That makes it more difficult Beanie, apart from casserole, what about sausage and mash?
I tried to get the Naan breads today, none to be had, she said as soon as they come in they are flying off the shelf, bit like when the wraps first came outSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Morning all, supposed to be a bit warmer today - might get up to 4 or 5 degrees! Still too cold for me!!!
Have decided to do a machine load of washing and hang it out. With a bit of luck it will get the worst of the water out and won't need to be in the tumble dryer as long!
I tried to get the naan breads yesterday as well @bubbs, again none in sight, they didn't have any wraps either but not desperate for those as still have some in the freezer.
That's going to be really difficult to make things for your mum @beanielou as a lot of freezable recipes with include mince and/or dairy. What sort of things does she currently eat? There might be some things you could make in a slow cooker (assuming you have one) which would give extra portions to freeze. Of the top of my head something like a lamb hotpot - there's definitely a recipe on the SW website and the blog, potatoes wouldn't crisp up like they do in the oven of course. Does she eat curries and rice? Plenty of recipes for curries available that don't include mince. Sorry not much help but can't really offer anything else other than have a look on the website for ideas.
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash (will use up the LO potatoes and veg from Sunday) - P; S; F
L - Toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEB; HEA2; S
D - marinaded lamb with garlic sauce, couscous, salad - P; S; F (recipe from May/June magazine)
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Swips - may have a lolly 6
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
@beanielou could you make a chunky veg soup for DMum with chicken. If you have a soup maker you can just bung it all in with some shop bought cooked chicken? Ping meals of liver and bacon or bangers and mash like @bubbs suggested? I’m just thinking about those companies that deliver RM meals - maybe have a look on their website and order a few/get ideas there?
Food today:
B - 2 satsumas, AF bacon, toasted protein bagel thin, poached egg, spinach - HEB, P, S
L - brown rice bowl, gherkins, pickled red cabbage, pickled pink onions, edamame beans, feta, apple - free, S, HEA
D - SW turkey saltimbocca, AF potatoes, green beans, tender stem broccoli - 0.5, free, S
HEA - milk
Syns - skinny bar plus 0.5 = 4

Thanks again. She doesn’t eat sausages either! She does like lamb though which I loathe so could do something with that.Appreciate all your help.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Sounds like it's going to be very difficult to feed your mum @beanielou but as @Longwalker said earlier it may be that she'd rather just have very simple food like scrambled eggs or beans on toast with something sweet to follow. Perhaps she'd eat some homemade soups which don't take long to make and you could easily freeze portions of the leftovers.

I'd go for whatever your mum fancies and is easy for you to prepare @beanielou even if mse and SW go out of the window for a while. My mum liked to eat stuff from M&S that she could easily microwave. 😉
Thanks for looking up the Morrison's fishcakes @bubbs. They're a good stand by to have in the freezer. Pleased they're still just 2 swips. 👍
It's a glorious sunny day here @joedenise and really warm. 😎 Hope your washing dries,i don't have enough yet to make use of the weather.
Another good menu today @Coxy11. Hope it pays off on the scales.
Today's plan -
B- Fry up (HEB, P, S)
L- LO veg and meat with pickles (P, S, F)
D- Austrian ham hash (P, S, F) with cauliflower and broccoli (S)
Swips-00 -
Although it was windy it wasn't drying very much so decided to being it in the tumble dry it a few minutes ago. At least the worst has been blown out so shouldn't take too long to dry!0

Evening all 😁
I said earlier when we was trying to sort the washing machine out (it's outside and had frozen 🙄) it's not cold today, soon changed my bloody mind! Sorted washing machine anyway for now, but we are forecast really bad weather tomorrow evening going into Friday 🙄
