I have the same issue with drafts and the new editor.
The solution is under Quick links there is a "Manage Drafts" option (also https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/drafts) where you can delete it.
That menu has always been there but we didn't normally have to use it and it is not user friendly/sustainable to do so. MSE need to alter the behaviour back to what is was.

Double spacing may not be considered by some to be appealing to view, but the credibility of the post is severely undermined by the nonsensical assertion that "it is costing you double the server storage money"!

Rather helpfully, the discussion overnight has perfectly illustrated what I mean. Here are the notifications I received:
After your reply to me (quoting my post, which turns it into a 'mention' now), there were apparently 7 other replies. However, there are not 7 posts between yours and mine.
The link to the discussion in the notification goes to: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81860833#Comment_81860833
So that tells us that one of the 3 deleted posts on this thread overnight was the next reply after your post, which has created the broken link.
None of this is new or related to the new editor, save for the fact the new editor is probably causing an uptick in post deletions.

The useful link to the Manage Drafts page, in the quoted post, which has been presumably auto-live-linked by the new-style sytem, has also auto-linked the closing bracket - which no decent software attempting this should ever do. Another bug to raise with Vanilla?

How is the new way quotes work, going to help in the debt free boards when people post their statement of affairs.
Usually, the helpful forum peeps, bold lines and insert comments to ask questions.
I worry that these changes will put the forum in the "too hard, don't have time, can't be bothered" category.
We all don't want to have to LEARN to use it, rather than it being intuitive.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)4 -
Luckily, 'drag&drop' still works on a PC (FF) and can be used temporarily instead.

+1 to this ^^^
I've tried to reply to a post using the quote button but as I can't delete the irrelevant bits (to my response) or highlight the bit I'm commenting on, it's a waste of time.
I can see me using MSE forums less and less.

It was my understanding that companies pay for the server space they require, which would now have doubled if there is an extra line between every line on the forum. Apologies if I was mistaken

Server space is based on Bytes … an extra line is simply 1 byte. 🙂
