Marston building society?

Market Harborough offered me a coffee. Nottinghamshire have done in the past. I'm sure others have too!

Even better are the AGM meetings with added incentives!
Saffron have theirs this year at Duxford Imperial War museum on April 24th and they are giving a complimentary one hour visit
Darlington have theirs at Stockton Arts Centre (ARC), Dovecot Street, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 1LL on Monday 27th April and there is a buffet lunch at 11.30.
Sadly cant attend either - 3 hours to get to Duxford from here and then 4 hour trip along the A1 between Duxford and StoktoStockton!
But well worth reading your emails incase an AGM does come up with a buffet or some other incentive a bit closer to home :)

Had to chuckle at the thought of Bridlington1 arranging an MSE branch only RS coach excursion 😂🤣. I wonder how many takers there would be, especially with free beer & coffee thrown in for the day? Pack some sarnies and you're all fixed up. What better way to begin the MSE "Building Society RS Challenge" 😋🤗.

I've visions of lots of Harry Enfield 'Loadsamoney' characters wafting stacks of BS Passbooks around.
Ask your parents kids 😂

Looks like you arrive very early in the morning. They look like ghost towns👻 I like the red light part in ESBS pic😀
I'm to visit my nearest L'bro branch to collect my cheque next week. I'll try to remember to take a picture and post it here😄

08.13 train from Euston to Nuneaton, 09.35 bus to Earl Shilton. Half hour later bus into Leicester, had a wander around there, then 12.43 train to Harborough. Then hour later train back into St Pancras, I was back in London by three.
The easiest two passbook-only accounts was a trip to Grantham, where Nottinghamshire and Melton are practically opposite each other.

Re: Dudley BS - apologies if this was mentioned months ago when there was discussion about opening postal and/or branch accounts via email (Scottish BS springs to mind - but unsure if Dudley was included), but I thought it may be useful info for others to know that Dudley Building Society are happy to open their postal accounts via application forms sent by email (at least for existing customers).
I already have a Festive RS with them and sent a secure message asking about sending an application form by email to open their RS 1225 (5.50%) and sending the opening payment later once opened - they said that would be fine. I completed the application pdf (a real pain to do as it's not designed for interactive form filling), left the initial deposit amount blank and sent it by email late yesterday afternoon; I received an email reply today.
I can confirm the application form is in the process in being completed.
Once this has been completed, we will send you a letter in the post. We can open the account on 'Zero balance' and you will then have 30 days to funds the account. This can be through bank transfer (all information will be sent to you) or by sending a cheque. Once we have received payment, we will then issue you a passbook in the post.
hopefully the letter arrives next week (or account becomes visible online) and I can make the initial deposit before the end of the month.

That's good to know, variable interest RS at 5.5% might be back in play if it looks like rates might not be falling in the next year.
DudleyBS still have the 5.75% Loyalty RS on offer (£500/mth), do you not have that?
Those non editable PDF forms are a pain to edit! I find it's easier to print/biro/scan (if you have the kit).

If you download a PDF and open it with Microsoft Edge, you can add text boxes to fill it in, then print/save.
