Got home to the monthly statement from the house joint account. There was £90 left in there after all outgoings so have shuffled that off to the house joint EF account - now sitting at £630 (target, £1,000).

    KK

    As at 18.08.26:
    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £211,813
    - OPs to mortgage = £19,809 Estd. interest saved = £10,180 to date
    c. 16 months reduction in term
Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

    Read 65 books of target 52 in 2026 as @ 10th September.

Liking your mathsing. I can see why that may feel a bit depressing but how much are you smashing it by having a mortgage/being able to make OPs/feeling like you could cover mortgage alone in four years, that is a well good position to be in

£90 in the EF very nice, £630 is not too far off that 1k target at all
