daisy_1571 - there is a 12 inch drop from the open door. When the disabilities man came - he installed a step and a hand rail for Mr F to go into the garden. It is all paving slabs. We are at the bottom of a hill so I suppose that explains the large drop.

Hmm, I see, that wouldn't work unless it was a very tall capital U 🤔 😉

i have sold a sideboard and a polytunnel. They are collecting tomorrow but they have already paid. They are quite big so I think its a good start.
i will keep chipping away at the garage needs a good tidy anywayWe bought a new to us duck house today. The seller said it was put together with nails. Well it was screws, and many had damaged heads and comedy hard to get out. Then she had glued it together with expanding foam. Well that was fun. I thought it would just break but I had to cut it out. Its still in our campervan because we didn’t feel up to getting it back out. There will be a lot of expanding foam to get off before we can put it together. I might start while I wait for my buyers tomorrow. I already have some roof felt to re do the roof.

@Deni_debt-free_dreamer I have the same dilemma with my email provider. I've deleted around 6000 emails since they first warned me about the new size limit.
I've had that email address for over 20 years and, like you, I can't find out how near the maximum limit I am.
However I had some stuff to print from my email at the library and on their computer as I hovered the cursor over my details in the top right corner it popped up with the current amount being used - under 20% of the new maximum so well within limit. The provider also sent me an email two days ago telling me I was using less than 80% of the new storage allocation.
Did they send you a similar email?

@Deni_debt-free_dreamer and @regnbue well done! What strategies did you use to declutter such impressive volumes?

Potato masher, plastic bowl with 2 matching plates, pair oven gloves plus 2 more plates and bowls for CS. A couple more papers off the reading pile.

@Yorkie1 I was just ruthless.
I'm very much a keeper of really old important emails. These related to solicitor correspondence following parents' passing all of which I kept but the more peripheral stuff - distant family members putting in their 2p worth wasn't helpful at a distressing time but originally kept in case sols needed to be involved.
So much time had passed (over a decade) since it had happened it made it easier to delete en masse. Sols correspondence I've still kept but anything else was deleted and, crucially, without opening and reading them.
Also committed to deleting minimum of 200 a day. I've had the email address since 2001 and only have a handful of emails a year from 2015 onwards now.

Sounds like a well needed plan to me and what better way to share your time xxxx
Everyone seems to be going great guns with all the decluttering and jobs getting done - AWESOME!
I haven't been able to get online much over the past couple of days as I got very painful conjuncitivits in my right eye which just wouldn't stop watering. Nighmare when you're trying to get drop in your eyes and still painful when you're tryng to get some sleep. I ended up spending most of today; from late morning, in bed with some well deserved sleep, eventually. I only got up to give babyface her dinner, tablets, and take her for a slow potter walk to the post box to post a letter before coming back and managing to get a little dinner cooked for myself.
I have kept up to date with all the usual HH bin decluttering, cleaning, sterilising, and hoovering along with a load of washing I pegged out early this morning which is all nice and dry and safely cluttered back where it should be.
Sunday is a water the lillies and feed the lawn early morning before babyface & I sit on her beloved swing chair on the mooring and get some 9am sunshine 😋. It's been over 16 months since babayface has been on her swin chair due to illnesses, but today she lapped it up and just loved seeing Mr. swan amble by 🤗. We will sit and be still every morning while I have a nice large mug of coffee. It'll do us both good 😋. Babyface is doing really well and now stopped loosing weight and is packing it on, so I've had to start reducing her food down slowly as she's well on the mend - Thank God xxxx She went for a run around at her favourite place before she decided she wanted to pop into the local church; she doen't take no for an answer, before going to the vet for a check up & pamper on Friday and all is well. Blood test in another 10 days and all should come back 'normal'. One happy and content babyface, what more can you ask for?
Goodness only knows what I'm going to be doing tonight as I'm not tired at the moment and there's no bulb or plant planting up left to do….babyface is snoring & grunting away after her very small bedtime iron rich snack, so it's just me and the coffee pot 😂🤣. I really hope everyone is keeping well & not overdoing it too much with the decluttering. Take care all & toodle-pipsky for now xxxxx

Sold a little chest of drawers over night. Next furniture again.
My mum was going to a party in London yesterday afternoon. She was going to take her very elderly cat, aged 22 with her in the car but she agreed to leave him with me. Sadly he has lost some of his mojo.
Up to a couple of weeks ago he still remembered everything. He would come to stay, remember where everything was and patiently explain what he wanted from me. Now he seems a little lost and hasn’t purred since he got here. Funny he just climbed into the cat toy box to find his favourite toy. Poor old arthritic cat balancing on the edges of a wicker basket. He keeps going back to the basket even though he has his toy. Picture of one of the toys he loves so much. They are the best catnip sardines.I think it’s his time and i think my mum knows but it’s super hard. Here he is in better times.
