Another great thread @grandmanerd. Please can I join & be #18?
Tried to post last night, but phone playing up! Managed to accumulate 21 NSDs last month, hopefully I'll get to high teens this month too. Currently on NSD3.
I too have had the lurgy. Thankfully I'm coming out the other side now, but DH & work bestie have caught it.
Haven't had a night off from sewing this week, but made time each evening to do some jigsaw & have a 20 mins nap if needed, still shattered after being ill.
Grateful for spending the afternoon teaching the class how to make samplers with various stitches, a warm fire & hearing FIL's pleasure when I said we'd go & visit next week, especially that DS2 is coming too (he hardly leaves the house/garden)

@apple_muncher I’ve had the staples out & it’s now stopped bleeding at last. I’m so tired. It’s certainly taken a lot more out of me than I expected.

Not sure I like the changes to the forum posting format, it keeps adding double letters to the start of my sentences!
Still super tired after being ill at the start of the week. Pleased it's nearly the weekend!
Work went well, then got 3 sewing jobs done after tea. Had 4 calls/messages about new sewing jobs too...
Grateful for time to do my jigsaw, getting sewing jobs done & out the way, lighter nights for driving home in

Hi turtles. Sending get well wishes to @grandmanerd and @beanielou hope you are starting to feel better too.
I'm on NSD 3. Did very well to stretch food this week. I'm focused on my plan so it's much easier not to spend now than it was in the beginning. The end is in sight!
If it's any consolation weather-wise it's been raining solidly here in Madrid for about two weeks 😂

I have recently been stabbing penguins, Thrifty_T!
I am so grateful that I have the time and space to look after pip, and still do my own thing too. Some days it is a struggle as I find myself 'pendiente' (that's for you, Shrewbie) and spend the day waiting for him or for an evening activity. Then I find myself so easily sucked into mindless stuff on my phone. Will I ever learn?! Apparently not 🤣
Today I have filled in the paperwork for a benefit that I am entitled to. It's out of my hands now. 🤲Look! My hands are empty!!!!!
beanie, your cut must have been a whopper if it has only just stopped bleeding. The chaise longue is all yours this month.

Good job DG's alarm went off this morning, as there'd been a power cut, so mine was 3 hours behind!
Had a lovely afternoon at work, helping the class do more work on their cross stitch/samplers. Thankful that most of the class who wanted their names stitched on, had short names!
Did more of my jigsaw before tea, it's coming along now 😊 knitted after tea & watched more if my Friday night series.
Grateful for a different day at work, the enjoyment & pride in the children's faces, my Friday night routine

Long dog walk this morning with DD2 and her 5 month old labrador puppy. The dogs are slowly getting used to each other. My rather wonky 10 y o mini is a bit worried by all the bouncing though, so they need to be supervised at all times so that puppy doesn't flatten him.
I was up really early for some reason, and put a loaf in the bread maker at stupid o'clock. Saved me from buying bread, but OH spoiled the potential NSD as he hadn't bought his TV mag and popped over to the corner shop to get one.
I did a wash this afternoon in the hope that we might get some fine weather tomorrow. If not it will go on the airer.
Made a sausage casserole, enough for 2 days, using a pack of sausages from the freezer and fridge veg. Added home grown garlic and chilli to perk it up. Had some tonight and it was yummy with a jacket potato. We will have the same tomorrow, as we don't mind in the slightest eating the same thing twice as long as it is nice! I have plans to make soup tomorrow and put braising steak in the SC with onions and mushrooms for a future pie. I must also clean the kitchen floor as it is messy with all the wet weather and dogs' footprints.
Rained for most of the day yet again, but at least we got out for an hour this morning and didn't get too wet!
