Lloyds switch offer 6 January to 3 February 2026

Those SMS notifications might be standard across CASS switches, got the same details about a switch I've just started at TSB.masonic said:FWIW, Lloyds send a SMS when they receive your switch application (saying they will contact again with the next steps), another when your switch is started (with completion date, 7 working days later), and a final one when it completes (promising a letter confirming the details). The date of the middle message will be the one that is relevant for this offer IMHO.0 -
Our problem now is that we each have a Lloyds app on our phones but they both say Hi Julie. Therefore when applying for a new SOLE club lloyds account it seems to make the assumption it is for Julie but we want one for James. Where do we go from there?0

You would need a current account with another bank which has 3 active DDs if you are wanting the free £250 cash. A switch means from another bank. But it is handled from the Lloyds end. Is that what you wanted to know?Sherwood229 said:This may be a stupid question but how do I actually do this an an existing customer with a normal current account? I cannot use the switch service if I am already with Lloyds so not sure how I do this?0 -
Or could be LBG and alumni. I got different notifications for switches into Nationwide / Santander.flaneurs_lobster said:

That would be strange - there is no mention of Club Lloyds Regular Saver for Lloyds Premier account holders. We will see, I suppose...PRAISETHESUN said:
Lloyds treat Premier accounts as CL accounts in my experience, as I had to downgrade my Premier account in order to open a new CL account for this offer (similar to the other posts earlier who had to downgrade existing CL accounts to open new ones).Emily_Joy said:Am I right in thinking assume one can actually upgrade to Lloyds Premier (I've received an invitation some time ago) and then request a switch to new Club Lloyds? This way you won't loose any benefits.0 -
Not really - I have access to health services similar to their BUPA offering as employee benefits. I suppose it might useful to have a second GP opinion, but I am not sure how I would benefit from it otherwise.friolento said:
You can upgrade or downgrade or sidegrade your existing CL as you like. Only you can tell whether the Premier is right for you - though wouldn’t it be the right choice regardless of the switch offer?Emily_Joy said:Am I right in thinking assume one can actually upgrade to Lloyds Premier (I've received an invitation some time ago) and then request a switch to new Club Lloyds? What would be your reason for upgrading to an account that costs £15 a month but doesn't give you benefits? Your decision, no need to explain, but I am curious.....0 -
It doesn't cost me anything as I am paying in 5K anyway (salary + a sequence of maturing RS); it allows me to keep Gourmet Society and Coffee Club memberships (I save quite a bit on Caffe Nero, my default go-to coffee place and I am hoping this will let me to open a new Club Lloyds for switching. I don't like the idea of downgrading and opening a new account on LBG as I would rather avoid being banned.friolento said:Emily_Joy said:

I have not upgraded to Premier already because there was no reason for me to do so.friolento said:Emily_Joy said:

I am not expecting to be banned, but there is a history of LBG bans on this forum and LBG group I do care about, as opposite to, say, Metro or Chase ban, that I would just find irritating.0
