Lovely photos, @GrannyKate
When I was growing up, our neighbours always fed the cat while we were away. They used to say that they would have known we were about to go away, as the cat would go and sit on their doorstep as soon as he saw the suitcases coming out! We also had a Shetland Sheepdog (think mini-Lassie), who did go to kennels. On more than one occasion he had laryngitis when we picked him up, from having barked too much!
I hadn't heard about the Japanese earthquake alert - it seems that they are alo worried about a bigger quake / tsunami perhaps next week. I've been thoroughly enjoying watching Michael Portillo's railway journeys in Japan on BBC2. I hadn't realised it was 15 years since that awful quake which impacted the nuclear reactor. How time passes.

Seven books to the bookswap, seven items of clothing to charity shop (Scope). I did purchase a plant pot and a mattress cover and of course more books, but more out than in, so I feel fairly on top of it. I also started a frog rolling by attending a shared ownership event yesterday - the studio flat I'm renting is comfy and cheap (especially in south London), but I would like something bigger - and if I'm moving I need to make a decision whether to keep on renting or semi-buy somewhere (which will mean staying here a year longer to build up more of a deposit). Pros and cons to both, but I'm feeling much clearer on what is possible and reassured that both are possible, so pleased.

Moooorning! Its only Tuesday and im tired already 🤣 up an hour than normal as im tyring to get into the routine of giving myself enough time to get ready and have enough time to not rush around before getting to work. I start at 7.30 today so won't need to leave the house until 6.50 BUT I do have to pop to the post office and inpost locker before work as ive sold a few items in the last couple of days on vinted/ebay! Im also trying to make sure i actually eat breakfast.. today is just boring cornflakes 😴
All washing is up to date so none needs doing until tomorrow, I was thinking that to make for dinner after work and was thinking of popping to the shops to buy stuff but im going to make my naan bread from yoghurt and flour and ive for frozen chicken that needs using up!

I have been quiet lately and not doing much but decided today to start on the loft. It is one of my big jobs for this year.
I Had boxes of old paperwork in there. Today I sorted through two boxes and at least one and a half of them has been removed.
I made it a mission that every time I go up there, I remove at least one item or sort through one thing. It will take all year, but two boxes today is a start.

Hi everyone
@vulpix I love the cat's Sunday name 'William of Orange' 😍
Lovely photos @GrannyKate , a number of friends have recommended Madeira @Floss .
I'm keeping up with digital decluttering and finally got round to rearranging some stuff in the small bedroom so I have set up my home office at last! I contacted a charity about taking some small items of furniture/soft furnishings and they will take most but not the breakfast bar stool as it doesn't have a fire certificate. Hoping to drop off the stuff within a week or so …
Love to everyone
Deni

Ended up with a really bad migraine yesterday, gone now thankfully!
Been a little more productive today. Had some laptop issues this morning and sat back and switched on YouTube but then thought no no no! So instead of watching a podcast I went in and swept, polished, hoovered then changed my bedding. Bedroom is looking lovely and clean now.
I'll get the kitchen and dining room sorted before bed tonight then tackle the living room and bathroom tomorrow.
I'm off work tomorrow and planning to not leave the house.

Oops forgot to post yesterday 😦
Monday was an overcast, dull day with a high of 13°C (feeling 4°colder due to an ENE wind) & a low of 5°C DH & DSis spent about 1.5 hrs oiling the garden furniture - 2nd coat on the 2nd chair & first coat on the table. Way too cold to start working on the bench 🥶 Dinner was roasted pork steaks & tomatoes, mash & green beans. Wudupa. DSis & I watched a rather sad film called The Last Rifleman.

@ florianatwobob - I had to chuckle about you moving the Honeysuckle. Birty the bully pigeon has taken it upon himself to pick at all the leaves on one of mine for nesting. I have 4 Honeysuckles on one arch all together in the middle of the back garden and he's a monster every year 😂. Babyface absolutely hates him and tells him where to go when he's in the garden 😂.
Decluttering wise I've done all the usual HH decluttering basics and just loaded the washing machine ready to put on later and peg out on the line overnight. babyface had her usual morning sun session, buttons up snoring and grunting away on her swing chair 😂🤣. I now have to sit on a seperate chair becuse she really stretches out and ends up kicking me - Minks 😋🤣. We've just come back from a potter walk with doggie buggy which she's using 50% of the time at the moment. I've cut down her food intake by 30% but after 2 days her gums started to go very pale pink and started to show signs of being a little confused at times, so she's had to have small portions of iron boost homemade snack/dinners every 2 hours today and her gums have returned back to natural pink colour - phew! Tablets at 7pm and I'll give her some knockout pain medication so she'll rest 🤗😘.
As if that isn't enough, my mother turned up out of the blue this afternoon and said she wasn't feeling well and could she stay and I look after her? You are kidding, right? No, was the answer as it's very clear that the house is decked out like an animal hospital, but she's welcome to stay and I'm doing what I can, when I can. Just off to make a little dinner for us before babyface needs attention xxx Coffee now finished and I'm off to do some dinner for us xx
Take care & love to all xxxxx Toodle-pipsky for now xx
EDIT: Dinner done and mum didn't fancy it, so it's in the fridge if she wants it. Just made her a cup of tea and she's decided to go and hunt for something to eat 😮🤐. Obviously, she's not that sick 😉😂🤣. Sitting here in the office with a large mug of coffee and babyface snoring away in her bed - Peace at last 🤗😋😂.
Will be up early to sort out the pecked honeysukle on the arch 😏water the lillies, and finish off tidying up. My tulips are still going strong and the second set have just blossomed with a 3rd set yet to make an appearance, so we're still on Spring time at the moment. It's plant feeding day tomorrow as it's going to be a lot warmer here, than today - The winds been very chilly, so only garden cleaning and clearing today, which still took me 3 hours. I started at 5am at first light and sat down with a coffee at 8am, although I did have to sort babyface out with breakfast, medication, and a cuddle before she observed me through the window as I was cleaning up - 4 large black bin liners full; no less, waiting for the sun to come round so she could nag me about the swing chair 😂. I'll soon be pottering off to bed as everything is done for the day and the washing is on 🤗😉.
Good night all - wishing everyone a peaceful evening & restful sleep xxxxx
