Morning all.
Mrs SD - great that hubby found his wedding ring. Has he lost weight for it to slip off? I am surprised that my wedding ring doesn't come off with my weight loss.
Still in my pjs. Decided to leave shopping until tomorrow as Lid. are having an XXL promotion.
Will pop to a friend this afternoon to collect some stuff she has for me.
Had another pain free night.
I will go out to the front of the house - after I get dressed - to remove masking tape. There may be a bit of cleaning off of paint on the pvc window surround.
Sunny day but we have the chilly north east wind which keeps temperatures down.
Hope everyone has a good and productive day.

Hi, iv'e had no decluttering to tell you about but I have been on the go. Went to B&Q the other day for more undercoat. £19 ,yes £19 for a small tin of paint. Bumped into a very old friend and her husband whilst we were there. Whilst we were chatting my ex husband joined us. He is waiting to have his knee replaced, perhaps we will be in hospital together! Not seen any of these people for about 5 years. My female friend always suggests a meet up and I always say when, but she never comes up with the goods.🤣 I have finally realised it will never happen.
I have now been referred to a surgeon for knee replacement. Apparently my left knee is worse but my right knee is the most painful. Something has shifted and is trapping a nerve which shoots pain up and down my leg. I am a coward with surgery but I have finally realised if there is a solution to constant pain I need to take it. My knees will only ever get worse so it's Hobson's choice. Has anyone here had a knee done? I spend a lot of my time sat on the floor. I worry that I won't be able to kneel or sit cross legged anymore. Not that my right knee is having any of that atm.
Great news for DD1, her primary job has secured funding to give her more hours and the other job which is being dissolved has given her 1 day a week doing the part of her current job she loves. Win win. She just needs to convince HMRC that she isn't a master defrauding criminal and all will be good. She has been in an eternal loop for months. Try to change details online, online says you need to phone HMRC. Phone line says do this online ad infinitum. She has finally spoken to a person and now they want to fine her for not telling them new information!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Peak District National Park was 75 years old last week. Great foresight all those years ago. It is a victim of it's success as the most visited national park in the country but gives a lot of pleasure to a lot of people.
I hope you got a Bakewell pudding the other day Mrs SD. What a relief Mr SD's ring was found.
I get a lot of motorbikes past my new house on a weekend. Some large clubs on a run I think. We are on a nice loop of great roads for motor bikes. Plus push bikes! The tour de France Femmes is passing through next year.
Florenceem, I am sorry you have been on the receiving end of clumsy conversations. They obviously don't know you as well as they thought and just put their foot in it at every attempt to support you.xxx
The women came and dug up the raspberry canes yesterday.
We are off to Nottingham shortly. I am at the dentist, then on to visit DD2. I shall take my note book and interrogate Mr V about things for the book on the 3 hour drive.
I am buying some 2nd hand curtains for our bedroom, I am still not completely happy with it. Dark green velvet curtains may be the solution. TBH I think it's actually a full wall of grey floor to ceiling wardrobes that is the problem!😂

Has anyone heard from @London_1 aka Jackie O, not seen anything from her for ages. Hope she is ok

@Dizzycap - I've always said that if it ain't one thing it's your mother. Have I mentioned the time my mom rang me to ask me to take her to a doctor's appointment? Had to remind her that as she was living in Canada it wasn't really convenient.
@vulpix - I've had my right knee done several years back and my left on the way to that eventually. Not sure what happened with the first op but the right knee still hurts more than the left. And I can't kneel on either but wasn't able to for at least a decade before the first op. One thing I did learn too late was to make sure you take Vit D as it helps repair the nerve damage done with all the cutting. So it's either that or not doing enough of the exercises I was assigned that has kept me from healing as well as I should have.
Meanwhile - I thought I was doing well in chucking out the Gardeners World discount garden visit book that expired the beginning of the month. But it's ended up being 1 out and another in as I bought this year's book with strict instructions to OH that we MUST do some visits to gardens as it would up our foot count, which we both truly need. I might have said something similar every April for the last 10 years I've been getting this book. No prizes for guessing how often the book has actually been used….. Oh well at least it gave me and him something fun to chat about over breakfast. Usually we go through the Radio Times together but the post here is so bad we are still waiting on the issue for the week starting last Saturday. Not that the TV is working well enough for us to actual watch things as programmed. Sigh.

vulpix - I too paid £19 the other day for a pot of paint to do my front gates.
I have carried on with the sorting of the small ROD. Found some Santa sweets that were best before last year - there are over 500 calories in the packet - they certainly taste okay.
Bestie was running late so she sent hubby to collect the stuff for the charity shop. My hall looks a lot better.
I walked to a friend's house - she invited me in and we had a chat - known her for 65 years.
I took my folding steps outside and removed the masking tape that was by the window. I had some paint to scrape off the pvc. I then got a pack of wipes and cleaned the windowsill and porch door.
Not a lot of stuff left to sort now in the ROD. I have found more bits for daughter's school - it is her 20th wedding anniversary today.
Decluttered - cruet set, bauble, 5 storage crates, animal pictures, jar of soaps, pack of ladies hankies, sewing pattern, chenille sticks, pkt of typing paper, scout book, Christmas socks, boxes of crewel wool skeins, gift bag, shower jel, plastic bag x 3, paper, labels,

@vulpix - I have had both knees replaced. No, I can't sit cross-legged on the floor or the bed any more. And I can't kneel either. But the knee pain is gone. Until the back started going I was walking just fine. To me the operations were well worth it. Just be sure to do all of the therapy you can get.

