About time YBS offered something worth opening again 🤣
With these offerings Saffron shouldn't go below 8% for their Members' Month offering, they offered that for the last 2 years when no one else was.
Wonder when Melton will offer any? That must be almost a year now with no Regular Savers available to open.

Melton has the Adcock with a year left to run. May offer something then. Some societies let years pass after their rs has matured before they offer another

@pecunianonolet: I wonder if it's the (permanent?) usage of interest/fee free overdraft on two accounts what makes Lloyds don't like you.
Also - I think we should organise a Regular Saver conference/meet-up/reunion in person. We could all nerd out about 13th payments, various T&Cs quirks, smile about "I only get half of advertised interest!" people, break out tonnes of spreadsheets etc. Possibilities are endless! 😁

SUFFOLK
ONL 1 YR FR REGULAR SAVER (31.07.2026)
It's available on the website a link that has to be used to communicate what to do with the money in the regular saver that matures at the end of the month. Once the decision has been made (make sure you have a nominated account in the system) going back to the accounts page a confirmation will appear close to the RS.

And on the subject of "what banks or building societies might next have an 8% interest" I've just had a survey by email to complete from Dudley regarding a potential new savings account with a bonus rate - straight forward to complete but no box at the ned for general comments for me to say "please can we have 8% like Halifax, LLoyds, BOS and Santander :) "
But we live in hope

One to watch may be Monmouthshire BS, they have been known to launch regular savers over the summer including two 7% exclusive RSs that I have maturing in August, and they have hit 8% before.
Then again who's to say a dark horse candidate that hasn't offered much worth having of late shan't come up with 8% all of a sudden.
I'll take what I can get, queue serahr serahr as Ted Heath would say in French.

I can see a 5% (var, I think) RS on the Suffolk site, maturity 31/08/2027, between £10 and £300 a month. One I will pass on as 5% is below my min RS rate.

I would say a dark horse candidate that hasn't offered much worth having of late has already come up with 8% all of a sudden, that being the Lloyds Banking Group, Lloyds Bank being the black (dark) horse bank! 😃

It’s fixed, with early closure possible in contrast to earlier issues. Opened with £10 a month ago as I will need it come the mass exodus from Monmouthshire and also having too much maturing in October and possibly a few other months along the way. Only received the information sheet in the post yesterday along with an apology that they should have sent it sooner.

DOH, of course it is fixed, it says so in the name of the RS. I need my eyes tested!
