Scottish BS Online Re-Registration
2nd verification code now received … by email 🙄

It would almost certainly require an email address change, and that is something they'd need to support, but some systems would not allow a + symbol to be part of an email address.

Lloyds/BoS monthly saver questions.
Well, I've managed to close and open both accounts, so I am now the proud owner of two 8%ers.
So l funded one on the 14th and the other 16th, will l be able to fund again on the 1st of Aug or have to wait for the month anniversary?
Do these accounts accept a 13th payment?
Thank you.

Scottish building society.
I completed the re-registration today, and although it was stated that a letter would be sent out a few hours later, l received an email with code. Looks like everything is up and running now. But am not sure if this letter will still be sent now or if even needed??
What are more experienced savers option on this matter? Was the email code the same as the potential letter information?
Also, l sent a message asking if l could not use an email address as my username but was told NO. Maybe in the future, but at present email/username only accepting.

That's why ones that allow qualifiers, eg Proton has email+qualifier@proton… can be useful.

Fair few mail providers support it (or similar) incl Gmail, Outlook/Hotmail, Fastmail - question is will SBS allow an email address with "+" in it?

I take it from this and other comments that LBG has form for… well, for something - but what is that something? Have they closed customers' accounts and de-banked them for things like opening more accounts than the T&Cs allow for? (i.e. things that aren't dodgy money-laundering type stuff)

They debanked Bridlington1 who hadn't broken any rules, just used them for a few switches, replaced the accounts and also linked some accounts to YouGov.
If you've done anything dodgy, you get a CIFAS marker. Banks can make a commercial decision to debank which is why it's a good idea not to take liberties.
