Morning all
Weigh in day today and I've lost 1lb, which is all I was after this week as I was away at the weekend and there are still bits of Christmas food handing around the house. So I'm happy with that.
WFH next two days so should be easy to stick to the plan, and I've joined PureGym for a month just to get my activity up while it's so cold, it's half price for the first month with no joining fee, and no cancellation fee or notice period, so £13 which feels worth it as its only round the corner. We're also having a new bathroom put in on 2nd February, so will give me somewhere to have showers!
Have great days everyone.0 -
Morning all,
Good result @lilian1977 especially given your weekend away. That’s a good gym offer with the bonus of a hot shower during your bathroom works! We are going looking at bathrooms today as our en suite is straight out of the 80’s with a peach suite and groovy tiles. Wish us luck…
Food today:
B - blueberry wheat pillows, blueberries, 0% Greek yoghurt, banana - HEB, S, free
L - orzo pot - orzo, red onion, sun-dried tomatoes, feta, red wine vinegar, apple - free, S, HEA, 3
D - steak, AF chips, field mushroom, vine tomatoes, peas - P, free, S
HEA - milk
Syns - skinny bar - 3.5 plus 3 = 6.5 total

Sorry MIA again, RL continuing to get in the way. I’ve eaten whatever was easiest the last few days between mum’s house, hospital, my house, aunt’s house and trying to dodge snow and icy roads.
My current thought is get through this week, take whatever WI says on Saturday morning and start afresh.
@beanilou my mum’s bought a load of M&S ready meals too and some of their pies for Dad getting out of hospital later. She’s also bought her body weight in various ice-cream creations from Lidls! Another very elderly pair who eat like birds but would kill you for a dessert 🤣1 -
Afternoon all, this morning has just disappeared! Had to go shopping and there were so many roads closed between where we live and the town centre! We ended up changing direction 3 times to get there - probably didn't help that DH needed to pop into the dentist for make another appointment - was supposed to be just for an X-ray but one of the dentists was actually at the reception desk and said he'd be able to do the extraction (our own dentist was going to refer him to a surgery in Sittingbourne as she didn't feel able to do it! Trouble is he needs to stop taking his blood thinners before he can have an extraction so no appointment until next week, even though the dentist said he could fit him in tomorrow - no chance of that happening!
Well done @llillian1977 on your loss - that's a good loss after a weekend away. Good offer on the gym too and at the right time for you with having your bathroom done so will be able to use their showers.
Another good day for you @Coxy11. You definitely like the grain pots for your lunch, don't you?
Today's plan has turned out to be an unintentional Green day (for those of you who have been doing SW for a long time will know what I mean!):
B - stuffed mushroom - HEA2; S; F
L - mushroom omelette - P; S
D - butternut squash & chickpea curry, rice - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - skinny bars
Swips: none planned
Have a good afternoon and evening everyone.

Yes. I think the mothership prefers M & S ready meals. Unfortunately the one here is tiny & no one seems to deliver M & S apart from Ocadia who don’t deliver here. What about Wiltshire Farms @beanielou? They deliver frozen ready meals so might be worth a try but no idea if they deliver in your area.
Change of plan for lunch DH didn't want mushrooms again so we had eggs on toast instead - very tasty it was too, not had that for a long time.0 -
Yes @joedenise I am much more a pot lunch person rather than a sandwich. Don’t mind a JP too but I’m out of those until I go shopping. DH takes two rounds of thick cut sandwiches to work, plus choc bar and bag of crisps. I would have a food coma if I ate all that!!
Good to concentrate on life admin atm @Jellybaby and start afresh at the weekend.Stay safe and warm folks xCross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2026 founding member 😊 Read 26 books in 2026 1/26 Currently reading The Trial by Rob Rinder0 -
Well done on your loss @lilian1977. 1lb is excellent after barely 3 days. 👍
The only thing I can think of @beanielou is that some petrol stations around here have a M&S Simply Food attached for people who want to pick something easy up on the way home. It's a long shot though if there's no M&S in your area.
I'm sure you're enjoying the orzo bowls @Coxy11 and there's no problem having the same thing if you enjoy them. If I don't have any decent sized potatoes then I'll cook 2/3 smaller ones for a JP. I rarely buy designated baking potatoes. Fortunately the potatoes from veg wars are a really good size and I'll be eating those for some weeks yet. 😁
I never did Green Days myself @joedenise but I do remember them. I think the best change on SW over the years has been the extra HEA allowed and now you can choose any 3 HEXs that's even better. 👍 How annoying that there is a dental appointment available tomorrow but Joe can't use it. Hopefully next week will be OK.
Sometimes all we can do is draw a line and start afresh @Jellybaby.
The only SWIPs I've had since Sunday were for 1 chocolate biscuit yesterday. I feel fatter than ever as I think the Christmas overeating has caught up this week. I'm going to weigh tomorrow as a fresh start.
I've got a clear week ahead but soon some social occasions will start to interfere.
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, berries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- LO ham hash (P, S, F)
D- cod (P), chips (F), veg (S)
Swips - 00 -

Needs to behave itself i need to get to the unit tomorrow to make orders.
Well done lilian on your loss 👏👏
