looking good dND I like the idea of the small wildlife ponds one of my sisters put in two last year (which her puppy is now obsessed with unfortunately). I wanted to do some gardening today but my hands have been stiff and achy for some reason so that's on hold hopefully tomorrow they will be better.
Three items offered on free cycle were collected today 🙂 so some decluttering was done!
Decluttered some money to treat myself to a ticket for A Midsummer Nights Dream at Chichester Festival Theatre in September

Wednesday was a gloriously sunny day but with a rather strong chilly wind. Forecast high of 16°C (-3°due to E wind) & a low of 7°C I slept on the sofa last night as I wanted to make sure I wasn’t late for my appointment + didn’t want to disturb DH. I woke in plenty of time to get ready & left the house at 09:35 arriving at the surgery by 09:45, checked in & was then called in just as I sat down to wait. Nice chat with the pharmacist who gave me a prescription for a year. Went next door to the pharmacy & collected my meds & was waiting at the bus stop by 10:05 …………..ten minutes before my actual appointment time ☺️ Bus to Post Office to buy 20p stamps to make up the cost of international postage. Home by 10:45. DSis was up & about as she had a doctor’s appointment at a different surgery. She was not as fortunate as me - had to wait 30 minutes for her appointment & then the pharmacy didn’t have her meds 😞 she was not a happy bunny when she got home 😱 DH has been suffering today as he rode 400+ miles yesterday - his first long ride of the year so is not yet bike fit 😔 I have spent the afternoon knitting, napping & watching TV + descaled the kettle. Dinner was from the freezer - lo pasta bolognaise for me & bolognaise sauce with freshly cooked pasta for DH & DSis. Wudupa

BlueJ94, excellent news about your vinted & ebay sales 👏 Just wondering if you have any plans for the money 🤔
Great decluttering oceanspirit 👏
Excellent decluttering regnbue 👏 You must have oodles of space now 🤞 What a lovely young lady 💐 Please accept a medal 🏅 for decluttering 3 large pieces of furniture 😊
Florenceem, some time ago DH had his wedding ring enlarged as it was cutting off the blood supply to his finger. However it transpires that at the time the ring was re-sized his finger was still swollen from having shingles 😔 Now he uses a little plastic ‘thingie’ to keep the ring on. Pleased to hear that you had another pain free night 😊 & also pleased that you are planning to have a quiet day 🥹
vulpix, not sure I would recognise my ex as I haven’t seen him in over 40 years 😉 Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for your knee surgery 🙏 & you will be a very good vulpix & do all your exercises 🥹 ready for the other knee to be done 🙏 That is really good news for DD1 ☺️ It is a shame that an individual cannot ‘fine’ HMRC for causing distress & being incompetent 😉 DH bought some iced Bakewell tarts + one for neighbour J as a birthday present. He also bought some meat pies. Pleased to hear that your enthusiasm for writing your book has been reignited 😊 As to your bedroom decoration perhaps you can break up the expanse of grey with stickers or a bit of free hand artwork 😉
corrieflash, not recently but London_1 is always so busy especially since she moved to her beloved Isle of Wight 😉
Brie, I love that story about your mum ☺️ You never know, 2026 might just be the year you & your OH make up for lost time & visit more than one garden 🤞
Excellent work clearing the small RoD Florenceem 👏 Happy Anniversary to your daughter 🥳 🥂 More excellent decluttering 👏
Great work dealing with frogs GrannyKate 👏 The renovation work seems to be going very well 😊 I am very surprised that the old radiators are hanging about - usually items like that disappear within a few hours 🤨
Dizzycap, sounds like Babyface is keeping you very busy as usual ☺️ Sorry to hear that she was a little subdued today 😔 Hope your pain abated & you managed to get bed by 10.30 p.m. as planned 🤞
dND, more excellent work in the garden 👏 You are certainly making the most of the dry weather ☺️ but I do hope you are taking plenty of breaks in between digging sessions 🙏
Great decluttering Green_hopeful 👏
Brambling, hopefully your hands will loosen up & stop aching soon 🤞 pleased to hear that you are managing to declutter more items on freecycle 👏
All caught up so time for bed. Sleep tight 😴

