One of the dogs stayed downstairs with OH as too hot for him again!
OH is talking about going to a car show tomorrow i might not go its 1 hour drive to get there and I dont want to be stood around in the heat for hours, ill probably stay home and enjoy my own company!
Work until 2pm today the straight home to get changed as we have an evening boot sale that starts at 5 which is 1 hour 20 away.

Thursday continued: oops missed some cheerleading as I didn’t refresh the page before posting 😉 DH not only went shopping but had loaded up the car & stopped off at the Tip. Extra bits not counted previously - a bag of wood offcuts, a blunt knife, small bag of metal bits & a bag of general detritus 1176 - 1179. I put away all the shopping & after having a cuppa DH scrubbed the inside of our recycling wheelie bin. He also spent a bit more time tidying up in the garage. Dinner was linguine in a creamy bacon & pea sauce. Wudupa
1180-1182 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, drinks cans - recycled
1183 Kitchen detritus binned
Lovely to see you London_1 👏 Congratulations to DGS Mikey on graduating 🥳 What a proud day for you, Mikey & all your family 🥹 So pleased that you could see it - technology can be so marvellous ☺️ Sorry to hear that you have lost some of your plants & vegetables due to the heat 😔 We have a south facing garden & the only thing that loves the heat is our olive tree 😉 Hopefully we will get some cooler weather soon just so we can do some work 🤞 Please don’t be a stranger 🙏 as I for one love hearing about your family 🥹
Remember Willowtree222, every item out is exciting ☺️
TC77, I like the box - such useful compartments 😌 Hopefully an idea will present itself although initially storing cables etc sounds good 😊 Perhaps you can find somewhere to donate the excess bandages etc 🤔
GrannyKate, congratulations to the grandchildren on test results, awards & graduations 👏 Very sorry to hear about DS1 & DDiL separating especially after such a long time 🥺 The trip to Paris sounds interesting & I am pleased to hear that you will get your stadium tour 😊 Hopefully the NSI App has been repaired & it will be second time lucky with your transaction 🤞Well done on resisting the temptation of buying new plants 👏
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
Great idea daisy_1571 👏
Floss what a great idea for decluttering excess first aid stuff 👏
Mrs_Money_Penn, very happy to hear that your daughter’s wedding went so well 🥹 Sounds like everyone enjoyed themselves ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏
TC77, sounds like DD2 might become your greatest ally in decluttering…….. once she stops being grumpy 🙊
Brie, now that your diagnosis has been confirmed, I will keep everything crossed that a treatment plan can be put in place 🤞 Nice to know that you have a friend who lives close to the hospital so you might get to see a bit more of her 🥹
Florenceem, congratulations to your DGS who is graduating next week 🥳 Great work on your use it up challenge & great decluttering 👏 Hopefully grandson S enjoys his time in Belgium & your daughters enjoy A Midsummer Nights Dream ☺️ Wow, a school trip to Ghana 🤩
Yorkie1, I quite enjoyed Sewing Bee & the new host is not too distracting 😉 I didn’t watch the footy either although I did keep an eye out & was hopeful at 84 minutes ☹️

Congratulations to family members finishing uni and school and everyone with their decluttering.
Decorators back for a few hours today then scaffolding down next week and they'll be back to finish bits the scaffolding was blocking. I have big folding glass doors i never use as foxes come in and I find them hard to open and close. All windows and doors open to dry and just managed to close with dd2 help enough to secure but need decorators to do properly .
I think dd2 will be good but explained after doing the shed here and some if her room her dad then got her to sort things at his hiuse which included toys from when she was v little.
Item sold a couple of days ago, packaging and box , the few things I listed before and some paper so will add 10 , now 1132.
Another item sold and will count when out but hope to get another cs bag ready for tomorrow to drop off.

A period of overwhelm as couldn't find the item sold to package up - and feel I need to up my game. Not helped by things moved for decorator. Good now at putting new things in CS bag, main listings are for things they won't take. Another unused throw in a new CS bag - why I ever bought so many is unbeknown to me, but then a mystery how I have quite so much stuff. Also trying to sort out bank stuff which takes up too much time.
Have a surplus of chairs but undecided which to go. Setting myself a challenge of 50 items by the end of Sunday and will count digital, if I get halfway I'll be pleased but helps to set something to work towards.
Feels hot already. Hope everyone stays cool.

