Now that's what a salad should look like @bubbs. 👍

Sorry about the ice cream maker. Too heavy to bring to the apartment. 🤔☹️

weighed in this morning and I’d lost 1lb. Very pleased with that.

I’ve had Sw chips and egg this evening as I’m on my own. Was delish!

Early start in the morning so I’m off to bed now. Oh and I finished my book, the twist was incredible! Did not see it coming at all

Well done to all those who’ve had losses or losses waiting to happen,

I have had a very mixed week it was ds birthday on 29th and we headed into big city for a birthday lunch. It’s a steak restaurant which is usually quite expensive but they had a January offer - 3 courses for £26.50 midweek. It was heaving. Every calorific mouthful was delicious. As were the cocktails and wine that went alongside. Ds was made redundant and has bought a house near Dd so we celebrated all of that too.

Then I visited my brother who is out of hospital and doing much better than I expected. He celebrated his golden wedding anniversary over the weekend so we had cake and nibbles with him.
i weighed over the weekend and put 3 lb back on…..so I’m back to 5 lb away from the next stone bracket.

I’ve had a BP monitor on today and have to report back to the pharmacist tomorrow for the results. This has given me the kick up the backside I need I’m nearly 2 stone overweight now and really don’t want to go on BP medication. I’m only 4ft11 and carrying the extra weight is telling on me 🤬

Breakfast - porridge, milk and blueberries

Dinner - broccoli and Stilton soup

Tea - flattened chicken based pizza, jacket and salad

Snacks - satsumas and a banana.

    January spends - £587.58

Great result @Matron_Midge , and the first fiver in the jar - yayyyyy

@Coxy11 , sure it's disappointing, but it's not a gain . I had 3 weeks of STS and finally got a half pound . Im putting it all down to the weather

Never have I felt the cold like Im feeling it this year and when cold , Im looking for hot comfort food , and sweets and chocolate . Im never feeling full either

Last nights super moon was AMAZING. Let the dog out at 2:30 am. and it was as bright as day out there . Beautiful clear sky . Which of course ment car needed scraping off ice this morning and so cold in work, the oven took an extra ten minutes

Living room is decorated. and it's looking lush. Ive gone for a blue - Denim Slate which has turned out to be a really rich, deep warm blue/ grey . Being an eaves room we dont have much in the way of walls , just the two gable walls - one that is the stairwell and the other is where the tv stand is. That one we have wallpapered , a beautiful textured paper which is smudges of blues, greys and bronze, rather like a bit of tin that's been out in the the weather too long . Finally unwrapped the new rug I bought last year and happy days, it ties in beautifully DH is going to clean the room completely tomorrow. - its a bomb site right now

Cinema and lunch out tomorrow - with a friend. Off to see Hamnet. - I have the tissues to hand. Lunch will be at the hotel next to the cinema as there isnt much choice this time of year ( most places are closed Monday / Tuesday during the winter ) But it will be my main meal for the day so Im not panicking

Weather as usual - dire. So cold and now the wind is picking up again , the beast of the east is coming for us

    Morning all,

Well done on the 1lb loss @Matron_Midge 👏

Sounds like you’ve got loads going on @milann - be kind to yourself x

Lovely to have a newly decorated Living room @Longwalker - I hope to join you at some point this year. Am sorry the weather there is so awful x

Boo to no ice cream for a while @bubbs ☹️

The trip to Rochester netted two jumpers for DD. DS2 cooked which was lovely and meant I could get on with my crochet project. I was nodding off at 10pm though due to my very early start. Pleased to say I slept in until 8am today. We are popping to the High Street later as have a few errands to run.

    Food today:

B - maple porridge sachet, milk, blueberries, satsumas - HEB, 1/2 HEA, S

L - brown rice bowl - brown rice, feta, edamame beans, pickles, soy sauce, apple - free, HEA, S

    D - smoked salmon and pea pasta - 3

    1/2 HEA - milk

    Syns - skinny bar 3 plus 3 = 6 total

Morning all, another dry, grey day and quite windy too. Planning on doing a load of washing tomorrow so hopefully it will be as windy as always helps to get the clothes dry quicker!

Well done @Matron_Midge on your lb loss. Glad you enjoyed your egg and chips - not had that for ages but maybe I'll change today's planned lunch and have egg and chips instead (I'd planned on cheese omelette but fried eggs sounds good - and DH will enjoy it more than an omelette!)

Your front room sounds lovely @Longwalker - bet it looks stunning with those colours.

The meal out sounds good value for 3 courses and glad you enjoyed the Swips consumed - nothing worse than having loads and not enjoying them! Good to hear your brother is out of hospital and on the mend.

Bet you're going to miss your ice cream maker @bubbs but you'll enjoy the ice cream all the more once you're back home! Hope you manage to get some bargains today (assume you meant Company Shop!) and that you manage to get some beetroot. Not sure if I mentioned it but when we were last in France I found diced beetroot in water in a tin so bought a few tins - opened one yesterday to have with jacket potato, very nice it is too. I ate about half a tin so the rest is in the fridge (DH not overly keen so only had about 3 tiny bits!). Only got one tin left so will definitely buy some more next time we go over if I see it again.

    Today's plan:

    B - almond baked oats, frozen fruit, yoghurt - HEB; S; F; 3

    L - SW cauliflower cheese chips,- HEA2; S; F

    D - cowboy pie - S; F; 1

    HEA1 - milk

    HEA2 - cheese

    HEB - oats

Swips - sausage in cowboy pie 1; almonds 3

    Have a good day everyone.

Edited to change lunch! DH decided he fancied cauliflower cheese & chips!

    Afternoon all,

Well done on the loss @Matron_Midge 🎉. Love the colours @Longwalker when I’m not looking at holidays my other hobby is looking at houses for sale purely for decorating ideas (and I’m nosey 🤣).

If you enjoyed your meals out and time with family @milann then any gain is worth it. Besides, you’ll have it off again in no time.

I’m not having a great week - unexpected dental woes and a scan at gynae to look forward to. Why does everything happen at once?! Upside is I’ve not been eating much the last few days 😁

I managed a sweet omelette and yoghurt earlier and it’s likely to be pasta with Arrabiata sauce for dinner.

Change of plan for lunch again! There really wasn't enough cauliflower cheese for both of us so I let DH have it and I had the originally planned egg and chips - and really enjoyed it.

So HEs and SWIPs changed again!

    HEA - milk

    HEB - oats

    HEB2 - 0.5 almonds

Swips - just sausage (1) in the cowboy hotpot!

We went out in this awful weather. Our lane is shut again - this time for 10 days for fibre to be installed but the diversions are all through the lanes and they are flooded. Glad to be back before school pick up time.

Forgot my recyclables for Boots so didn't go there. Did pop to Sainsbobs to drop off soft plastics and to Savers for a couple of bits, plus grabbed a decaf coffee in the vintage tea shop. DH also had a sausage sandwich. I wasn't even tempted - my body is a temple lol. Went to Food Warehouse for some frozen spinach and also picked up some of the SW pancakes - one pack of each blueberry and maple. They also had naans. All of these were on a cardboard stand beside the freezer. Got some YS crumpets x 9 for 37p and a sour dough loaf YS'd to 65p for DH. Not bargains on the scale of @bubbs but was pleased nonetheless!

Sorry you've health woes this week @Jellybaby, hope you're okay?

Cauli cheese and chips is something DH would love too @joedenise!! Glad you enjoyed your egg and chips (aka Girl Dinner at Casa Coxy).
