I had my lunch and got on with emptying the small ROD.
Then I had a visitor - my helper J's brother - another J - he came to tell me his great news. J has got the international tour of the musical Chicago. He will be performing in Japan first then come home for 3 week's paid - while the set is shipped to the next country - China. After China - he dances in India followed by Dubai and The Philippines. They stay in at least 4 star hotels - Equity rules. He will stay in his delivery job until he goes for rehearsals in London in August. So proud of him.
J took me to TK Max. to buy a table and chairs for my summerhouse. It arrives in May so the table set will live in my craft room until then.
Then my youngest son O and granddaughter M came here to deliver my television screen and bracket. They will put it up on the wall next week. They are busy keeping their house tidy as it is up for sale.
My youngest daughter who is doing the London marathon phoned - M looked through my ribbons for colours of the Guide Dogs For The Blind who she is running for. M's mum is going to the marathon as she works for a charity which has runners in the event.
Lastly my middle daughter and grandson J came to collect the art and craft stuff for school.
Photo of today's buy.

@ dND - WOW! Super work on the garden and just loving the natural wildlife ponds. Super use of those large planter buckets 🤩😋 and think of all the water plant life you could put in them - My imagination's off with the flow and I'm up to moss, water lillies, and solar water pump or mini solar water fountain 😂🤣.
Well done with all the decluttering and organsing folks. It's always such an inspiration to read the posts on this board as you never feel alone with decluttering and it keeps you on your toes when you finally get decluttered. It's very easy to sometimes let 'things' arrive and clutter you up again. Talking of which, one of my neighbours asked if I wanted 2 wooden planters for the back garden. I've got an area where the soil is weak regardless of what I do, it gets around 4-5 hours of morning to midday sun when it's out but it's sheltered so really doesn't get any or much rain - The ground is hard as rock, regardless 😮😥. Anyway, I've got the planters ready to install tomorrow. The gardener's coming to put down tough membrane before covering it with some leftover landscape bark I have; and was wondering where I would be decluttering that, before putting the planters in situ. I also happen to have 4 spare longish planting troughs which I was going to declutter, but 2 fit in perfectly to each of the wooden planters which is very handy 😉, so all I need to do is declutter the leftover compost in them and get planting! Everything has been recycled and decluttered off where it should be; in the garden 😂🤣, rather than the local tip 😕.
I have actually also been decluttering rubbish into the garden & recyling wheelie bins ready for tomorrows decluttering collection - which I put out early this morning after decluttering a small dead pine tree from a large pot and putting in a new baby pine which I dug up out of the back garden in less than a minute and stuck in a large bucket of water to have a good drink and destress for a few hours before replanting😋😍 😂. I've also been pottering about in the garden on and off all day and actually got sun burnt on the back of my arms, even though I wasn't directly in the sun for more than 2 minutes at a time - CRAZY weather. Hot sun with a cool wind makes for easier skin burning 😲😝. Will have to wear a long sleeved shirt from tomorrow - silly me for not thinking. Babyface sussed it and spend all day in the shade - clever girl 😂. She's still a little off base again today but has blood tests on Monday. We went out for a walk this morning with the doggie buggy and she hardly wagged her tail when she saw people, which is very unusal for her as she's enjoys socialising, so the red flags are unfortunately, well and truely up! 😕. I think it's an oxygen issue, inflamation of her middle spine; which I can feel, a mixture of the two, or she's just not been resting enough and a mixture of the other 2. I've decided to knock her out all day tomorrow after she's had a good breakfast, medication, and cuddles and take it from there. If it's oxygen, I'll be able to hear her breathing much better, if she's fast asleep and away with the fairies.
Okay, it's time for a last mug of coffee, put the washing on ready to declutter out on the line early tomorrow, and the off to bed we potter. Take care all and wishing everyone a peaceful evening and restful sleep xxxx ta-ta for now xxxx

Thursday continued: DH drove me to the DLR station 12:35, to Bank then Central Line to East Acton - good trip. Arrived so early that I had time to have a half of Guinness. Arrived at dentist 14:25 for a 14:30 appointment. Unfortunately the dentist was running late so her 14:00 patient went in 40 minutes late! Although she did catch up a little as I went in only 25 minutes late. Quick check-up + X-rays & all done in 15 minutes. Paid my bill & booked next appointment for October. Arrived at tube station 15:45 only to discover trains only running to White City………. guess who had been oblivious to the Tube strike 😱😅 I had been lucky going out but had an interesting journey home. Walked to Wood Lane & caught Hammersmith & City Line to Liverpool Street. I was going to walk to Bank but checked at Information desk & the station was completely closed. So Elizabeth Line to Canary Wharf - lovely train - the a long walk to bus stop & finally arrived home 17:15. DH & DSis weren’t back eventually turning up at 18:00 with a Kentucky Chucky 😉 I updated my accounts & eventually pipit away the shopping. The KC was very disappointing as everything was overcooked 😞 Wudupa.

