Strange, I seem to recall I had to do that back in 2022 when I first got online banking with Monmouthshire but since then I've just been able to change my nominated account online and they do the COP when their staff get chance, I've not had to fill any forms in, it was just a case of go to nominated accounts, add the details and that's that.
I'm assuming they only want proof if the COP fails.

BS AGMs: Having so many accounts with various BSs inevitably means a lot of AGM correspondence - mostly via email nowadays although I have received one from Monmouthshire BS in the post recently. I tend not to bother voting etc. unless there's a prize draw or they say they will pay charities for voting.
Could we not overwhelm some small BS if we all were to vote a certain way? Demand a 10% savings account or fire the CEO. 🤣

With BoS, that's exactly what I did. It was closed yesterday and I opened a Monthly Saver 8% today. I'm not sure exactly when the 8% became available again. I had the old account closed around 5pm yesterday and had the new account available when I checked today around midday. HTH
To fund the account, I accidentally set up a transfer directly to the new account, which went through without problem. I was going to transfer to my BoS CA and then from there into the RS.

Tbh as I very rarely get the train I'm not the best to ask but Dudley itself didn't have a train station.
Dudley Port is the other one you're referring to, thats between Dudley and Great Bridge, probably 2 miles away from Dudley town?
Tipton is possibly closer than Dudley Port but there's not much in it.
Just seen in another reply the trams mentioned, it seems an eternity so hopefully they'll be up and running very soon.
I've spent too much of my life stuck at temporary traffic lights!

I closed my standard 6.5% Lloyds monthly saver and then in the app checked what was available to me. Only the Club Lloyds 8% monthly saver was offered. I opened and funded it on the 14th July. But the classic and Club Lloyds monthly saver are both 8% so I guess it doesn’t matter to Lloyds.

Cheques are far from the ideal, but the loss is mitigated by high interest rate. Funds will be available on Sunday, so the cheque will be sent Monday, arrive Tuesday (my account opening letter arrived next day after the account was opened), banks credit cheques next day. 3 days will still earn a small interest from maturity account, one day interest will be zero… I put all dates and figures in AI - the result was 6.96% APR. Even it it's not entirely accurate this is still a very decent rate.
