Definately in for 2026, though might be more for my Ma’s benefit in the first few months.. She’s expressed an interest in rehoming things & we (family) are all for it! 

We know there is 1000+ balls of wool within the walls of her very small bungalow, not to mention a mountain of puzzles, books, clothes and everything else between 😮

We’d like her to feel warm and cosy, not suffocated by her things! 

Growing up with very little and not being settled/secure till her late 50’s means she really did/does hang on to things for “Justin”.. 🫣
I do know that the groups enthusiasm and wonderful support will assist me to pass on encouragement and that’ll help her clear what needs to go.. 💗

I’ll still be in 2025 till then.. 👋🏼 See you soooon 🥳

@MadamMim2013 do the pull test on the wool, if it parts with a sharp pull then the wool needs throwing away as it will not knit up well, we had to get rid of 6 bin bags of wool when my gran died, she saved every last scrap of it going back to the 70's.

A lot of it is in vacuum packed storage bags, not sure if that’ll make a difference to any of it or not? 🤔 
Yet I can at least test the stuff that was my grandma’s with an idea of what to look for! 🙂

I need to join this! We moved house 2 weeks ago and I honestly feel total despair at the amount of STUFF I still have to unpack but can't find a space for! So my 2026 focus will be on physical clutter and creating a peaceful environment. 

I'll stow away in the Baggage Car for now but will try and edge my way towards the Buffet as the year goes on.

We have managed to declutter 2161 items so far this year, but still have a cluttered house, so are aiming for 2026 in 2026, and also cutting back on things coming in to the house.

I'm in again please Mrs SD I slipped after my op so no excuses next year.  I've some house related frogs I need to get organised for 2026 and want a tidy house when I have work men in to make a mess!!!

Thank you Mrs SD for setting up a new and shiny thread for 2026, I’m looking forward to spending the year with all the fabulous declutterarti again!

2025 has been a really challenging year with a house move, illness and bereavement. I also started a new job in November. So I hope to have year to focus on getting settled and getting rid of all the things we don’t need to have a calm and smooth running house. I’d also like to declutter as many frogs as possible as I am woefully behind on some really important bits of admin. We didn’t declutter as much debt as hoped either, so I’d like to make a big dent in that too.

We need to get the front extension built, so that we can move the office out of the dining room, the dining room out of the front room and have space for DH and I and the children to relax.

School can be very chaotic for my neurodivergent DC’s and I’d like to create a calm, ordered sanctuary for them at home, so they can decompress from their days and keep them off their screens as much as possible.

So, I’d like to set my target at 208 bags for the year, I think this is quite ambitions as it’s 4 bags a week but we still have a 40 foot container to empty post house move as we don’t have space for more than a quarter of it, in the new smaller house.

I also have to sort out my Mum’s stuff and help my Dad declutter their house. There is lots that needs to go, so I’d like to set another target of 52 bags from there. I’ll account for them separately, unless it becomes too much of a pain to do so.

Jumping aboard for 2026.
Aiming for 2026 physical and digital declutters.
Also some major frogs which I will report if eaten or nibbled but not count.

Hope to declutter some  not so good routines and make space for good routines to support health and wellbeing ( and easier cleaning ) and allow space for better living and being in the present.

Please count me in again for 2026 physical items and 20,000 digital (this will include personal and work stuff but will encourage me to review and cull things).

I will be setting myself mini challenges to use up toiletries, reduce the no of clothes I buy (this will be hard but have Cc debt to clear) and sell things. 

Looking forward to a fresh start for 2026.
