spinning is a grinding affair. So far a bead and parts of £10 note have been retrieved . Not sure if I’ve cured it yet.

KajiKita - thank you for starting the WM conversation (although I realise it wasn't one that you wanted to start), it made me unscrew the 'plug' thing at the bottom of ours today. I didn't find the supermarket trolley token I was looking for 🙄 but I did find 5p, I degunged the filtery thingummy, and at least the water that poured out (absolutely impossibly designed, so that you can't catch the water in any sort of container), dried pretty quickly on the concrete floor of the garage.

Check your drum carefully @ladybird1106 there might be a nail or pin, or hair grip or earring stuck in one of the holes.
Otherwise, your bearings have gone. I know too much about wm repairing. Also, do not Electrocute your partner. Apparently they don't appreciate it.... 🤷.

Nah, being a WM 'guru' wasn't high on my list of ambitions this week …. 🤣
Our WM is in in our undercroft which is 'carpeted' (carpeted enough to get stinky if it had a WM empty on it). So Mr KK tipped the WM back, wedged it up with some chunky bits of wood (c. 5 inches sqaure in profile) then tipped it back forwards again, to level it, and then opened the 'plug' over the top of a large gardening / watering tray. Once that was half full we stopped and decanted the tray into a waiting washing up bowl, which I ferried outside to a grateful fuchsia. We then repeated the operation. Not a drop of WM water reached the floor 😊👏
But I thought electrocuting one's OH was all part of the perks of having to constantly wrangle the WM ….? 🤔 #disappointed! 🤣🤣😉

Thanks for wm advice, checked the drum, filter etc, will spin and drain but not when it’s an actual program. So, called a repair company 🤞 it can be sorted.

Well I made it to the end of the week 😊 Not too bad actually. I’ve bought a dead hang bar which, after several attempts, Mr KK found a door reveal it could hang off. I have been using it daily since and it does seem to be helping 😊
I’m quite enjoying learning Spanish on 2olingo - it seems so much more logical (to a native English speaker) than French! 😉😂
Unfortunately, Mr KK has got Man Flu, the primary symptom of which seems to be moaning and gurning for sympathy! 🙄😂😂 He is a bit below par, but this is how I’ve been feeling for years … should I be more sympathetic? 🤔 Fortunately he doesn’t have a show this weekend so doesn’t have anything of great significance to do and I get the full benefit of his company! 😉
Groceries have been and are all sorted. I forgot to buy wild rice for my veggie bake tomorrow so will have to pick that up after my haircut this morning. I will come back through the village next to us to collect my prescription and then head out for lunch with a friend. It’s her birthday today, her 50th so it’s my treat and I have a couple of little presents for her - a self build steam punk style automaton and a sea glass mug, both wrapped in appropriate paper (dancing dinosaurs and roller skating unicorns - she will appreciate that 😊😉).
This afternoon will probably be quite lazy but there are a few things I could do around the place and there one or two apps I need to down load / explore (MnS for points - there are quite a lot of incentives and a pensions one for my work provider). Oh and I must reply to my dad’s last mountain climbing email ….KK
