Thanks all. I've gone ahead and closed it (couldn't do it via the Lloyds app, so had to use a browser). Not a big deal if they won't let me open another in September - I'm actually better off putting it in the Saffron ISA at 4.5%, unless that rate drops in the meantime.

EDIT: Not as quick and painless as it could have been - desktop site was slow to show the "renewed" account with interest added. Tried to transfer the money out via the app but it kept coming up with a "technical error". Took a while to actually get my money out. Oh well.

    Bucks Regular Saver Online

Thanks to those that posted their experiences in applying. I was late in reading this thread yesterday and saw the best approach was to apply on my phone rather than PC. This went through smoothly and my registration successful email was received at 16.25. We then did an application for my wife, and after she did the signing process her registration successful email was received at 16.41.

Due to doing this on my phone, I had not taken screenshots/downloads of the relevant t's & c's etc. so I went back to my PC to get these only to find the account had been pulled. I tried unsuccessfully to find the t's & c's but thanks to the archived history thread I've now got them.

I note that the terms say "The first payment into your account must come from your nominated account". It's just as well I read this as I use my sole Bank of Scotland a/c as the hub for funding all our regular savers so must remember to make the initial deposit for my wife's RS from her linked a/c.

Any sign of the time period given to make the first deposit, for those that have their Bucks RS details already?

Email says initila deposit to be transferred within 14 days of receiving the email.

Correction: the email says 30 days but the "welcome to account" letter (attachment to the email) says 14 days. Anyone's guess which is correct, I guess.

    Bucks BS RS

I've seen a couple of mentions on here relating to the T&Cs of the BBS RS, which prompted me to look at what I had stored in a folder for my new account. The PDF document I stored as T&C turned out to be the general online T&Cs, not the RS T&Cs. Maybe I missed saving them when I applied (although I'm usually fairly thorough), but the comments on here had raised a small doubt, and I'm glad I looked!

So, can anyone point me to a copy of the T&Cs for the RS, so I can rectify the omission …. in any convenient form, PDF or other format? TIA

I don't think there was a PDF. As I mentioned in my last post, the webpage for the RS giving the T&Cs is available by following the link on the archived history of RS. I then took a screenshot of this for my records.

I couldn't find any product-specific T&Cs, just the same general savings account PDF that you've got. There was a fair chunk of information in the "summary" box but I wasn't organised enough to save this. One point I definitely remember is that the maturity date is from the date of first deposit and not date of opening.

Are they processing the openings over the weekend? I assumed mine would be next week…….
