    Suffolk

Online worked instantly as an existing customer (my first account with them was a postal one.)

I have also applied for a postal account via email, filling out the application form found online. That took longer due to me overlooking the email that told me it hadn't been delivered as the message size was too large.

Melton did the same last year, removing all their accounts from sale (though the only RS available at that time was the 5% open ended one.) No Regular Savers from them since.

In fairness to them though, I've used the old details since then and payments have been redirected without issue.

I've searched on this thread for the answer but can't find it. Apologies if discussed already.

I have fairly recently opened regular savers with the Halifax and BOS but notice they both now offer accounts with better (8%) rates.

Am I right in thinking that, if I close the existing accounts, I can open new 8% ones but would have to wait for the first anniversary of opening the existing ones?

    Halifax & BoS
No, with Halifax you can open a new one straight away and with BoS next day. With Halifax 'renew' it into an easy access account and with BoS close it via chat (for some reason renewing doesn't work).

Nationwide becomes more attractive when you use the regular saver to help qualify for the Fairer Share award each year.

I already have Clublloyds, Lloyds, Halifax and BOS regular saver. Is it possible to close these four regular saver and reopen a new one paying 8%. Try to avoid mistake. TIA

depends on how far in you are the current RS's...........i read on one of the forums that if over half way through, no real benefit to closing and restarting an 8%er

if going to proceed, 2 things to be mindful of

1.....halifax brand is disappearing soon, so that option to open an 8% RS may not be svailable much longer (can open the RS without a need for a current account with them)

2.....Lloyds will only allow 1 RS going forward, no longer an option to have both Club and Standard Lloyds RS..er's

so technically possible to have 3 x 8%er's across Lloyds, BOS and Halifax (whilst the latter branding still around)

My RS8 matures today though it hasn't matured into an easy access account on the app. I don't think I ever got set up for online banking on the browser. Does anyone have any advice to get my matured funds ASAP?

It's an easy access account anyway. Can't you take your money out via the app?

I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?
