@florianatwobob amazing, I didn't know they could come up so well.
@vulpix , sorry i keep forgetting to let you know two friends have been pleased with their knee ops!
@Yorkie1 luckily pension wise I've always worked in the public sector but it does take longer to get full state pension contributions... I have stressed to dd1 about pensions and while she can't see the point she has joined but a shock with it/ student loan and taxes at first for her.
Happy Kitties, lovely to see you back and hope you're making a good recovery and getting as much help as possible.
Mrs SD you're right my little tram expanded a couple of years ago and hoping they transfer but we are one little cog in a national cull :(
Created lots of paper mess but submitted a stage for mega frog tonight and just telling myself I will have time to clear up soon enough 😀

Evening all xxx
WOW loads of decluttering going on and great chat about door key safes. I have one hidden inside my porch along with a mini camera with a wide angled focus which covers right from the front gate through to the inside of the porch - Also handy if you're expecting a delivery 😂. A trusted long term neighbour has the combination to my keysafe as you never know when there might be an emergency. @ daisy_1571 - LOL @ trying different combinations for keysafes starting with 00001 😂😂🤣🤣.
@suzeesu2000 - Sincere condolences & will be thinking of you tomorrow (((BIG HUGS))). In my thoughts and prayers xxx
@Florenceem - So glad to hear you had a better night and it was virtually pain free 🤗
@Happy_Kitties - So very sorry to hear about your Sepsis attack & so very glad and relieved that you pulled through xxxx
Usual HH deluttering stuff done & 3 appointments all decluttered. Babyface had some excellent blood test results, so her medication is being reduced by a further 50%, but I'll have to monitor her at all times; so what's new - Horray! Hoping that after another month, all being well after another blood test, she can be weened off slowly & completely. She's more her usual curious & loving self today and seems to far more alert with her surroundings, although still unsure at times. No cat chasing around the back garden this evening 😂. I missed the noise of her springing ramps, but she's very tired after her appointment. It's a total rest day tomorrow for us both as we're dead on our legs 🙄 and I'm going to have to have a Morphy night as my pain has unfortunately gone well beyond feeling nauseous to the physically sick point. Liquid taken, water drunk, collar & backbrace back on after a shower; which reminds me of the torture rack in the Tower of London and certainly feels like it!Now having a lovely mug of coffee before I crawl into bed and at least sleep through the night. As it's going to be rainy & cooler tomorrow, nothing garden wise has been planned; except one small job if I can muster up the energy, and best of all, no appointments - Thank goodness 😂
Got to go to bed as I'm falling asleep. Ta-ta for now & take care all xxxx

Suseesu, I am so sorry to hear about your brother. xxx I am sure you have done your Mum proud for tomorrow.xxx
Goodness happy Kitties, I had noticed your absence but imagined you were off gadding. I hope you will soon be in fine fettle xx
Thank you Chievely, I will do that. It hadn't occurred to me that there would be such a thing.
Thank you TC, I expect a long wait until I work my way up the queue.
Love the glove Florenceem.
Mr V once bought a vintage Jaguar briefcase from a charity shop and accidentally locked it. He sat for 2 days solid and found the combination. He was like a safe breaker in an old film.
Second curtain done. They were so big and heavy. Never again! We will put them up tomorrow. They are the colour of the walls and look much better than what I had up before. I've had Mr V stood there holding them up.🤣
The French doors are nice, a total bargain, although we will have to live with them propped up in the sitting room for goodness knows how long. No matter, they go with the cast iron log burner we are using as a side table.
Vx

@suzeesu2000 - Sending you hugs. Will be thinking of you.
@Happy_Kitties - Sending you hugs also. So glad you are still with us and getting better.
The old combination locks were much easier to get into. My father could feel the changes and one year was able to open all 200 plus lockers at the school where he worked in one day when they had an emergency search. I've only tried what he taught me on a couple of locks with success.

