Morning all. Nothing planned for the weekend and had intended not to get up early. Mr Sox felt 5.30 was a good time and harassed me until I gave in at 6.30. It seems to have taken me all week to recover from my travels - no stamina these days. I plan to do some more wallpaper stripping in outer part of hall now the radiator has gone. There are now 4 radiators outside and I can't believe no-one has taken them. Last time I left one out it disappeared in hours. Yesterday I bought a simple grey blind for Bedroom 3, some curtain hooks (I will now find the bag of them I already had) and a cute capybara plant pot (DGS4 loves them). I went round looking at single beds with not much success so will go back to ordering on line - I have actually seen the one I am ordering in a showroom.

Supposed to go for a covid jab yesterday but they cancelled at the last moment as vaccine didn't arrive. Energy company running one of those schemes where you get a small rebate if you use power at specified times of the day so trying to do things like washing early afternoon. I like to do it early morning to get it outside or at night ready to hang in the morning. Will see how it goes whilst their scheme is on.

After new furniture arrived a fortnight ago we have been storing old furniture in the spare bedroom along with all of the packing. This room has now stopped functioning so I cannot iron, dry my hair or find any craft stuff stored in the wardrobe. It also contains the stuff I have been collecting for a car boot sale! So this room became a frog and I have been ignoring it! Yesterday I discovered that it wasn't going to shift itself so started to clean up the furniture and list for sale. A chest of drawers was snapped up within 2 hours and I am £15.00 better off. This has been put into savings jar ready for DHs 70th birthday in July. Feeling more motivated after putting some effort into it.Next week will be preparing stuff for a car boot sale. Anything listed that hasn't sold by then will be coming with us. I just hope that we can fit it all into our car!

Very good news indeed Willowtree.xx
Dizzycap, I am not one of those souls who can shrug off lack of sleep. I slept 10 hours last night with just one wake up for pain meds. The other week I foolishly took morph based tablets, knowing full well I am allergic. It did ease the pain but how stupid was that?I will not test again to see if I still can't take them!🤦♀️
Soontobeoap, good luck at the car boot sale.I used to do a couple a year when I had kids at home. It has served us very well over the years, selling and buying. Most of our stuff was secondhand, including Christmas and Birthday presents. I couldn't get enough stuff together these days for a stall. I asked my daughter if she wanted to share a stall. She says she doesn't have any stuff. hahaha she has believe me.
To go today, the new blind we put up in our bedroom. It is one of those no drill ones and it just doesn't work with our wonky walls. It would be perfectly fine if you had square walls. We keep pulling it down when using it. We have already bought a new blind that you screw the brackets to the wall. I would like to get this done today.
I spent last evening messing about with the new curtains for our bedroom. I am cutting off the ring tops and adding tape. Sounds simple enough. 1. they are my nemesis, velvet and 2. they are massive and thermal lined making them very thick. I could do with your new machine here Florenceem. Still they were still in the packaging and would have cost a fortune so worth it to me to alter them. I am time rich.
Mr V went and dug up 3 big ferns from my friends garden for me. Making a new garden will take a huge amount of plants. If I am up to it later I will try to get in the back garden and cut stuff back and fill the garden waste bin. At the moment it is still free to be emptied. We also need to move all the pots currently at the front of the house as my builder starts Monday.
Tomorrow we are on a bit of a road trip. I have bought some Crittal a like french doors. These will be between the sitting and dining room eventually. More doors to stack up in the dining room!
Right! I'm gonna knock spots off! Vx
