    Morning all,

AWOL the last few days due to RL. Thinking of everyone who is dealing with illness either for themselves or family members. My dad has been taken into hospital, nothing too serious and he’s on high dosage ABs and will hopefully get out tomorrow. In his early 90s he’s refused any further tests 🤷‍♀️

Between this and DS1 still here for another week, food hasn’t always been on plan the last few days. However, I’m determined today will be better - for my own health!

So, breakfast was toast and jam (HEB and 4 syns), lentil soup for lunch and it’s mince and potatoes for dinner. The mince is loaded with carrot and onion and I’ll add peas on the side.

i need to find an hour to go shopping as I’ve run out of fruit, yoghurt, milk, eggs and cheese! The forecast snow hasn’t happened (so far) just sleet so off to write a shopping list and get moving.

So lets start again here :)

@beanielou - thank you for the new thread and hope all goes well with mum xx

Welcome aboard @lilian1977, @Jwil , @Suffolksue, and @Betharooni.  This is a great thread for support with lots of long time members  - we share a lot here

To everyone who has family members going through cancer treatments - HUGE HUGS  Its a bloody insidious desease

@bubbs , good to see your food photos again , didnt realise how much I missed them . Always look like a good plateful of goodness

@Coxy11 Sorry the scales have gone in the wrong direction for you.  I sat and looked back at my book and I have spent the year battling 4lb - ie I ended the year 4lb lighter then I did the year before lol. This is why I still find it so important to go every week , the minute I go above target I take a week of working hard to get back down. The year before I took a couple of months off and 8lb on - which took 3 times as long to get back off !!   Im not saying for you it will be the same, Im just saying this is how I have to work . I do have to keep in the mindset of. - I dont want to get fat again

Can anyone remember me saying about the time I went through my wardrobe ? And that I vac packed my bigger clothes away because I concerned I would be needing them sooner rather then later?  End of my first year at target I finally got rid of my size 18's. Some point in the last year I got rid of the 16's and at the start of last month Ive been whittling out the 14s  - not quite ready to get rid off them, Im vac packing - JIC

Anyways I went with the mince last night, was bloody tasty. I did air fryer roasties with it, the cauliflower , but the sprouts were a step too far for me so did peas

Not eaten yet today, not long back from work and am jumping in the shower shortly. Ive some warburtons protein thins out of the freezer ( always reduced on a Saturday so buy then and stash in the freezer )  and Im having an open sandwich with lots of speed, cottage cheese and if the gammon hasn't gone over - that as well - and pickles

Tonight I have sirloin steaks and some huge beef tomatoes and mushrooms . Not sure what I have in the way of spuds in the house so not sure if it will be jackets or wedges - but all on plan.

And Im going easy on the booze

    Keep warm everyone xx

Right. SW friends. I need ideas for small portion meals. For someone in their mid eighties. Who eats like a bird. Bearing in mind it’s not that I can’t cook, it’s that I can’t stand for any length of time. Thanks.

DH picked up some pork & herb sausages in Lidl's this morning.  Can anyone help with the swip value please?  Unfortunately he's thrown away the sleeve so haven't got the necessary stuff for the syns estimate but do remember seeing they were 374 cals for 2 sausages, hopefully they're not too fatty as we've got 3 lots in the freezer!

Thanks @bubbs.  It's the 12 pack of sausages so I'll go with 3 syns each - not as good as my butchers but could have been worse!
