Finally got the email at 3.30 this afternoon so wouldn't have got there before they closed so will go down tomorrow as both DH and I have hospital appointments this week so it's either that or end of the week!

    So annoying @joedenise x

Same company as your kitchen @maman Salesman is an ex fitter so should have known about the interior measurements/capabilities imho. Doors are on, no handles as DH too scared to drill them. Will ask BIL who is a carpenter by trade.

Cleared up the garden - so much tree debris and many leaves still to come down but I filled two wheelie bins. DH also cut the back lawn.

Had roast chicken for tea with spring greens and sprouts. Lovely and warming.

Two weeks left of DDad visit then I’m taking him home and will stay in the Cat Palace for a week. Stepmum has arranged to have her cataract done that week so I will be chief driver, cook and bottle washer plus stand in cat mum to the 8 of them. Prayers gratefully received.

    Morning,

Have just cleaned the en suite and cloakroom and having a quiet sit down before my volunteering session later. Not sure if I said that I was unsuccessful with the job interview. Probably for the best as would be a 40 min each way journey three times a week, fuel would have been costly, all for a minimum wage job.

    Food today:

B - toasted protein bagel thin, poached egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, satsuma - fibre, P, S

    L - LO cous cous, LO roast chicken, salad - 0.5, P, S

    D - tuna pasta bake - calcium, free, S

    Calcium - 350ml skimmed milk

SWIPs - 0.5 plus hi fi bar = 3.5 total

If you're expected to be chief cook and bottle washer when you take your dad back @Coxy11 , they can hardly banish you to the basement like last time. Or maybe you'd prefer that for a bit of peace and quiet??🤣

Shame about the job but you're right that it's more important than ever to take travel costs into account. Hopefully, something more local will turn up.🤞🏼

Sorry to hear you got messed about with the SC @joedenise. How annoying to get the email when you got home.😡 Have you gone for another Crockpot?

Thank goodness I cleared the washing basket yesterday as it's raining again today.☹️

We had roast pork from Asda yesterday. It was only a small piece that I'd picked up YS but it was so lean there was absolutely no waste. I'd definitely buy it again. There was enough for two of us for dinner and enough left to either make DH some sandwiches or have with pickles.
ASDA Easy Carve Roasting Pork Loin Joint 700g - ASDA Groceries

    Today's plan-
B- porridge, blueberries, strawberries and banana (fibre, S,F), milk (calcium#1)
    L- Usual Monday LOs (P,S,F)
D- spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce (P,S,F), Parmesan (calcium#2
    Swips- none planned

Afternoon all, raining. here too @maman but forecast to clear up later but doesn't look like it at the moment!

Been to pick up the SC this morning and not long been home. Currently cooking some carrot & lentil soup, shouldn't be long now and then will just need to whizz it up as prefer it smooth rather than chunky. Funnily enough vegetable soup we both prefer chunky!

We were really disappointed with the half shoulder of lamb yesterday, had picked it up YS but it was still over £9 and there was barely enough meat on it for one meal, was nearly all bone and quite a bit of fat. Was expecting a reasonable amount of fat but not the size of the bone!

    Today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk, fruit - Fibre, part Calcium, S, F
    L - carrot & lentil soup - P; S, F
    D - bacon, egg, chips, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F

    Fibre - Weetabix
    Calcium - milk
Swips - small scone & butter 20? (no idea really!)

Have a good day and keep safe if you're in an area where it's still really windy.

Happy Monday everyone. Its been a wild ride with the weather over the weekend hasn’t it.

We’ll done to all the losers.

I’ve weighed in at work with 0.2kg gain. (So much for going lower than target range 🙄) we hadn’t shopped at the weekend because of the weather and so last night we made home made pizza. ‘‘Twas lovely but at least a weeks swips. We used bbq sauce for the base, dough had olive oil in it and it had the EU mozzarella mountain on top along with some chorizo we brought back from Spain. I’m lucky I got away with 0.2 because I deserved more.

I’m going to shop after work and I have a meal plan so normal food is incoming.
no yogurt for brekkie so had a banana

Lunch was a nonHEB bread roll (from freezer) with ham and tomato and 2 satsumas

Dinner will be a quick bacon medallion and pea rigatoni made with low-fat soft cheese, mushrooms and leeks - needs to be quick as I’ll be late home after the supermarket.

Another weather warning from 9pm tonight for wind - hope there are no more trees down cos I’m off early in the morning. Keep safe everyone.
