Mojo went for a few days, large plastic box lid and large cushion binned and lots of emails.

First Time asking ai what to do with something. A storage box which I've never stored anything in and suggested spare cables, chargers, memory sticks etc. Think great as these are not in use and clutter up drawers. Also suggested socks but whose going to open a lid for socks but spare or archived electronics may work.

Open to other ideas.

1. Daily To Do List - written the night before
2. Sort out sleep patterns - initial targets: bed by 03:00, up by 10:30
3. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc.
4. Commence ‘Operation Financial Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
5. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
6. Plan & Execute ONE Major Project - 2026 New Bathroom
7. Target 2026 items out

Thursday is another hot sunny day with a forecast high of 28°C, low of 16°C & an ENE wind. DH had just got dressed when the tree chaps knocked on the door at 10:15 They carried their tools & bags through the house then got straight to work 😊 The  noise of the electric hedge cutter woke me at 10:25. They have made an excellent job & have tidied up so well that apart from the tree looking so good you wouldn’t know that they had been here 😉 All done & dusted by 11:35 & my purse is lighter as I paid in cash. DH has introduced them to neighbour J as he needs one of his trees pruned.

DH is about to take DSis to her appointment & will then continue to the sm for a small shop. I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible & staying hydrated ☺️

Just going through first aid supplies including those fro..my dad. Reckon I can bandage myself several times over or for our neighbour hood whatsapp group supply first aid for all in a catastrophe! 5 small bits out though.

@suprisinglynice - I laughed about you asking us where you might have put your big needles as it reminded me that I had lost something I knew was in a safe place. The worrying thing is that a few days later I can't remember what the item I was looking for was!

Children a bit sad about the football but they are all so tried as term comes to an end. DGS4 had excellent SATS results although they seem a bit meaningless to me and more about where school sits in league tables. DGD4 got a head teachers award the other day as well. DGS1 has his graduation this week whilst I am away. Sad news this week was that DS1 and dil have separated after 23 years - I was not really surprised but it is always sad.

Not much decluttering going on other than money. I have booked some of my Paris trip in October with DGS3 and 4. Stadium tour, Paris hotel and London hotel booked. Will go down the night before and catch early morning Eurostar. SoninLaw checked stadium tours (PSG) and found out there weren't any the days I intended to go. Now moved to second half of halfterm week and tour booked for the Friday. DGS3 needs a new passport which I have said I will pay for if his mother organises ordering it. Last pick up from primary school today as DGS4's mother is doing it tomorrow. They are going to walk in September except for emergencies, sickness etc. Hair appointment and taking Sir Sox to the cattery tomorrow.

Builders are working on my yard this afternoon. I have the money ready to pay. The NSI transaction I did the other day had failed completely so I had to do it again.

A bit bored this morning so drove to nearby garden centre and got cooked breakfast and wandered round. I knew it was daft to buy new plants if I was going away so only cafe bill paid out.

28/52 - an old make up set binned. This was one of those items that I haven't used but feel guilty about throwing out so it takes me ages to actually do it! And a pair of socks binned.

29/52 - a box of papers, instruction manual and the box they were being stored in all recycled.

Tc77 that box has fragile xmas dec's written all over it !! But yes, cables wound round in each space would work. Some sort of hobby would probably use it but clearly no good for you otherwise it would have immediately suggested itself.

I vote keep it for now, just it to corral spare cables whilst you're sorting then either something else will have suggested itself for it or something better will suggest itself for the cables.

Re your first aid stuff - how much is still sealed / sterile? I had acquired lots from a workplace, plus mine & my mum's and ended up buying a new compact first aid kit & passed all the old stuff to the local Beavers & Cubs for practising!

Well another month has gone by. My daughter’s wedding was a fantastic weekend.It was over too soon. We have been away in the van and we are going away tonight for a few days.

However a bit of decluttering has taken place.

@daisy_1571 I did thi k of craft things and that may be better as don't want to keep that many cables

Used to keep spare for dds but as dd1 now working and supplied with many things and dd2 back from Oz saying she plans to be less consumerist combined with being grumpy when I ask her anything means i'm just going to keep for me so 1 spare mouse, 2 not 5 spare charging cables! I have a box ( or2 ) for Xmas decorations or agree it does scream bauble.

Had a hospital appointment finally regarding my neuralgia. Nice consultant confirmed it. Yes I have neuralgia. So same thing I was told early in 2024. Sigh.

On the plus side the hospital is almost beside a friend's flat so she told me to park at hers and come back for a tea/chatter after. For a bit of fun I took some of my art kit and some flowers from the garden and we made flower prints while we chatted. It meant pressing the flowers on to the paper, covering with a paper towel and then bashing repeatedly with a hammer. Her cat was not very impressed with my visit before we got noisy and then left the room in disgust. Poor poppet!!!
