They're hoping to attract customers by matching the recent Santander 8% regular saver.

Lloyds group 8% RS
Anyone else already have the full compliment of four RS from this group so waiting with baited breath on developments tomorrow?

If you did it yourself in online banking, i.e. not asking a Halifax person for help, it certainly was still possible beginning of June, as I did it back then, and I have done it several times before. They may of course have since changed it, so anyone trying it now does so at their own risk.
I will attempt it, as my potential loss of interest will be merely a tenner (assuming I still get 5% in my feeder account), whilst the 8% account will be worth £50. "Renew" as the method to close the existing Halifax RS is definitely still working as of now, and I am hopeful that opening the new account will work tomorrow if there will indeed be a Halifax flavour of the 8% one.
BOS renewal still won't work, and I won't touch my Lloyds accounts as I would definitely lose one of my two RSs, due to the recently introduced limitation.4 -
I did have the full complement of four until I closed the 5.25% Lloyds one on 23rd June. It had only been going less than a month but I decided the rate was below my threshold.
I've just checked online and a 5.25% one is not being offered to me.

I was using online banking and the system blocked it. The Halifax person just confirmed later that it wasn't a glitch.
The rule seems to be you can only open one RS per 12 months (as of mid June anyway).

Lloyds/BoS/Hal RS
Hopefully these will be longish term offers, as both my partner and I already have BoS and Club Lloyds regular savers, which don't mature until various dates from Oct to Feb. Annoyingly I will probably be withdrawing most of the money from the two BoS accounts in the next month or two to allow me to fully fund our better RS accounts, but that wont matter unless they change the no opening again within 12 months, same as Lloyds.
Thanks for making me aware of this though. On holiday, but will definately be on the look out tomorrow to find out more.
I suppose I might still be able to go for a halifax one? I dont currently have any accounts with them, but still have online details from when I did.

So nice to see this thread back on topic. 😊
But no, at only 5.5% (or even less) even when fixed, they all fell under my acceptance threshold.
I don't have Lloyds Club Current Account, having downgraded it several years ago to avoid possible fees.
At 8%, well that is of interest. Thank you Santander.
If Lloyds fix that rate in their desperate attempt to now gain some kind of oneupmanship over their competitor, so much the better. I'll review it properly when I have access to the full T&C

Pipe dream: Lloyds group will up all existing RSs to 8%…
Full house of 4x accounts I have mature in March 2027. 😭 Looks like I won't be able to renew the Halifax one nor the BoS one from peoples' reports. Lloyds I'd have to close (renew) both to open only the Club one due to recent changes of only 1x of either allowed.

Halifax RS does not expire, they just transfer matured funds to EA after 12 months and the RS remains open. I refreshed mine in March 2023. I wonder if I will be able to renew it tomorrow?

i have all 4 RS’s from Lloyds group and they don’t mature for between 3 & 9 months, so I will probably be stuck with them for a while, unless Lloyds change something, so that existing savers are able to get the higher rates that new savers are offered.
