I'm playing catch-up so just read your sad news MadamMim pets worm their way into our hearts.
I had plans for today after three days volunteering (it was like being back atwork! ) but ended up having a lazy day other than listing what needs to go to the tip on Thursday.

Sunday is another warm day with a forecast high of 23°C, low of 13°C (feeling 2° cooler due to N wind) Most of the early morning cloud cover has dispersed so now just a few fluffy white clouds & lots of sunshine. There was enough leftover sausage linguine for 2 portions to be bagged & added to freezer. The back door wouldn’t lock properly so DH spent 20 minutes adjusting the hinges & it now works perfectly 👏 I am having a digital day & have deleted 50 photos from my iPad & created 3 new albums. Then I spent several hours on & off deleting files from most of my bookmarks will count as 5 + 2 re photos. Dinner was roast beef, roast potatoes, tomatoes & carrots, cabbage, Yorkshire puddings & hm gravy. Wudupa.1196 - 1198 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard box - recycled

Successful day yesterday. 2 large items going to friend’s son and several books into a box which will be taken to national trust bookshop.
It was lovely catching up with friend and had a phone call with another friend in the evening. I have been so bad at keeping in touch with friends for a long while so it has made me feel so much better to have made the effort and they all seem happy to hear from me.

@BlueJ94 they look delicious. One for my recipe book I think.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I am very surprised that you manage to get any decluttering done after all of your xh3r leading. It is very much appreciated and I think that you deserve a medal 🏅 for keeping up with is all.

Morning all.
I took my tablets very late last night so it was late to bed and then I didn't get off to sleep straight away. Up late this morning - nearly 9 am.
I have not had a reply from C to my two messages yesterday. If he doesn't reply I am not going to go round to the hall with my keys etc. I need him to be there to accept the keys as one of them is the safe key and can't be handed to anyone but the commanding officer.
A Church friend said she would try to sell gnomes for me. I got a message from her yesterday evening - Amanda and Albert are sold.
Hope everyone has a happy and productive day.

Hi, my friend came round last night whilst Mr V was at work. I pinned the legs on her all in one trousers n top, whatever they are called. She is off to a wedding and will look the business in her £9 bargain outfit. At size 8 she gets fabulous sale bargains with clothes.
I only managed about an hour in the front garden yesterday. I did however weed the pavement side of our and neighbours wall. More faffing about with where to bury old bricks as stepping stones for me today. Another friend is coming later to strim the back lawn again. TBF it looked better as long grass, it looks a right sight now. Whatever floats her boat.
Mr V's new bruise is coming out. Purple from hip to knee. His slippers are going in the bin and I have told him,one more fall and he's going in a home!🤣 The back door step will be gone in the fullness of time as the back door will be bricked up. It must have been a marvellous sight to see Mr V clutching the recycling wheelie bin rolling down a rocky slope together.
Right, pain killers then garden.

So small progress in the garage of doom. My husband still has his train set, record collection and random empty bottles but we managed to decant the train set into a box rather than part of a 1980s wardrobe so that went to the tip with six bottles of antifreeze, some debris from the garage and the scrap metal from the bbq.
He did say we could get rid of one of our bbq gas bottles so will put that on Facebook later. Apparently it’s the wrong gas for our bbq but its a green plastic bottle which is much easier for me to lift so thats a shame.I then fixed the garden umbrella we are using to shade our sunflowers on the patio. The cord for lifting it was completely perished. I already had the new cord from a previous repair on one of the others so that was a double win.
