@Vulpix glad Mr V has been checked over, and yike to the rat
@dND great bounty
Scaffolders running late so popped to drop off a CS bag, pay in a cheque which has been hanging around from my energy supplier months ago for the princely sum of 50p, and returned a top.
Back home trying to set an example to DD2 so have 2 items in CS bag, bits in the bin, and 5 lots of paper decluttering. Going to now start cleaning where dust and bits have come in from decorating - and will report back but adding 10 items so far.

Back to work today. It was actually enjoyable once I got going….
Finished early afternoon so pottered around in the garden after. Neighbours are away and have said I can use their bins - I managed to fill two wheelie bins full of green waste.
Completed day 21 of the "minimalist game" - (231 items this month) the final day of banked items now used up so not sure how much longer I will be able to keep going.

Tuesday is dull & cloudy with the sun struggling to break through. The forecast high is 25°C, low 14°C with a NNE wind making it feel 2° cooler. DSis has her last course appointment today so has just left (12:25) as she has to go by bus.
Great decluttering oceanspirit 👏 Well done reconnecting with your friends 🥹 I confess that I am very bad at keeping in touch with friends & as time passes I get to feeling that I would be intruding if I got in touch 😔 Time to give myself a good talking to 🤔
Soontobeoap, thank you for my medal 🏅I have already added it my signature 🥹
Florenceem, sounds like C is trying to ignore the fact that you are leaving - very childish of him 🥺 I don’t think your Church friend will have to try too hard to sell the gnomes 😉 They are wonderful ☺️
vulpix, so much for MrV retiring 😉 Very kind of you to pin up the legs on your friend’s jumpsuit ☺️ Are you doing the sewing as well? What is This “I only managed about an hour in the front garden yesterday (Sunday)” 🤨 you are allowed to have time off from the gardening 🙏 Ouch to MrV’s new bruise 😣 I had to smile at the idea that you would ever put MrV in a home 😆 By the way, “painkillers then garden” is not good ☹️ Please, please don’t overdo it 🙏
15:00 DH just phoned - he is on his way home with an ETA of 17:30 to 18:00. He has had sunny warm weather for his riding whilst here it is warm but very cloudy.
Green_hopeful, I would class that as rather more than “small progress in the garage of doom” getting rid of the last part of a wardrobe as well as the antifreeze & the scrap metal from the bbq 👏 A very MSE repair of the garden umbrella ☺️
Excellent decluttering greent 👏 Over halfway to your general decluttering target so a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way ☺️
florianatwobob, lovely pictures ☺️ I agree with both daisy_1571 & Brie - very moody and atmospheric + I would also have bought them 😊
BlueJ94, sorry to hear you were so tired on Sunday 😞 hope you managed to get your early night 🤞 Wow what a great haul at the CS 🤩 I love the Scentsy warmer ☺️ I even googled Scentsy but couldn’t find it ☹️
DH got home 18:30, a bit later than expected due to heavy traffic.
Florenceem, so pleased to hear that the handover of keys went smoothly 🙂 Another successful day of your food challenge 👏
EnergyShifter, great news that the gypsum has gone (including the half bags) 🥳 no wonder you are so happy ☺️ Congratulations on completing Day 20 of the Minimalist Game 👏
Great work on the digital decluttering oceanspirit 👏 Hopefully as you continue the sorting, “The Big Mess” won’t be there too long 🤞You are putting me to shame - I really must bite the bullet & start contacting my friends & hope that they want to meet up 🤞
?TC77, sorry to hear that DD2 is feeling ‘down’ 😞 I imagine it has been quite a shock coming back to England after a year in Australia 🤔 Just wondering if she has more studying to do? Hopefully the scaffolding has been taken down & the decorators have finished 🤞Good luck with your next attempt to tackling the European train booking system 🍀
Florenceem, great decluttering 👏 Good luck with the new room of doom 🍀
surprisinglynice, you have been busy 👏 I should have read your post earlier - I could have popped round for some lasagne 😉 Good luck with the modpodge* 🍀 *I had to look this up & now think it is a useful item to have 😊
dND, what a relief to get a good nights sleep 😮💨 hopefully that made it easier to locate your missing mojo 🤞Great buy in FF & congratulations on your win 🥳 Also a very MSE way to utilise your mini windfall 👏 It is always surprising how easily buying non food items can scupper a weekly budget 😮💨 Beautiful looking produce - I am now imagining how tasty it all is especially the tomatoes 🤤 What a great way to spend your time - processing hg food ☺️ Well done on making a start on “evicting the old wood” 👏 & good
vulpix, I do hope you are OK 😊 Perhaps you could take a day off from gardening work just to make sure you don’t get ill 🙏 Relieved to hear that MrV went to see the doctor 😮💨 Keeping my fingers crossed that you can keep the quince alive 🤞
Brie, good luck keeping the rose bush 🍀 I did see your photo & it looks very healthy ☺️
Excellent decluttering Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 A shame about the £££ being decluttered on the car 😔 Perhaps keep an eye out for another car just to see what is out there 🤔 Enjoy your walk on the beach with DD2 ☺️
Great decluttering TC77 👏 Well done on setting an example for DD2, hopefully seeing you making an effort to declutter will seep into her consciousness & she will join you in decluttering 🤞 I also hope that the scaffolders turned up 🤞
Great work filling up your neighbours bins EnergyShifter 👏 & very well done on completing day 21 of the Minimalist Game 👏 3 weeks 🤩 - I managed 4 days……once, so I am really impressed 🥹
Dinner tonight was sausages, mash, baked beans & plum tomatoes. Wudupa

