Today I've been displaying criminal tendencies by leaving the area and going to the building site. Was long overdue though as I really should put in an appearance more often at our own house that we're paying for.
It was a slight 'mare what with wall and tile colours being completely different to what we'd ordered but no-one can say I didn't go.
Downstairs flooring and underlay has been ordered.

The torrential rain has stopped me from tackling the run today. I did a bit of prep for it yesterday but the rest might have to wait til the rain eases.
I have however faced up to the massive OAT of shipping. I thought I'd lost the quotes I got at Christmas, but luckily past me knows I have a crap memory and had saved them to a word document. Present me is very grateful. Sometimes the hardest thing is just facing the massive thing you've been putting off. I have faced it, and I have some old quotes, and I have decided which two companies to contact for additional info 💪. That looks like a roast chicken on my laptop but it is meant to be a strong arm.
A few seeds have been planted (indoors).

Emails sent to two shipping companies to get further info.
My tea was delicious lamb chops from the local butcher. You can't always get what you want there as it's supplied by just 3 local farms but it's always amazing quality and taste and very forgiving of my cooking. The Christmas potatoes are starting to look a bit... sad. I'm going to try and have a big push to use up as many as possible by the end of the month.
There are also fruits n veggies in my freezer which may need some attention soon.

When I had some potatoes going over like that I just boiled the lot up and mashed them and then froze them in mounds using an ice cream scoop. Saves them going to waste. Can use them by just reheating them in the oven (a bit like duchesse potatoes) or microwave them to reheat or even bung them all back in a saucepan and whisk them all together with a bit of butter/milk and reheat slowly.

Finally chose an alternative shampoo and conditioner. A real quality of life thing!
