Very impressed with myself as I spent the hour after I posted going through those piles of paper. Two piles each over a foot high and 75 % has gone into the recycling. Found a small bundle which were nothing to do with Family History - mostly stories I wrote when I was in my fiction writing phase about 25 years ago. A few published and letters to go with them. I suspect I have them elsewhere but will check at a later date. I wondered where they were. There is a 4 to 5 inch pile of family history related stuff left much of it handwritten from days before internet and some downloaded things which I have probably already attached to relevant person on line. I can keep these on the desk and work through a few at a time then I think most of the paper versions will go. There are letters (real ones from before email!) which I think I will scan and attach to relevant computer record. I have some older original letters of historical interest kept elsewhere. I think I aim to have one shelf in living room bookcase with summaries of the closest family - I am making readable illustrated booklets for each of my eight great grandparents and their ancestors. I may also do a separate booklet of our links back to some more illustrious ancestors. Everything else can be on the computer. I have all my family history docs and research downloaded into personal catalogued folders so later family can access them with no need to belong to any of the family history sites.

562-3 Two large piles of papers sorted through and mostly recycled.

On way to DB to go through more family things. Cardigan, belt and fancy gloves from yesterday's work with dd1 in a new cs bag, wearing a pair of trees dd1 said should go, and agree ao will go in laundry basket and then off another time. Some pens for writing on glass and craft items in a bag for donation to local group .

    Counting as 10

About to tackle the garden again today. The ironing pile has already been decluttered however DSis has started the washing already so the decluttering won’t last long.

Bit grumpy with Ebay. I have a few things on and it said my prices were too high. It also said i needed to put more details in as well. So i went in to change all the stuff and it didn’t save the changes so i did it again and then again before it made the changes. Its seems to be getting smarter but not helpfully. It also changed some of my furniture to Simple Delivery. Now that would be fun.

But on a brighter note on the front page there is a section where you can relist items you have previously bought. I looked through and there are several things i have bought and not loved so i am going to relist them when i get home.

Our first dry day for about a week so a friend and I popped along to see some classic cars. I only went as I love minis. My Mum always had them and I love the older shaped ones.

Sadly there were none but just as we were saying goodbye to each other I heard a familiar sounding roar and a mini zipped past. My friend laughed as I dashed down the road after it.

Despite searching it was nowhere to be found so took a short cut home and there it was snuck into a corner. They're very good at hiding. 😉

Three shoeboxes now completed and hopefully fourth tonight, I will have to patch up cardboard box that cardboard mad cat attacked.

Haven’t been around as I had to go back into hospital for a procedure secondary to my main disability, moving about but sleeping a lot.

DD has been over and busy as I want to get things decluttered but I physically cannot do it at the minute. However

    6 items sold on V

1 bag of plastics taken to the local supermarket collection point

Forgot to mention previously, a nice toiletry bag I bought for a friend-binned after a lot of claw marks from cardboard mad cat 🙄

    95+ 8 = 103 items decluttered.

DD has also been piling up some items to go to the shoebox appeal with the shoeboxes.
@Vulpix I read about the lap blanket, any blankets will be very much received 🙂as a lot of items are still going out to Ukraine.

    Yesterday’s post:

Saturday it rained several times in the early hours & at 07:00 just as I was going to bed - hangs head in shame 😔 ……. It is a dark, dreary damp day with a forecast high of 16°C (feeling 4° colder due to a SSW wind) & a low of 13°C Started raining again 12:50 & has rained on & off all day. DH watched the MotoGP qualifying races & the last of the IofM TT races. DH had ordered some more paint which he went & picked up - he thought it was undercoat but turned out to be specialised ceiling paint 😬 Dinner was hm cottage pie with green beans. Wudupa.

    957 - 958 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled

    959 Kitchen detritus - binned

Lovely to see you Liverpool_Anne 👋 Excellent news that now the kitchen has been gutted, work work will soon start installing your new kitchen 🥳 Sorry to hear about your friend’s son 😔 Hopefully both your friend & her son will get through this with your support & friendship 🥹