Still trying to catch up on sleep. I have dealt with some frogs although there are a few more including car insurance. Sis in law was offered a cancellation last Friday at 2 days notice for her knee replacement but she took fright at so little notice - hope she will take the next date offered. My mother had both knees done in her 80s with great results. Plumber came and fitted new radiator for bedroom 3 and removed the one in the outer hall. There were two layers of wallpaper on top of each other behind the radiator as well as several coats of paint - I need to get the area cleared and then I will get builders back to do the hall plaster. There are now 4 radiators outside and I am hoping they go soon. Waiting on joiner to take some off bedroom door. I managed to get my hair done this morning. DS2 back to work tomorrow.

OMG! That really did make me laugh @Brie 😂😂. I would love to, but my flights been severaly delayed 🤗🙃😁🤣.
Another crazy day here and I really didn't want to get up but had to to get babyface sorted xxx She's a little off and distant again today, so keeping a close eye on her. Just given her some pain medication, so hoping a good nights sleep will sort her out xxxx She's not been so active or interested in things today not even the swing chair for morning sun this morning 😥, although I did give her a quick shower this morning when she asked, which she seemed to enjoy, but not so much the cream I gently put on her under carriage 😕. The rash is gone, but I just want to make sure that no complications happen 😉.
Decluttering wise: The usual HH basics and batch cooked babyface's food. Garden tidied, lawn watered & fed, plants watered and fed, dying half size firn tree in pot removed and a new miniature tree presently stilling in a lovely bucket of water ready to be planted up tomorrow morning. Roses fed, watered, and sprayed and so the list goes on 😂. HH bins decluttered this evening and one large black bin liner out in the HH wheelie bin. I managed to throw together some dinner which my mother did eat today 🙃😲 - She seems absolutely fine to me, just uninvitingly cluttering up my space 😂.
I seem to be so busy that I'm having problems remembering what day it is 😕. It actually doesn't feel like any day of the week, so it's not that I'm behind or ahead in days, just sort of in limbo 😂🤣 - Definately 'old age'
beginning to set insetting in 😜. I think it's going to be an evening of finances, not that I've got much to do other than go through a couple of bank statements, check 3 letters, and make sure everything is correct and counted with my monthly buget😉🤗. Time to get a very large mug of coffee and get going as I would like to be in bed by 10.30pm at the latest tonight, although I think my present pain level will cause me some distirbed sleep 😣😫.Wishing everyone a lovely peceful eveing and a peacful nights sleep. Sweet dreams to all xxx take care all and toodle-pipsky for now xxxx

I'm so glad Mr SD found his ring. 😁
I'm still here and because of the dry weather a lot of time has been spent decluttering garden weeds. I did manage to get another tip run done. The tip is having it's cardboard baler changed so it was chaos. There were only 3 or 4 parking bays available, the rest being taken up by all the machinery and to leave a suitable safety space. It's apparently going to last for 3 weeks although one of the tip guys said 3 or more like 5 weeks. I'm not sure when I'll do my next run as while I managed to drive straight in, when I left they were queuing down the road.
Garden waste collection is Friday and I've managed 5 bags so far.
You remember the area by the camellia where I was evicting weeds, predominately the Spanish bluebells.
It now has 2 mini wildlife ponds installed. I'm currently collecting bricks to create escape routes from them. Because of the slope of the garden, I'm thinking of using large pebbles to disguise the fronts of the ponds. The backs are more of less level with the soil.
I've also started washing all the plant pots I have, lots of which you can see in the catio where they were blown by the wind when it upended the storage unit they were in. There's still so much shuffling round to do in the garden as well as the actual gardening. I also can't believe just how much broken glass I keep digging up. 😱
I managed to get a couple of bags of compost the other day - the last 2 L1dl had so tomorrow morning I'm going to swing by and see if they've had another delivery. 🤞🤞
Apart from that I'm still managing to keep up with most of the HH stuff. I've a small ironing pile accumulating. Once it large enough, or I'm desperate for something in it, I will get the iron and ironing board out but apart from that, the washing is up to date, dried and put away
@vulpix I'm just working my way through the Donnington races at the moment, roughly an hour an a half each night. These days I like to do my viewing in the warm but you miss the feeling of the grid accelerating away.
As @corrieflash says, @London_1 hasn't posted for a while nor @Liverpool_Anne. I do hope they are both fine and just busy.
Bed is loudly calling me so I'll bid you all goodnight.
Hugs to those who want them and love to you all. DxxAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade BudgetDECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN - 2023 🏅4*⭐️ : 2024 🏅💐2*⭐️ : 2025 ⭐⭐⭐🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 : 2026 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 DS: ⭐️DDiL: ⭐️Gino: 🏅

so the furniture and Freecycle stuff keeps going slowly. The buyer finally turned up for the sideboard. It was like the hokey cokey at weekend because they said they were coming and we got it out the garage then they said they weren’t coming so we put it back.
They came in a van on Tuesday night but the van was half full of builders rubbish and they balanced the sideboard on the top of the rubbish. There i was vacuuming out the drawers and giving it a polish. Hey ho.
