Probably a discussion for another thread. I keep a toehold in HSBC just on the off-chance they rejoin the RS premier league, but I suspect the appearance of new 8% offerings won't chance much for them.

I only had an HSBC a/c for their RS. Once they reduced it and mine matured I used the account as a mule account for a switch and made £250. Might be more lucrative than hanging onto it.

Am I correct that you can't withdraw funds from MonBS over a weekend?

If so, it would be better closing an account on Friday then waiting if the maturity date falls on the weekend..

Market Harborough BS have replaced the Fixed Term RS 30/6/27 with a new version. to 30/11/27 still paying 5.75% fixed.

Terms revert to max of £250 pm over two FTRS accounts. The previous version limited to £500 over two accounts.

I filled in the questionnaire, some questions (or rather choice of answers) were a bit odd😀 but I think most of them were very indicative. Dudley is cooking a new RS with no end date and a bonus for the first 12 months (Mansfield style) and asking for members' opinions on the ingredients. Hard to imagine a jump from 5.5% to 8%, but who knows, Banks/BSs are full of surprises. Nobody expected VM to come up with 10.38% RS…
