OMG - this actually worked for me as well, using the back button so I now have a BOS regular saver 8% - no BOS current and it showed straight away logging in via Halifax - thanks for the advice

I have followed a similar approach. It wouldn't let me log in with my Halifax/Lloyds details so I selected I am not already registered but then went with the "Already a customer? Register and apply" option rather than "New to BOS? Apply now". It took me back to the login page and I used the "register online" link. It was a simple form where I provided basic details and one of my Halifax savings accounts. I shortly had access to BOS system after creating user credentials and I could see all my Lloyds and Halifax accounts and could successfully apply for the monthly saver.

Have Club Lloyds 6.25% RS and will stick with it. Opened Halifax 8% this morning no problem. And just opened and funded BoS 8% RS through BoS website on laptop even though I have no current account. All seems OK

    Halifax

I don't have any accounts with them. Do I need to open a current account with them to get the RS?

Will that involve a credit check?

Don't have any accounts with them - do I need to open a current account? Will that involve a credit check, if so?

Opening a current account will involve a hard credit search but you shouldn’t need one for Halifax. I only have a credit card with them and opened it without issue. This discussion is relevant to you -

    Lloyds

I only have a credit card with Lloyds. I access it via my BoS app.

Am I likely to be able to open a Lloyds RS?

(I have a BoS RS which I closed this morning and thus far not been able to open a new BoS RS.)
