Thank you @greent , it's taken time to be able to really feel that it's taking shape but I now feel I have to get on with the back garden. 🤣
@Florenceem I love the new furniture etc., once all the decorating is done your house will be beautiful.
@florianatwobob That's a stump and a half!! Well done. Isn't it lovely having produce straight from the garden.
@Liverpool_Anne I'm following your kitchen works with great interest. I'm going to have to strip out my old kitchen before long. One long unit is from 1945 and the rest of the self-built units are from the 1970s/1980s.
@Yorkie1 Was the organist the lady with the long plait? I've seen her on Instagram and she seems very engaging.
No money was decluttered at the garden centre as I didn't go. My friend spent a lot of time over the last few days in A & E and undergoing blood tests. 😱 It seems a blood vessel in her leg burst causing swelling and bruising. The first though was a DVT but that's been ruled out hence all the blood tests - she does have a few autoimmune conditions but the doctors have no idea yet as to why it happened.
Argh, I wrote lots more but have managed to lose it!! I was sure I pressed save draft but obviously not. 😭😭
I can't face doing it again tonight so hugs to all who want and love to you all. Dxx

I have finally decluttered the trays of bedding plants into hanging baskets & pots, cosmos into pots and dahlias into the side bed. Garden waste is all in the green bin, plastic waste is neatly stacked for a tip trip tomorrow.

5 bags of stone chippings decluttered into ‘the big bed’ to top up the chippings there. Also decluttered a vast amount of cat poop. The neighbour’s cat seems to think it’s his personal litter tray and he likes to go behind shrubs which makes for nasty surprises.
I’ve hosed down the area to try and irradiate the aroma and as we were cutting back our very prickly mahonia we have placed the cuttings in his favourite pooping locations to prickle his nether regions if he attempts a deposit. Further suggestions for discouraging him though would be greatly received.

i love minis as well. My first one was a very shabby club man in a dodgy mustard yellow. I can’t even remember what happened to it.
My second was a 1968 one in a dark reddy brown. I stalled it and the engine fell out. I drove it with the engine stuck half in half out for quite a while. I seem to remember only a couple of gears worked. The windscreen wipers would only work in one direction so had to be manually pulled the other way with a bit of string. The distributor cap wasn’t in the least bit waterproof so if you went through a puddle, it would konk out, you had to get out open the engine and dry the inside the distributor cap. The passenger footwell let water in so you had to get the passenger to lift up their feet in the rain. It had sliding windows and the dipped headlight button was on the floor. I sold it for £50.
My third one was a yellow cooper. I loved it. Sadly the BMW exhaust system killed it in the end.
Now i have a Countryman money pit. It costs more money than the vets and i have 10 pets. The garage are thinking of charging me rent.
We have come home to two wardrobes blocking access to the garage from my step sons move. We are going to take them to the homeless charity on Tuesday so hopefully we can get back in then.

I was searching for something in the garage and found an unopened tub of Hero's - yummy.
I still haven't put any more weight on than the 1 lb a few weeks ago.
I am going to ask J if he can manage to paint the ceiling over the stairs with his extendable roller.
J needs to put another coat of white paint on the lounge wardrobe door knobs then that room is done apart from the blind which is being fitted on Wednesday.

Goodness me you’ve all been busy. I Don’t do much on a Sunday.
I put a post on the book of faces last night re one side of my family and I’ve got another new cousin already! I too, have a Stash of paper and written info which needs proper organisation- it’s on my “To Do” list as are a lot of other jobs!
DH asked me to sew his cardigan zip permanently shut. He wears it as a jumper, never has the zip undone and now the zip has broken so, economically, it’s a win.
DH ate totally from freezer today, I had toast.
Been a peaceful day, for which I am grateful.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

@Green_hopeful that 1968 mini of yours sounds as though it had real character (!!)
@Yorkie1 Was the organist the lady with the long plait? I've seen her on Instagram and she seems very engaging.
@dND yes indeed, Anna Lapwood. She is quite active on Instagram I believe; I don't have that, but she is still on Facebook too.
I thought we had had a decent amount of rain in the last 48 hours or so. But no, the ground is ever harder. Must water bedding plants at the back before it gets dark.. Managed to do a couple of hours' at the allotment this afternoon. Leeks are planted out, a bit more weeding, tomatoes in their final places and stakes in the greenhouse (the staging on that side is collapsible).
Have just watched the F1 highlights from Monaco. Exciting race.

@Green_hopeful love the story of your minis!
Brought back a small curated selection from the sorting of parents things at my brothers. We have a bag for textile recyling , box for cs of crockery and glassware and some things for the tip. We found boxes of family history stuff which we'll go through another time. At least grouped old cameras and binoculars together and identified some, ww1 and ww2 and another made in USSR. There is some more stuff I will take but then what it replaces will be passed on.

I'm another proper Mini fan - the 1st ex-husband and I bought a 2 yo dark red Mini HL shortly after we married in 1984, it had 15k miles when bought and we scrapped it at 110k miles in 1997
