Halifax renewal
I've done this in the past but now when I attempt to do this online on an Android phone I'm missing (or can't find) the next step
Am I being dafter than normal?
I can't even seem to paste the screenshot I've prepared on here at the moment so here's the step by step:
Click on account
Select More Actions
Click on Renew Account
Which then gives me the following blurb with no option to actually renew.
Account Selected:
Halifax logo
5.50%
Interest Rate
Current Balance
Renewal options for this account
We'll pay any unpaid interest into your renewed account if you choose to renew.
If you don't want to renew, you can still take a look at our full range of savings products in 'Savings and investments'

I am on a laptop but that shouldn't make any difference. I get a number of renewal options, just the first one would do if I wanted to go ahead

Not sure if this is new, but seen on Moneyfacts same day as the latest Nottingham RS
The Stafford BS Regular Saver – Issue 1 @ 4.15% Variable. (Website suggests interest rate as of January)

This has been available for some time, but is periodically postcode restricted to certain postcodes in the Staffordshire area so this could be a good time for those living elsewhere who are interested to open one.
Was a top payer when I opened it in August 2022 but has been fairly uncompetitive since. I keep it at £25 per month to save for guilt free splurges.

Thanks @friolento - definitely a case of me being daft 👍

I have different BOS and Halifax profiles but the renew only works on Halifax (also ok on Lloyds)
Tried it last month when conversation came up on here, message came up to contact BOS, 12 month term ended on 10th April anyway.

Re: Nationwide Flex Regular Saver Issue 7
is it possible to renew this account by closing and reopening? I’m sure has been answered previously but struggling to find any comment. Thanks!Save £12k in 2020 #42 £12,551.25 / £14,000 89.65%0 -
Have you got other BoS accounts?

Yes, it can be closed on line and the day after it is possible to open the new one. I did it more than once, but always between working days

Same experience as when my wife closed her BOS regular saver in March.
Just closed mine today from being logged into BOS website on desktop and having moved out the balance…
Renew gives error. Trying to close tells you to go into branch. ChatBot says to close using the method that doesn't work. ChatBot then asks if you need further help. On answering 'yes' then it says you'll be redirected to a human who isn't available at the moment but will answer some time later. Logged in about an hour later and saw that a customer rep had closed the a/c about 40 mins earlier.
