Morning,
Glad your head is improving @beanielou and that your Mum is plodding on. Is she still staying with you? X
A good albeit late night. Think we fell into bed at 00:15 and poor DH is working today. It wonโt surprise you to know that I havenโt had any contact with boss since Wednesday so Iโm assuming she doesnโt need me to work today. DH said to me yesterday to go quiet and just have a day out with friends. Trouble is a lot of my friends are an hours drive away and some work, so any socialising needs planning rather than spontaneity. Frustrating really. I will go to the town and run some errands then clean the house I think - body magic ๐
Last night I had a chicken burger - butterflied thigh - with salad instead of chips and had a very uncomfortable tummy - very bloated. Glad I have upped my steps again this week and done two runs, which I hope will offset that meal!!
Food today:
B - poached egg, toasted protein bagel thin - P, HEA
L - apple, some kind of cous cous TBC
D - grilled salmon, green veg, plain rice - P, S, free
HEA - milk
Syns - skinny bar 3 - other TBC

Morning all, welcome to another grey and wet day although not actually raining at the moment although has been most of the night.
@bubbs that guy has done brilliantly so not surprised he's been entered for slimmer of the year. What he's lost is more than I weighed when I started SW!
Sorry your head to taking longer to heal than expected @beanielou, hopefully it will heal properly soon. Glad you're mum is still plodding - not much else either of you can do really is there?
Well done on your loss @maman - it was nearly a lb so I'm sure the other 0.2lb plus another lb will disappear next week!
Pleased to say I lost 1.3lb this week and I'm now less than 2lb from top end of of target range. Will stick to plan again this week and hopefully lose a bit more towards that target.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, frozen mixed fruit - HEB; S; F
L - burger, onions, pickles, soft pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, beans, corn on the cob - P; FHEA - milk
HEB1 - porridge
HEB2 - soft pitta
Swips - burger 0.5; half carrot cake (from the goodies my friend sent me) 9! (can't justify eating it all if I'm sticking to plan!)Have a good day everyone.
PS - you might have noticed I've sussed single spacing! Press the shift key and return at same time if anyone else wants to know

Forgot to say I've finally finished the blouse I was making! I've taken a photo but can't get it to load on here. I'll have a try on my phone later (as that's where the photo is!)
PS - for some reason it won't accept my password on my phone so can't even load the photo from there!

My mum is here another couple of weeks. I am quite worried about her going home after having done next to nothing here. She also has dreaded stairs. Will see how things go.

That's not good @beanielou; can you at least encourage her to do some day to day stuff at yours so that she's not going from doing nothing to doing everything that needs to be done.
Do you have a friend nearby with stairs where your mum could at least see how she gets on with stairs. Is there any way she could "live" on the ground floor rather than having to go upstairs. It was what my mum needed to do for her last few months as she couldn't get upstairs (or back down) safely.

Apologies @maman I missed your loss - did read the thread on the long train journey home last night but brain like a sieve xx
That's not good for your Mum @beanielou. I have the same issue with mine, she's currently very active but only has an upstairs bathroom, so if anything were to happen to her mobility it would be very difficult.
I ran my errands in town and whadya know bumped into Mum again - that woman is never in! Had a coffee in Sainsbobs and dropped her home.
I bought an orzo and tomato salad pot from Sainsbobs so that was lunch. Had been chatting to Mum about boss and got a bit emotional about it as I just want to do a job and not be 'on call'. Why is it so flaming difficult. I got home, ate lunch and checked my phone. There was a message - can't say who from as it's a bit secret squirrel - but it sent me to the goodies cupboard where I found crisps and chocolate. Not good but I'm a bit flustered by the message. Sorry for being secretive but if anything comes of the call I will reveal all.
I have cleaned the bathrooms and put on a towels wash. Need to hoover around and polish the furniture. That will add to my steps. I've made a conscious effort this week to get more active so hoping all the damage done over the last 24 hours isn't too bad come Monday.

My mum is doing some day to day stuff at mine. However as the weather has been so bad she has not been even out for a walk. I am just worried it will be a big jump. She is normally very active and people donโt realise sheโs in her eighties. Itโs her birthday next week and I havenโt even thought about a present.

Sorry, just a quickie , Ill hopefully get more time after the weekend
Mum is still in, from Diverticulitis on Tuesday night we switched to bowl cancer Wednesday lunch time ( still in A+E but at least on a proper bed and in a cubicle ) Was told the gynae team ??? would be visiting between 3 and 4 so I went back up to find she was on a ward and still hadn't been seen by any of the senior team and was still waiting the MRIHad that yesterday - still no diagnosis confirmed , but they have moved her to the Antrim hospital ( outside Belfast ) where the Obs and Gynae team are - and the whole hospital is better equipped Our hospital is more of a diagnosis centre/ minor ops - go there, get stabilised/ diagnosed and moved as soon as a bed is available
She has gone from " omg the pain is so bad I needed morphine" to sitting out beside the bed and as sprightly as Ive seen her in a long whileHospital suits her
Obviously my diet is up the swaney without a paddle . Between work, dog walking, hospital visits , washing ( why do I get so much washing when she's in hospital ? ) and the kids and grandkids here for the weekend, its been grab what I can when I can . Plus it looks like she hasn't put a cloth around her bathroom since last December ( 2024 ) when I last raked it out when she was in - so Ive that to strip down and make hygenic
Not visited today because Im knackered and its a long drive and I couldn't face it
Sorry its all me me me, Ill be back on even keel soon - I HOPE
Thankyou everyone for asking after us - really means a lot. Im dealing with her, little sister is dealing with hell on earth and im so stretched I think you could read a book through me0
