply act - timing being everything, and some activities only adding to the problem.

Sort code, not account number. I don't do CoP, anyway.
