I've got a couple of RS (different editions) and opened up the App tonight to see if it gave me the options for Products
However it's just a whirring halt at this time.

As the current one is not s fixed rate account what is the point in renewal?

When they dropped the rate to the current 6.5%, those with the 8% issue received that until maturity - so the rate was cut only for new applications.
If the base rate suddenly collapsed such as it did with COVID or the financial crisis, then of course no one would be immune from cuts since it is a variable rate account.
