Well it's been 4 years to the day since I joined this forum and 470 days since I took over the regular savers thread.
If I may, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your many contributions to the forum over this time, they've been invaluable to me and I'm sure they shall continue to be so in the future.

I wonder how much extra interest you've gained in those 4 years due to advice from this forum?

And vice versa for us from Brid!

Opened it last night, the email with the user ID came this morning. Managed to login and I've sent over the first payment for £500. SMS and email received about an hour after I made the deposit confirming receipt and the acc balance was updated online although it's a Sunday.
Impressed so far, although it's a variable rate. 5.40% over 24 months with a £500 maximum monthly deposit is decent

Sounds promising. Might take a look at this myself

I've also been purging old low paying and dormant accounts.
I had a 4 access Coventry paying 4.20% with a small amount left in which I was waiting until the new tax year to close. Also a Coventry regular saver 6 which I opened in January, no idea why but it had £500 in so I closed that and Coventry charged £1.64 for early closure! That only leaves a Coventry loyalty saver maturing next month
Then I started on Yorkshire BS. I had one account only paying 4% which again I was waiting for the new tax year to close - a long time ago this account was an internet saver plus 13. Also a YBS rainy day issue 2 which at one time was a good enough account but now only 4.05%.
The YBS loyalty saver matures in May which will then leave the £50 saver 6% and the Christmas saver 5% which close September and October and hopefully YBS will have something worthwhile to replace them.
Also culled a few Nationwide 3 access accounts with just £1 in plus interest -the proceeds of Coventry, Yorkshire and Nationwide then all sent to the new ISA paying 4.58% so a nice bit of tidying up - more to come when this months Principalities mature when the total closed I think will be up to 9.
In the midst of this overhaul I realised that OH did not have a Monmouthshire regular saver - a strange oversight but very quickly rectified. That also solves the issue of April 2027 previously being devoid of regular savers maturing - now have four . Also makes up for having no accounts to replace the Principlities closing this month so now that money is going into one Monmouthshire instead of 3 Principlities.

I haven't a clue, but it was regular savers that led me to this forum in the first place.
Just thought I'd mention that YBS's systems have been known to have difficulty when calculating how long you've been a member for as their systems seem to go off the age of your oldest account rather than how long you've been a continuous member for. If you keep your oldest account open, then this seems to rectify the issue, it's the main reason why I've kept hold of my old YBS Internet Saver Plus Issue 11, which has since been converted to another of their EA accounts.

Nationwide take a similar approach as YBS when establishing the length of your membership.
