Hi all, a reasonable day today considering the heat 😁. I have another bin bag of washing after I took all the hats, scarves and gloves off the top of the cost rack and hung them for a day on the line for a blow through. The bin bags are forming an orderly queue on the landing 😂. I continued with the conservatory clear up, 2 camping chairs hosed down along with a weekend bag thing OH had left in there. An old pillow was binned along with a dusty rag from the rag bag.
Mid morning a union thing landed so I have started that but it might take a while..
The kitchen bin and kitchen recycling were emptied and the lr bin and lr recycling
Late afternoon OH texted to ask for a lift. On Saturday while parked at the pupils house at the end of the lesson the pupils sister reversed into them. Luckily the pupil has a mate who is also a former pupil who now runs a garage so he was called to the scene and said he would sort it asap. It will need a new bumper and wing and he wanted it dropped off to start work first thing tomorrow. So I chauffeured OH from the garage back to OH's house and I await the text to do the reverse journey 😂. Nobody was hurt but apparently there is a lot of banter with the pupil saying he is going to claim from his sister for whiplash and the whole clan saying it was obvious she hadn't learned to drive with OH 😂. All the lads and their mates have been taught by OH 😂.
After tea I just watched the footy 😂
@Mrs SD yes the Uruguay / cabo Verde game was exciting. Cabo Verde currently are my favourite team after Scotland 😁.
Right time for bed, hugs to anybody who would like one
Adding 6 to my numbers so 898/2026
Take care everyone

Catching Up on the thread to hopefully motivate me as unsure where to start. Best now while still quite cool. There is lots of cleaning , tidying and decluttering but none will make things magically better which is what I need ! Clearly not doing anything won't make anything better so habe to accept elbow grease and some get up and go needs to be found!

Morning - I was woken up at 4.30 am by thunder and it was still going at 7.30. We have had lots of rain.
J is here - he comes in and gets straight to work. He is upstairs with my radio on - don't ask me what the music is - it's awful but he likes it. Small price to pay for his hard work in my house.
Depending on when J finishes - I may go into town with donations for the charity shop. I need to buy stamps and post a Birthday card. I also need to buy milk.
I need to check all my bank and credit card records to see what I have paid to the carpet shop as it is 4 months since I went in there.
At the moment it is very cloudy here but the sun is starting to break through.

Tuesday is dull & overcast but dry. (Forgot to mention that our bathroom is a wet room - first one ever). Restless night again as I was up 01:25, 02:50, 05:10, 07:00 & finally 08:15 when I got dressed whilst DH was packing the bag. Went down to breakfast at 08:45. Buffet breakfast so I had a rasher of bacon, a spoonful of baked beans & some scrambled egg followed by a slice of toast & marmalade. DH had a full plate 😉 + we both had juice & cappuccinos. Today we are heading to the Scottish Borders.
I hope everyone is being careful during the heatwave 🙏 See you later 👋MrsSD Awards: 💐 🙏💐💐🌟⭐️❤️💐💐⭐️💐❤️ ⭐️🎖️🥇⭐️⭐️

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger all those photos are making me feel quite hungry!
Almost filled another charity bag today with bits lying around for the magic fairy to deal with - all other people's stuff. I would love to have a big decluttering session today, but am floundering a bit as not sure where to look to find things. Hopefully I will get some inspiration later.
I am camping out in a single room at home today where we have an air con unit. It'll move upstairs later and the kids are excited to sleep in the same room with it!

Yorkie1 - I have no idea about that but in not very MSE style I do have a credit card for emergencies. Plan is when mortgage is paid to build a good emergecy fund then get rid of credit cards. My mums like that and has been for years. She's 71 and drives me mad at times.
florianatwobob - Amazing! Was the ceremony fun?
dND - Nooooooo hope you find the secatuers.
Mrs_Salad_Dodger - Fab news about the upgrade, always a nice surprise when that happens.
Moorviews - Me and my sister were just saying the other day we need to learn how to alter clothes, my niece is in between sizes so would save us money if we learn. Will have a look and see if we can find any local places to teach us.
Florenceem - My flat is the the same, well at least in the back rooms anyway - it's stifling.
BlueJ94 - Yay to the sales!Morning all,
Been AWOL over the weekend, absolutely dying with hayfever. I am miserable. Will call the chemist and see if they can give me anything stronger.
It's so hot today! Will have to cancel some dog walks which means less money for me this week but would rather have healthy dogs.16 -
I am dying with hay-fever too. I have never known it this bad and I am on the strongest tablets.

is that good? then again I'm not much of a morning person. With the heat last night I couldn't sleep and was drifting off about 4 am and then at 4:01 a blackbird started shouting at the world right outside the bedroom window. Toss, turn. About 5 I went downstairs, opened most the windows/doors and fell asleep on the sofa.
I've done my shopping, got stuff printed at the library (overheated!!) and am now trying to cool down a bit before I have a shower in prep for the chiropodist who is expected in about an hour.
