Nice to see you delurking again, @doingitanyway. There are no set rules on this thread - the lists are just suggestions, and you will find that our lovely leaders Valli and Natty focus on slightly different things when they compile the weekly lists. Basically you can pick'n'mix or follow the lists exactly: it's up to you. (I tend to use them as checklists, in case I have been ignoring something that ought to be done.) But if you get one small area clear at a time and then keep it that way, eventually you will be able to "join up the dots" and as a result you'll find you need to devote less time to Flying - hooray! The other Flyladies and -gents will be happy to keep you company and cheer you on.doingitanyway said:I'm still here lurking. Thank you for the welcome.
I'm not sure how this works? Do I start with level one for each day and work my way up the levels?
Thank you

Fayolle, you are my twin! I did what I hope was the final coat on the windowsill, door frame and fireplace and toned up the walls where the builder made a bit of a mess putting the skirt in on. Final check tomorrow and the provided the replacement carpet comes in on Monday morning it will be laid Monday afternoon. Then I can start filling it 😆. There is a need to collect from dads, a cabinet from my sons then I need to find a couple of bedside tables that will work in there and a trundle to go under the bed for when I have a 2 kiddy sleepover. I can’t wait to get it finished now and to be able to clear some stuff from the landing. There must be 4 bin bags with DD’s Harrods bears that have been there since we started the shift round and they will hopefully go on the relocated cabinet then I can see what else she dumped there when clearing out her room.

Morning all xx
I think we may actually have a dusting of snow this morning but it's going to turn to rain later and be positively balmy (aka above freezing) all week. If the forecast is correct. I'm not going anywhere today so it can do as it likes. How selfish am I? 😉
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, changed Joey's seed and water, completed Strands with three hints, completed Wordle in three, completed Connections with two lives lost, and I'm supping my first brew.
JOT for today has been done already. The Mr Al version of mayo that I don't like and I'm never going to use has been removed from the fridge and binned.
Brew 2 anyone?

I've not been feeling too good so had a lazy day yesterday. I have had an ebay sale and another item has bids and will finish today so that's flingage.
I have done lots of washing and drying, particularly in the early hours yesterday when i couldnt sleep so must iron today.

Jiminy. It's cold. I went out to feed the birds and put out the rubbish* and recycling, and even though the temperature is in + numbers it feels colder than it did last week at -6. My theory is that it's now wet cold and that's a lot colder than dry cold. The hoolie doesn't help.
*following on from JOT I've binned ood yogurts, ancient potatoes, and soft cheese with garlic and herbs which doesn't taste nice. The opened bottle of wine from Christmas Day can go too. I'll glug the contents down the drain and recycle the bottle.
Coffee first though. Join me?
Hope you're feeling better soon Valli xx

Morning all, I enjoyed a nice day off, relaxing and doing some crafty stuff while watching TV.
My list for today
Make sure uni prep is done for next week
Iron clothes/uniforms for next week
Make a note of goals for 2026 in diary (trying something new as I've never bothered with goals before)
Spend an hour sorting out the diary
Go to H appointment with DH
Take DD to the stables so she can check on and feed her pony.
Sort bag for tomorrow and remind the kids to sort their bags
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.7 -
Morning,
I spent yesterday trying to blitz my bedroom. I moved as much furniture as I could on my own to get to the bits that rarely get hoovered and so I could fit my new chair in 😁
I also sorted through the teddies that live on top of the wardrobe doing nothing. I washed and dried them all and bagged up the ones I didn't want for the charity shop. To be honest I am worried what DD2 will say when she comes round tomorrow cos she's very much a "but I brought you that" type of person.
I cleaned the upstairs windows and mirrors. I also washed the bedroom curtains which are currently drying on the airer (Do not tumble dry), it was ok over night as I have a blind in the bedroom as well. Although I am thinking of replacing it with a voila curtain 🤔
So far this morning I've had a bath, S/S the bathroom. I've tried on clothing bits that my neighbour gave me and bits DD2 got from the charity shop. Also some bits that have been hanging in the wardrobe for awhile. I now have a pile for DD2 to go through before they go to the charity shop as well.
I'm now having a coffee before going back to hoover the other side of the room and put my kept teddies back.
Then I plan to start on the boxes from the attic that have been waiting forever in the other bedroom.

Why not freeze in an ice cube tray to add to recipes (white - risotto (for example)) red - the possibilities are endless.roundtuit said:

I hope this is an autocorrect or typo (ie I'm not attempting to correct spelling) but I have visions of a naked WW opening the curtains and shouting Voila! and it's made mewendywitch said:Although I am thinking of replacing it with a voila curtain 🤔
