UFH is underfloor heating. I don't know how it's possible to tell which is heating and which is lights or microwave? how did you determine the heat pump in isolation?
My gas is stove only and I didn't use it on Sunday.

Interesting, I don't have that! I wasn't given one for it. What heat pump do you have? I've got nibe fighter 2005. I'll research if I'm missing something.

You should be able to get basic data from your heat pump controller.

I have a heat and electricity meters fitted.

They came from Shop | OpenEnergyMonitor

I am not affiliated with it in any way!

I have a Daikin heat pump

You can view many systems here if you are interested

We have a new Nibe S1256 GSHP which replaced the old 14 year old Nibe Fighter 1245 in a 3 bed rural house (no gas supply).

Old 1245 had started to have serious running issues and in retrospect was costing a lot of money to run.  Repair cost was going to be >£5k or alternatively the new S1256 was just over £11k (no VAT).

Electricity for December 2020-2024 averaged 1050KWh for the month
December 2025 and it has been cold was 738KW a 30% saving

Heating so far today has used 11.5KW with 42.2KWh of heat and a COP 3.7.

Total Electricity usage last month averaged 24KWh/day (November was 21KWh/day).

My brine in temp is the lowest I have ever known it at this time of year at 7.5C I wouldn't expect to get this low until February.  When new system was installed last day of October Brine in was 13.1C.

Sunday's gas was 112 kWh and Monday gas was 116 kWh even though it was much colder on Monday (down to -3° early hours and didn't get above 2° all day but some solar gain as was sunny). Includes about 8kWh per day for HW.  So just under £7 excl SC both days @ 5.91p.
5 bed 1988 reasonably well insulated detached house on South Coast (with 40m2 single story extension with pitched tiled roof) -  total house area approx 190 m2 or 2000 sq ft in old money).  Mostly original single panel non- finned radiators, roughly 23 yr old non-condensing Potterton Suprima 60L boiler (24 kWh and probably less than 70% efficient now).  House kept around 19°C during daytime and 20°C from 5pm to 9pm and thermo set to 18°C overnight (normally doesn't fire boiler until program changes at 7am but it did Sun and Mon nights for an hour or so each night in total).

(Going to be changing the boiler this year (and possibly most radiators) so hopefully some significant reduction next year - would consider ASHP but have only 15mm pipes (I think) with 10mm microbore feeds to radiators so not sure we would get sufficient flow rates plus pipes buried in concrete screed on ground floor with feeds out of the walls so big expense and disruption to change).  But may get a Heat Geeks installer to do a survey)

Scores are in for yesterday. Consumption only 2kWh up on Sunday, despite it being much colder, but cost was up £3 because of much higher Agile prices.

3 bed 1985 detached N Scotland using around 95kWh gas daily since 1st with heating on 24/7, so just over £5, with temp reaching a max of +2 on the 1st going sub zero every night.  A good 7" snow covering since Friday although a lot melted off today in the glorious +1 warmth and rain, more expected overnight though - currently snowing heavily 3 miles away.
Keeping the whole house toasty and as much hot water as I can use for less than the cost of a 1 bar electric fire for 24 hours and way less than a packet of fags.

I always like this one to see how others fair and deal with it. Have learnt lots here. I've tried all sorts of heating house. 3 bed end terrace.
This cold week my living room thermostat is set at 17.5 degrees night and day. Get home at 6pm and turn it up to 21 degrees till 10pm. Takes all that time to reach 21 degrees. All other rooms probably reach 17 degrees.
I know it's best to talk in kwh but mine in pounds for gas in gas boiler daily has been between £5.50 and £6.50 for last few days in this cold..

The annoying thing is that at about 4 o'clock in the morning the central heating kicks in and makes all sorts of normal creaking etc and wakes me up and drives me crazy.

My heating is set to be off between 11pm and 6am. I've always thought that was the normal way to time it but more people now seem to leave the heating on all night. I doubt that would save me money but maybe worth a test. Has anyone else tested it?

Fairly standard practice for heat pumps as they don't have to work so hard to get the house back up to "daytime" temperature.