Morning all.
I have finished emptying the small ROD. Waiting for J to arrive - I expect there is filling to do. While it is drying - he could touch up the Anthracite paint on the outside wall.
I had a bad night - lots of pain - had to take painkillers and go downstairs for a fresh freezer pad.
Phoned the chemist - they are waiting for the shakes to arrive - said they will deliver on Monday.
I found a photo that was always on my nan's mantlepiece - I was probably 13 or 14.
Officer has been round with a card about meeting up to chat and support me. I really can't see how they can support me. After all - they have failed to feed me. First of William Booth's words - Soup. Soap. Save.

Not much happening here to report - I am mainly trying to declutter my work by delegating to anyone I can find as I have too much to do! Other than that, I am concentrating hard on the other side of decluttering; not buying anything or picking up freebees. I don't need anything!
It means there is a very low level of decluttering happening just from things being naturally used up in the house, plus my ongoing plan to get the chest freezer mostly emptied so I can defrost it.

Hi, Thank you for your views on new knees. It will be very strange for me not to sit on the floor cross legged anymore. I have done it all my life, I can't imagine sitting on chairs like grown ups! Granny Kate I would love the hospital to phone and say come right now for an operation. Much less time for me to work myself up about it!
I quite like the idea of painting flowers on the built in wardrobe but I am not arty unfortunately, but a stencil is an idea. When I have altered the new to me curtains and got them up I will see how it looks then.
I do like a good photo, Thank you for sharing.
I'm not up to much today, 3rd night of insomnia.

J said he would be round then he said no he wouldn't - had to wait in for a parcel - then he turned up. He has painted the ceiling and done the filling. J will be here next on Tuesday.
J the builder arrived - he is going to sort out the skirting board in the small ROD and fit a new sensor light in the back garden. First he cleared the front of the house gutters. He did the back gutters and was having problems with the new light - we think there is a switch in the old office - no way can we access the far side of that room. My power has been off and on - I have now reset the cooker clock.
J the builder is going to paint the pebble dash on the back of the house. It has never been done since I moved in - 1997. It is a mustard colour - J has masonry paint - pepper mint green - so that is what it will be. I didn't realise there is pebble dash on both sides of the house - you don't look up when going down the alley. J the builder will be back here tomorrow morning.
After he had gone - I swept the back paving and side alley. Then I did the front area so all clean and tidy now. Our window cleaner used to clean the gutters but he retired so they needed to be done.
I have had a day at home - been trying to eat a lot.

@Florenceem I love the table and I'm not surprised you've not put on weight as you are on the go all the time. 💕
@Dizzycap You're so like me about the ponds. I'm waiting for rain so I can fill them and then it's a trip to the local aquatic centre. 😁😁 I hope Babyface picks up soon. 🤞🤞
I worked myself to a standstill yesterday so it's been a quiet day today. Jumping back to yesterday I did manage to fill another garden waste bag so 6 were emptied this morning. I had a quick trip to L1dl before knitting but no compost so I called in at the Sally Army shop next door. I was so chuffed; they had a compact Erc0l 2-seater settee for sale that although the frame is a little scraped, the webbing and the cushions were good. Best of all, with me being of the shorter persuasion, my feet reach the ground when I sit back in it. 🤣 The price wasn't so compact but still a good price when you look at all the renovated ones on the vintage sites. For the first time in 2 years I can watch TV in a comfortable chair rather than sitting on dining room chairs as I have been doing.
Today I was back at L1dl for milk and a bit of shopping and still no compost. 😔😔 Since then I've pottered. I cleared the 18 month old chard from its raised bed yesterday so I've a lot of that to process and a lot of baby leaf from it too. A couple of cheap Easter swedes need using up too, so those are now cooked and ready to mash and freeze.
I also had a prompt to push on with 3 similar frogs, chasing lost accounts from before I went to France. All 3 have been progressed today so I'll see what that brings.
K4rcher have got back to me and will fix the £200/ 26 month-old pressure washer for a little over £105. 😱
Tomorrow the back comes off the unit and I see if I can see any broken washers. If it's more than that, L1dl have a pressure washer for less than £100 and K4rcher have lost a customer for good. The plan for tomorrow is to see how well I sleep tonight - last night was bad until I took painkillers - and then plan from there. There's so much still to do I'll be spoilt for choice. 🤣🤣
Well done everyone, hugs to those who want and love to you all. Dxx