@dND - that’s very impressive work in your garden!
Mrs SD - I am very envious about the Bakewell tarts from Bakewell as it is one of absolute favourites. I hope Mr SD doesn’t suffer too much from the ride.
We have managed a tip run with stuff from the garage and also found a new home for some sports equipment. Otherwise, I have mainly been doing digital decluttering with my email. It looks like I have the same provider as others here. Anyway, thousands have gone and I have unsubscribed from loads of companies. It took many hours of boring work. I have decided that my time is more precious to me than the few pounds off they offer me in countless emails. It is so nice to log in and find a manageable number each day. I shall continue to try and be ruthless.
Sun is out and hopefully that blooming freezing wind has calmed down. Hope you all have a good day 😊8 -
@Brambling Thank you. 😁I know where you're coming from with the aches; in the 'good old days' I would have got it all done in a day. Now it takes as long as it takes depending on hands, back, weather etc.. I've learnt to stop beating myself up about what I don't do and just plod along until I can do what needs to be done. I have plans for a proper wildlife pond at the end of the garden. I'm guessing that's going to take me quite a while. 🤣 I'll have to draught in DS1 sometime when he's not working on his property or at work.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger Thank you. It's a fine line between taking breaks and trying to get as much done as possible when weather and body align. However I usually take a nap after lunch to realign my back and I find that helps a lot. The house in the meantime falls into wrack and ruin until the next couple of rainy days. 🤣
It's a bit of a rest morning today as it's knitting group.@Moorviews Thank you. Well done on the digital decluttering. I do a few competitions so end up signing up, or being signed up for newsletters. I set up a separate email address for that so the important emails are visible in my main account. I also use sorting rules into separate folders - it's the main reason I subscribe to Off1ce is to use 0utl00k, which allows me to manipulate the emails easily.
It was an early start today as I did ache a bit after yesterday so was roused before my usual wake time. I'm now trying to figure out what to do that I can finish before I start my morning's trip out.
Have a great day everyone. Dxx

Morning all.
A pain free night apart from one shooting pain - so random.
I need to get some shopping today. J is at work and I will remind him and his mum to call here on their way home. I have more stuff for school's arts and craft cupboard.
I put 3 storage boxes outside my house yesterday. They weren't taken so I took them back in and took photos - listed on Freegle. I have 3 people asking for them.
When bestie's husband collected the stuff for the charity shop yesterday - he said - you won't have anything left - oh yes I will.

Thursday is another bright & sunny day but with a chilly E wind making it feel colder in the shade. Forecast high is 18°C with a low of 7°C. DH & DSis are going to the antiques centre at Battlesbridge then to sm. I am out again as I have an appointment with the dentist at 14:30, so will head off about 12:30 The postman has just delivered a stack of mail, mostly mine & I have dealt with 2/3rds of it.

Moorviews, MrSD is feeling better today as he has had a soak in the bath 😉 Excellent decluttering especially the digital decluttering 👏 It sounds like you have been ruthless so a medal 🏅 is on its way 😊
Lovely cheerleading post dND 🥹 Hope your pain abated have a great time at knitting group 😊
Florenceem, pleased to hear that apart from the random shooting pain you had another pain free night ☺️ Hopefully the freeglers will turn up promptly 🤞 Your bestie’s husband beat me to it - as I was thinking exactly the same 😉
DH is filling the bird feeders but will be following RSPB advice & taking down the bird feeder stand at the end of the month & not putting it back up until later in the year. I hope everyone has as good a day as possible ☺️ See you later 👋

I have got home now with my shopping. I bought nuts and a fruit & nut selection - lots of calories. I also got salmon and smoked salmon. I prefer fish to meat.
I just opened the expensive chocs that I was given at Easter.
I am determined not to lose any more weight.
Freegler due here at 2.20 to collect the boxes.
I must get a Birthday card ready for my daughter.

Afternoon all.
Still lurking 😊
I have taken my cardboard boxes into the recycling skip at work today, they are huge and never full and my home one isn't!
I have treated myself to a new hoover, so now need to dispose of the old one…I may ask if I can put it in the normal work skip as the waiting time for a tip run is weeks.
The sun is out but I am stuck indoors 🙄

I actually got quite a lot done yesterday!
- 4 loads of washing out and dried
- Cleared back garden of old dog bed, toys, bits of wood, mop and bucket - prob a few more bit
- Tidied kitchen, cleaned all doors
- Tidied living room, new throws on the couch
- Tidied bedroom
- Cleaned the hallway walls, they were so muddy with the dogs! Splashes everywhere.
So well on track for having the place looking all good for a fresh start on Monday.
Will be so much easier to keep on top of it then I can start decluttering properly.
