Morning all.
I took an extra 10 mg tablet last night - hoping to stop the awful pain. It worked - a pain free night. I will tell the Dr what I did. I remember a different Dr telling me that you can take up to 90 mg which at the time - I thought no way as I was taking 20 mg per night. Very drowsy this morning - got up late.
I plan another day at home - hoping it will help my weight gain.
I bought a pack of pork & apple sausages - XXL offer at Lid. - I will cook them all tonight - have some for dinner and freeze the rest.
Today is my eldest daughter's Birthday - she is 57.
Going to sew up the knitted fingerless gloves - they are age 8 - 12 years - I should have asked M to try the completed one the other day as she is 11.

It's nice to hear you talk about your family Florenceem, I am glad they are supporting you.
Yes I think all builders are called John unless it's Dave! Or Their last name with y on the end,eg Smithy, Jonesy etc.
I did a very brave thing yesterday. I sent all the spare curtain fabric with Mr V to the recycling at the tip. Previously I would have kept it for Justin and eventually made cushions. I don't even use cushions!

Morning Peeps
well yesterday I managed to declutter the back of my car of a bin bag of stuff, a box and 2 loose items to the CS after the parking monitor man rapping on my window saying you can't park there! and a lovely passer-by saying there was a space further down 😊 A large bag of plastic to Morries for recycling a small £15 shop in there for items we only purchase on a monthly basis.
Today I decluttered a curtain that had been used in front of our bedroom door to help with keeping dust out. It was a striped one made of a cotton type material and had the header for the wire which would cover your front door back in the days to save the paint blistering. It fetched back memories of these fluttering in the breeze but when doing my evening paper round they were either a god send as the door behind was open or if it was closed I had to wrestle with it to get into the slim letter box especially those where the long door knocker was over the opening.
Enjoy the sunshine if it manages to get through mucky clouds

vulpix - When I was moving stuff last week - I found some gorgeous fabric that I bought to make cushions. I will use it to make cushions for my craft sofa and in the lounge.
J has just been here to drop off the paint he collected.
I completed a glove - took me half an hour to sew it up. I enjoy sewing as much as the knitting part. I have made a mistake but go by this -
The idea that Amish quilters purposely make a mistake in their quilts is a popular belief, often attributed to the idea that only God is perfect and to create a perfect item would be an act of pride.

Wednesday is another bright sunny day with clear blue skies at the front of the house & clouds at the back. Forecast high of 17°C (feeling 3° colder due to a brisk ENE wind) & a low of 9°C. DSis has already been to the doctors this morning.
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Just had a small slice of the orange cake 🍰 it is delicious 😋
Moorviews, I agree with you that the U.K. is beautiful 🤩 Now that there are so many security checks to fly anywhere even to Europe, I think many people will be sticking to the U.K. in future. Lovely cheerleading 😊
Florenceem, definitely time to see the doctor about the pain 🙏 I am pleased to hear that you are planning another quiet day at home 🥹 Happy Birthday to your eldest daughter 🎂🥳
vulpix,I had forgotten about the ‘y’ rending on builders names 🙊 Wow, I am very impressed that the remainder of the curtain fabric is gone 🤩 that merits a medal 🏅

A good morning for me today. A complete tall cupboard and cupboard above tidy. It was kind of a dumping cupboard with cleaning stuff. Craft, decorating, carwash stuff, umbrellas bags for life and grandchildren a art work.etc. anyway I have done a thorough clear out with craft stuff ready for craft shed, decorating going down to DHs shed, cleaning stuff sorted into one half shelf. Bags for life ( which have been driving me mad for some time) now have a shelf where they will tidily stay! The art work will be carefully sorted and the ones I want to keep will be put in with photos.( I loved finding bits my children had written or drawn in my Mum and Dad's house when they had passed away). And the icing on the cake is that DHs bowls and rather large trolley now fit into the cupboard and are no longer on show in the house.iys been a good day.
In other news we have a burst water pipe at the bottom of the road so no water today. All of my cleaning has been done with household wipes. It makes you realise how much we rely on having water on tap.
Edit :-This afternoon I have cleared spare bedroom of a mountain of large cardboard box and packing, broken it down and put it out for recycling. The polystyrene has gone into main bin and the fine white sheet stuff has been kept for protecting gifts before wrapping. This has saved us a tip run tomorrow . With petrol going up so rapidly I am trying to limit travel to fun and absolute necessity. 🙂

Completely off topic but this is my kitchen windowsill at the moment. Remember the tomato plant that wouldn't give up until it did? My pelargoniums are at it now.
Editing to add that my father was a plasterer for years (he's retired now, if someone who still takes on painting jobs can be called retired). Not Dave but Del.

Wednesday continued: the wind has picked up so now feeling 5° colder. I went out to bank a couple of cheques (PB winnings) & also get some Euros. Then popped into M&S to pick up something for dinner. I was out for just over an hour. I finally finished knitting the scarf. Dinner was chicken fried in a little oil, boiled new potatoes, tender-stem broccoli & sliced runner beans. Wudupa.

Thank you for my medal Mrs SD.
We went shopping for plants yesterday for the front garden. We got some money off in B&Q for havig their card. I didn't know there were any benefits to having one. Also bought a ball catch and lock for the downstairs loo door. Because…
J's joiner is coming this morning to fit above items, plane 2 sticky doors upstairs and fix a sunken floorboard on the landing.
J tells me he is also doing the back garden whilst he is here this visit. Good job I just decided what I want the other day. I need to make a start and knock down a brick barbecue, possibly later after the charity shop. Mr V is going to Nottingham to the football. Couldn't sleep again last night for thinking of what needs doing before J gets in the back with his digger.Barbecue, coal bunker, 2 sheds to empty and move. Coal bunker is full too.
