I wrote a transfer request letter today and sent it to the divisional mission officer for approval. He is happy with it so I can forward it to C. There is a corps council meeting on Monday and it will be read out there.
Decluttered - 2 mirrors, a wooden bowl, a hedgehog ornament, a book, a bag of gubbins, a book, 2 artificial flower stems and 3 food covers.
Another dinner photo of my challenge.
nother dinner photo.

MadamMim2013 - sorry to hear of your loss.
I don't know what was happening with my last post - if you click on the arrow - the post appears. I will be so happy to get my camera back in action.
I am sending photos to myself and then downloading and opening in paint to resize - complicated.
Second HOT curry meal.
I have got more black pudding out of the freezer for tonight's meal.
Bestie's husband is coming to hang a clock and paintings for me tomorrow.

Brie - my sister went back to the doctor after having blood tests. He is referring her to Rheumatology - waiting time - 32 weeks.
I don't think I shared photos of the console table in my hall. I am pleased with how it looks. Very different to how it was.
Bestie wants to get the same lamp for her lounge.

@MadamMim2013 Much love to you and your son. Such a shock and it does take time to recover. Our fur babies never fully leave; they're always with us in our hearts.
I'm still finding the heat difficult or more precisely, finding the lack of sleep caused by the heat extremely difficult. Instead of my usual 7-8 hours of sleep, since the heatwaves began I've been getting 5-6 and as a consequence I'm very sleep deprived. I usually have to have a short siesta but as the bedroom is still 29-30C, it's not the most relaxing and recuperative sleep.
I did manage to get a few hours of bramble cutting done in the hedge this morning and I'm hoping to get back out into the parched desert that now passes for my garden 😢 as the temperature drops over the next few days.
I did get some good news today; DS1 got the managership of the shop that he wanted. The only downside is that he is probably going to move a bit further away from where I live. Only by 20 mins or so but I was getting to really like having him only 15 mins away. But I'm so chuffed for him, and DDiL1 as they will now both be working in the same town and will get more time together driving into work together. 😁
My brain is still not functioning as my cool room is still 27C and I can't remember what I've just read in the previous posts. 🥵🥵
Keep cool everyone, hugs to all who want and love to you all. Dxx

So sorry for your loss @MadamMim2013 . They are such a part of our families, aren't they?
Well done on the garden @GrannyKate - looks great. Have a lovely holiday.
Congratulations on finding the needles @suprisinglynice ! They may just have fallen in, perhaps?
@Florenceem I hope that the transfer to the new corps goes smoothly for you. I, like @Brie , love that jug in particular!

TC77 we had a lot of chairs last year when one of our kids sent 8 dining chairs back so she could get new ones. We did a Marie Kondo because we had 30 dining chairs. We are down to 22 for a table that technically seats 12 but we keep some in bedrooms as bedroom chairs and we often squeeze 18 around our dining table when family come.
I hope your chair minimisation goes ok.

Last week my lovely dog decided to chew my £70 specsaver glasses, I wear contact lenses most of the time and I ordered a new pair from Glasses direct for all of £13 including postage. Evri then posted the glasses through my letterbox even though I have a parcel box right next to my door!! Luckily theyve survived and I can see again without my contact lenses 😂😂

Granny Kate, that is a big difference in the before and after pics.
MadamMim, I am sorry for the loss of your fury companion. xx
Lovely table Florenceem, I love the lamp too.
surprisinglynice, well done on finding the missing needles, who would have thought it!
Drum roll please… the front garden has been dug over and deep weeded. The last bit of ground was so hard I had to water it to get the fork in. I have had a bit of a change round and moved some stepping stone bricks and made a step with them. 4 hours in total. Another day in the front garden and I will be happy with it, for the time being. When this weather ends I can crack on and plant more plants in there, transferred from the back garden.
DD1 made a stunning curry with fluffy flat breads. She went away with boxes of red currants and raspberries.
Out , worn through socks.
AS I am making Mr V rest his leg I will have another day in the garden tomorrow.
Vx
