Is the account number shown online which has the first three digits of your surname the same reference number to use for paying in your second deposit. I'm too impatient to wait for the letter in the post.

Same scenario as me.
I.e. An existing customer who applied straight away through their website with no issues.
Two emails received today resulting in me being able to fund with matching Nationwide COP, manually add the account to my profile with them and set up a S.O.
Well done Bucks on your productivity on a Saturday

I actually had them send me the T&Cs so I do have a PDF. I'm having some technical problems trying to upload it here, will keep trying!

Do you mean the T and C for the Regular Saver or the Savings T and C? If the latter, they are available here: https://www.bucksbs.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.html

Buckinghamshire Regular Saver Terms and Conditions.
I had to take screenshots as the forum wouldn't accept a PDF.

There was no account related t&c PDF available to download. I just copied the product information from the page and pasted into my spreadsheet. I redacted it leaving only the information relevant to me:
Account Anniversary is the date one year from the first deposit into your account. You can open the account with an initial investment of between £10 and £250 and save up to £3,000. The first payment into your account must come from your nominated account. The maximum you can deposit each month is £250, in one or more payments. You don’t have to make a deposit every month, and you won’t be penalised for missing a payment. Only 1 Bucks Regular Saver account per person is allowed. You can withdraw by bank transfer to your nominated account at any time. If the balance in your account falls to zero, we will automatically close the account. Your account will mature on your Anniversary date. The full balance, including interest, will then be automatically transferred to a variable rate easy access account.
