Thanks for the digital decluttering tips everyone 🤩
Managed to weed another bed at the allotment. It's not easy one-handed. I had intended to plant the potatoes but forgot to take them down with me. Oh well.
Decluttered some frozen bits from the freezer for tonight's tea.
Back to work tomorrow after my Easter break.

I decided to spend sometime giving my own home some TLC today especially as my elderly friend is driving me mad, yesterday she said she understood she could not afford live in carers so would like me to arrange just carers popping in so many times a day at home. Totally ignoring the question about the need for night support. I've left it for now and I'm leaving the local authority looking for a permanent care home local to our town as I'm sure next visit she will have changed her mind again! we have been here before. Last night I declutterred some sloe gin!
I brought some new F &V containers for the fridge so cleaned and tidied it this morning reorganising everything. Nothing thrown away but stuff needing using first brought to the front and my menu plan rejigged.
After lunch I started on the under the bed storage, I have a big pile of 16 items of clothing for charity shop plus four blouses one of my sisters gave me as 'they were ginormous so should fit me!' I didn't try them on on principle 🙄. There is still clothes under there and I have left a pile of tops where I'm not sure and will revisit.

Sunday continued: DSis joined DH - one chair has had its second coat of danish oil & the 2nd chair has had its first coat. DH finished all the repair, filling & sanding on the table + did the same for the corn grinder stand. As everything is being done carefully it is all taking more time than expected. I kept them supplied with hot drinks & made bacon sandwiches. Dinner was fried chicken with boiled new potatoes, green beans & cherry tomatoes fried in a teeny bit of olive oil 😋 Wudupa

Morning all.
As I was settling down in bed last night - I got a stab of pain - I thought here we go but I went to sleep and the rest of the night was pain free.
I have a Doctor's appointment today. Yesterday at Church I went back for another biscuit when we had tea after the service - well I need to put on weight.
I plan to phone the blinds shop and then go out with my trolley full to the charity shop. I may go and get a tub of wall paint - my bestie told me not to carry it home but get a taxi. That means a wait for the taxi - could be half an hour. I will see how heavy the paint is as I will have my trolley with me.

dND, my dog Rolo was named after the chocolate. I do love a ginger cat, If I were ever to have another I would call it Beanz. My last ginger boy was called Billy. Sunday name William of Orange.
I had a lovely weekend, Mr V had a lovely weekend. I stayed home and had lovely visitors, Mr V went to Donnington with family to watch motor racing.
I did a lot of washing, hoovered all the sofas etc, made lots of lovely food and pottered a bit in the garden.
DD1 came for tea. She is in the throws of job shenanigans. Her job is being absorbed into a different authority and they have offered her work in a different city outwith her experience or interest. It's all up in the air. No body seems to have just one job anymore, it's all so many hours here, so many there.
DD1 returned some garden pots which she looked after whilst we were in the throws of house moving. She still has some. I dread to think how many garden pots I have. I must say my hostas are starting to look magnificent.
My friend came for lunch. She is writing a book and has me fired up again about mine. My idea has only been on the go for 15 years. I wouldn't want to rush things.😂
No decluttering as such, just using stuff up. Paint, toiletries, food stuff. A bit of cluttering, I bought a white linen shirt in the supermarket sale. Not tried it on yet, it could be returned if it's not right. Things returned to DD1 which she brought food in when her brother last visited. The house is staying tidy which makes it easy to live in.
Painting has moved onto the landing now. It will make such a difference. The doors are in a poor way, never meant to be bare wood plus previous people have left a mess where stickers have been. 3 doors and frames undercoated, it looks better already. I won't have a new carpet until the bathroom and possibly wall demolition down stairs is done.
Where is everyone? I do hope they are just on holiday.
Vx

A bit tired today but holiday washing done and put away. Collected Sox early this morning. He has been fine at cattery and occasionally allowed himself to be stroked. He is stalking round the house now, going in and out and checking food bowls for extra treats. DGS4 is still off school today so he came to collect Sox and is here now. DS2 goes back to work Thursday so he has been to move some furniture into bedroom 3. His work van is flat and he only has electric key fob so can't get into his van to get his drill so can't do the other jobs.
Journey out was fine but we hit an issue over hire car when we got there and price doubled and they were very unhelpful (not just us as people in front of us and behind us met problems too). We decided to get an uber to the house and see how we got on. In fact, despite being in a very rural area, we managed fine and had three days out and a supermarket trip and airport transfers and actually spent less on taxis than the original cost of the hire car before they doubled it. My brother has a lovely pool and there were restaurants in walking distance. Food delivery from supermarket was a euro. Two trips were to a beach resort for the day. Then the first night there was a power cut and we couldn't sort until the following morning. We were so tired we had salad and rolls and went to bed. After that everything was fine. It was very hot the last four days - much hotter than when they went at the same time last year. There has been a lot of spring rain and the wild flowers everywhere were stunning.
I have things to do but feel very tired. Plumber coming tomorrow to fit radiator for bedroom 3 and remove hall radiator. I hope joiner is coming Thursday to take some wood off bottom of door as new carpet is thicker. I need to sort out some bills to pay and move money round.