- Daily To Do List - written the night before
- Sort out sleep patterns - initial targets: bed by 03:00, up by 10:30
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc.
- Commence ‘Operation Financial Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
- Plan & Execute ONE Major Project - 2026 New Bathroom
- Target 2026 items out
Monday continued: I dealt with today’s mail including updating my accounts. More knitting whilst watching junk TV. Also prepped dinner - cold pork + defrosted a lamb steak for DSis, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes & mashed swede & green beans. DH & I rather enjoyed the mashed swede 😋 The forecast rain is here - a fairly light drizzle & the NE wind has picked up making it feel 2° colder. Just as I finished typing “light drizzle” it has started raining heavily 😞 Wudupa
771 - 772 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
773 - 774 Kitchen detritus, contents of shredder - binned
Lovely to see you Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👋 Excellent digital & physical cluttering worthy of a medal 🏅 which is on its way. A stroke of good fortune that you have found such a useful CS ☺️
Florenceem, crikey that paint is exceedingly expensive 😱 A pity that you can’t get a similar colour with the more reasonably priced paint 😞 Hopefully when builder J returns he will remedy the crack & give your work his undivided attention 🤞 That mitten is gorgeous 😍
Brie, interesting information re cracking the code on a key safe 🤔
Happy_Kitties, oh my goodness - very sorry to hear that you have been so unwell 🥺 I am hoping that you are now at home & recovering well 🙏 Please, please take extra special care of yourself on your road to recovery. Meanwhile very well done on reaching & passing your first decluttering milestone - over a quarter of the way to your neutral decluttering target 👏
Brie, well done to your doctor 🥹
Great idea Chieveley 👏
Happy_Kitties, you have certainly been through the mill 🥺 Please accept many gentle cwtches 🤗🤗 🤗 & please take it very easy 🙏
Florenceem, how lovely that 2 of your daughters phoned 🥹 Sounds like you still have enough crafting supplies to stock a small shopping list 😉
Lovely chatty post Yorkie1 ☺️ Congratulations to York City 🥳 Well done on your efforts to declutter the contents of your freezer 👏
florianatwobob, the bath looks great 😊
Yorkie1, what a lovely friend 🥹
GrannyKate, I still get ticked off that people visiting hospitals get charged for parking 😖
Nice to see you ionafan 👋
Lovely cheerleading TC77 😊 Well done on completing another stage of “mega frog” 👏
Dizzycap, very pleased to hear that Babyface’s blood test results were so good 🥹 What a relief 😮💨 Though I am very sorry to hear that your pain is so bad that you will have to resort to a “Morphy” 🥺
Lovely cheerleading vulpix 😊 Loved This “MrV once bought a vintage Jaguar briefcase from a charity shop and accidentally locked it. He sat for 2 days solid and found the combination. He was like a safe breaker in an old film.” ☺️ although I would go further & say in an old black & white film 🙊 Great work getting the 2nd curtain done 👏 I will try to remember that next time you decide to tackle curtains, I should refer you back to this page 😉
weenancy, thank you for sharing such a lovely memory of your father 🥹
Sleep tight 😴

@Yorkie1 what a lovely friend! I have to say that we’re very fond of our bath and it was our plumber who suggested resurfacing. He gets a bit misty eyed at the thought of soaking in it (and isn’t too keen at the thought of getting it out of our bathroom if we replaced it!!) @TC77 we’re very pleased. The chap that did our work has been doing it for 13 years and the technology has been around for 40 years.

Morning all. It was trying to rain but the sun is out now.
Young J has arrived and is at work in the small ROD. He said why didn't I ask him to paint the house wall - reason was because it is high work on a ladder and he has epilepsy. His mum says no to high work like me.
When the room is decorated I will get J to help me to make the final Ike. unit then I can start to move stuff into there.
Last night I had a visit from DDil T and 3 grandchildren. They were delivering my Ike. purchases as collected them from R when up in London to support runners for T's charity. The girls M and N were showing me the new tap routines they have been taught. Grandson S has joined the same cricket club as his dad.
I am trying to contact the woman who asked for the industrial sewing machine but getting no reply.
Also been unable to get hold of builder J. His ladder is in my back garden so he will turn up sometime. There is a time limit on collection of the paint from Wicke.
I got engrossed in my knitting last night and went to bed at midnight. Got off to sleep okay then woke up at 1 am in pain. I took painkillers and changed my freezer pad twice - I will contact the Dr if this continues. I was getting pain free nights after she increased my medication.
I plan a day indoors - no shopping needed.
I have another fingerless glove to sew up but want to complete number 3 first as I think it is a better match to the first one. R who has just started knitting thought I was using different colour yarns so asked if I was carrying them up the side of my work.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all
thank you for my medal Mrs S_D 😀
On my way home last night, I stopped at the c00p and put all my soft plastics in the recycling bin.
@Happy_Kitties , so sorry to hear of your hospital stay, sounds very scary, sending hugs.
Love Deni