Hi, I didn't volunteer to sew the hem on my friends jump suit, though I think she was hoping I would offer. I am finished in the front garden for the moment.I have buried 22 stepping stones, I may do a couple more yet. Today is a rest day. Although it's only a rest from the garden. There is a lot of washing to do and the floor treatment people are coming back at 2 pm so I have to move stuff out of the way,Once the floor people are here we are off to Oxfordshire for a couple of days. The floor people will post the key through once they are finished.
Mr V is hurting even more today. I cannot stress how awful his bruising is, no patch of leg colour at all.
Pleased to have used up bathroom and kitchen supplies. I am still using MIL's hand wash stash, how many years later? We will still be good for at least another 4 or 5 years.
We have a little rain forecast at the weekend. Time to turn my attention to some inside jobs. The dining room looks like a shed. The kitchen cupboards still don't work since we put stuff in them when we moved in. Not helped by me not being able to reach the wall cupboards. Not that many floor cupboards as they are taken up with oven, washer and dish washer.
Better crack on
Vx

Hi all, been missing again sorry 😁. Quick update, some wins but I feel not much progress has really been made. I spent a day with friend's son B which was a bit of a mixed day, hard going at times as he was looking forward to his Mum getting home as was a bit bouncy but overall not a terrible day. Found out after his Mum got home that he had done a few things he shouldn't have, unknown to anyone or known but not understood and his Mum will have to help him sort out. Meanwhile I am offering support to his Mum which is all we can do atm.
I had a lovely catch up with my friend K from Swanage, met for brunch but didn't get home until 3 😂😂
I tried to make an appointment with the Chiropodist only to find I have been discharged from the service because I hadn't been for nearly a year. I have had to complete a self referral from and am waiting to hear when I have an appointment. I have been taking care of my feet myself thinking I was saving the nhs but that has backfired so I won't be doing that again. I have never missed an appointment because I have to phone and book an appointment myself, I will be having words with someone 😁 when I find out who that someone is 😂.
A couple of sessions in the garden now the weather has cooled down a bit and I have collected a load of poppy seeds from a pretty Icelandic poppy to send some to my sister for her wild life corner as the bees love them. Also a couple of sessions of ironing, more things sorted in the conservatory, things washed and other places found to store them and some things binned / recycled. Various bins emptied.
I have done some digital decluttering on my phone, over 300 messages deleted, had a dentist appointment and I made OH go through a bag of clothes so some things will be going to the cs after I have washed the dust off them and OH has taken the rest of the bag so a bin bag of clothes gone 😁.
Today I need to sort some banking stuff, iron my clothes for the wedding tomorrow, pack an overnight bag as we will be setting off quite early and I have also promised to help ln with chopping back a bush so I better get weaving 😂
@Vulpix glad Mr V has been checked out and the slippers have been binned 😁. Glad I only have brambles in my garden, mares tail would have me resorting to chemicals. I remember my Dad had some on his allotment and the hours I spent helping him dig it out , like painting the forth bridge so well done .
@Florenceem love the job in your hall
@florianatwobob I would also have bought those pictures 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one
Adding 25 so now at 1074/2026
Take care everyone
ETA we had rain here in Saturday, not enough to make a difference to the garden but it did cool things down a bit