Morning.
Been out with the dogs, cloudy here so it's lovely to be cool, (cool enough for a hoody this morning)
Set of drawers emptied, some stuff to the charity box. Christmas cupboard sorted and some toys to be donated too. Need to freecycle the drawers as they're too good to bin.
I still haven't found my needles, it's so frustrating. I don't want to buy anymore as I know that they will turn up as soon as I do.
Sun is coming out, temperature is rising fast. I just need a nice 20 degree C day where I can get on with stuff and not be melting by 11am. I sound so ungrateful but I'm an Autumn/winter girl at heart.
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all. Like everyone I need it to cool down but as I'm heading to Crete tomorrow I am at least prepared. Side area of house is finished - not perfect but it was a patch up really but paving is level, grouting filled in and stones along border - will post before and after. Plan is to put a few tall plants in pots along the fence and get a small table and chairs. Well worth what I paid.
Packing all done so leaving about 4am for the airport. Sox is good and mad because he's trapped in the house now. He went out at 4am and came in when I got back from school drop off (last one!) - I will have a shower then take him to cattery - prefer to do that rather than worry about catching him later. He is inclined to disappear for hours in the afternoon. Hair at 11.30 then meeting DIL to get sweets and last minute bits for the journey.
At least 25 items of boy's clothing in bags ready to declutter - a bag of uniform in good condition for school to sell (I'll take that in September) and stuff for the charity bag. Loads of other school exercise books etc in bags for their mother to collect. Stuff returned to friend of DGD4.
718-742 Boy's clothes decluttered
743-744 Bags of stuff to their mother's house
745 Item returned to school friend
Right onward - shower then wrangle Sox into basket.

Morning all.
Mrs SD - daughter took her choir to Ghana - they visited two schools. I have videos of R conducting the choir. Trip was funded by a grant. So interesting to see the congregation dancing around in a Catholic Church - very different to here. I have only been to a couple of services in a Catholic Church but there was no dancing. I have a video of the coach driving through a town - such poverty.
suprisinglynice - I prefer Spring & Autumn.
Grandson J ( yes another one ) has a teaching job to start in December in Nottingham - just maternity cover.
When my grandchildren started to arrive - first one was J and second was A. Third was J and next was a J then an A arrived - so 5 babies just using 2 letters of the alphabet. Next there were two Fs. So 7 babies using only 3 letters of the alphabet. Last three DGC were S, M and N.
I am planning another day indoors - lots to do.
Bestie is coming here after she finishes work to try and sort my photos issue.

Thank you for my gold star Mrs SD. Your olive tree is an amazing achievement.
I hope St Swithen isn't accurate this year.😂 There is no rain on the horizon in our 2 week forecast. There are fires on the moors not far. It seems to happen every summer now, regrettably.
Congratulations to all the young peoples achievements. Another step on the road of life for them.
Bon voyage Granny kate.
The house decluttering is going in the wrong direction. The dining room looks like a storage facility. It has it's own furniture plus about 10 builders sand bags of kindling. It also has all the components of the bunk beds,a high chair with an old teddy bear, a small stool and and oak cupboard that I moved in there when the sofa was given away, to enable it to get down the hall. Oh a tall plant stand too.🤐 All my own work ! The thing is I like the hall better without the furniture, you can see the wood paneling better. Ah, there is also a kids circus tent on the dining table.🤣 Mr V brought home the 2 wombled dining chairs that he has cut new wood for the seats from man shed. They need me to sand the wood and varnish before they can be fixed together. Just to say we already have 6 dining chairs!Everything in there is waiting for me to do something with it.
DD1 has just phoned to ask if she can come and work from our dining table today.🤣 Of course. She just wants a change of scene and has offered to cook dinner.
What I have been doing instead of house stuff is garden stuff. I have done another section of deep weeding the front garden. I have also cut back a massive winter flowering jasmine and cut down a huge ivy that had grown over a brick built barbecue. The patio is much bigger now. I have weeded the patio and moved pots and the furniture around.
Today I will dig in some reclaimed bricks in the front garden for stepping stones and finish the weeding. I will get DD1 to help me move heavy stuff about later. I will then move into the back and begin filling the next ton bag with vegetation for the tip.
Mr V is going to the bank to pay in my tax refund cheque. His bruises are still very dark and expansive so I am making him sit a lot with his legs up.
Hugs for poorlies and anyone in need.
Vx
