Morning!
I allowed myself some extra 😴 time this morning, the weather is rubbish and im feeling a little tired! Only friday and saturday to go in work 😴😴
Breakfast is strawberries and cornflakes! Nothing fancy but using the cornflakes for my "project pan" otherwise they'll still be sat in the cupboard in 2028 😂😂
Im quite enjoying this project pan, I have a few(billion) candles and was tempted to buy a new one in Sainsbury's yesterday but I stopped myself and said "No, you've got the one to burn in the house" ive had this specific one for about 3 years now and its lost its smell 🤦♀️🤣

Morning all.
BlueJ94 - yummy pizza.
Dizzycap - we had a chocolate labrador who told everyone that she got no cuddles at home.
I went to bed in pain but went straight off to sleep and didn't have to get a new freezer pad.
Sunny here but showers forecast - well it is April.
I asked J to come here at 3 to put all the cardboard out. I will keep an eye on the weather forecast in case I have to change the time - wet cardboard is no good.
Granddaughter said she will pop round today.
I plan a day at home - need to get on with sorting. I will have to let more stuff go - I have a ridiculous amount of craft stuff.
I will just do today and tomorrow sorting from the old office. Then I will start to empty the storage craft room. I gave myself until April 25 to sort the old office stuff but want to move on to decorating another room. I will only have J here on a Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays until the next school holiday. I may be able to have him here on a Friday after bins have been emptied.

The bin store and the man to build the bin store arrived today. It’s a thing of beauty. He arrived at 8am and was all done by 9.45am including paperwork.✒️ Declutter 2026 🏅

So went to the dentist as i had what I assumed a check up scheduled.. turns out it was a scale and polish instead and as I pay £20 per month for the dentist there was no fee. So now I have nice shiny new teeth 🦷😬

florianatwobob - lovely photo - my middle name.
Well I got fed up with bringing stuff down from the old office and sorting it. I decided to venture into the small room of doom. I had made some space in the office so I started to move stuff from ROD into there.
I have quite a bit ready for my bestie's charity shop - hope she remembers to collect it tomorrow morning on her way to work.
Granddaughter A and J arrived together - J set to getting the cardboard out of the garage - so much of it. J got it into 4 red bags and stacked the rest on the pavement against the wall.
A hadn't seen the new blinds so she had a tour. Then A helped me by cutting off the hanging Ike. labels on the storage boxes - they get in the way.
I have asked J to come here tomorrow to finish painting the fence. Hopefully he will get some of the wall painted as well.
I am having vertical blinds fitted in my craft room tomorrow.

good idea Dizzycap I got out of the habit when I was emergency contact for my friend if her neighbour didn't respond when she hit her emergency alarm.

Hello all, it's definitely time for a quick update as I was so many pages behind.
Everyone has been doing so well so congratulations to everyone. 👏👏👏
I'm not quite sure where I am at the moment. I have that very detached from reality feeling that I got when I had depression but I'm not depressed. I think it's likely to be overload with things to do and not being able to progress anything in particular due to aging and lack of funds so going into a sort of switch off mode.
However, I'm hoping a corner has been turned today. I'm through the next round of the application for help on insulating the house: Basically the first bit of the application was whether I qualified and today's visit was to ascertain whether the house qualified. Now I have to wait for the modelling to be done and see what proposal they come up with. 😁 It does mean that I now know that I won't be doing anything on the house until I've a) got the proposal and b) any work they will do, is done. So I can simplify my brain a bit by only having to think about the garden, where to move everything when they want access to every room, where to put the cats to keep them safe and what can I get rid of before anything is done. 🤣🤣
If all goes to plan, all work should be done by August/September so I can concentrate on decorating after then. But, I did fill the boot the beginning of the week with the first load of items for the CS. I want to get compost this week to start filling the potato bags so if the boot was full I had to go to the CS and drop the stuff off. Giving myself no option is sometimes the only way I can motivate myself. I also got a tip run in. I now need a few more to shift the massive pile of cardboard from the garage to make space for all the flooring from the loft so extra insulation can be fitted although I won't be emptying the loft until I know that the insulation is going to be fitted. So still a lot of uncertainty floating around but much less than before. Our brains are amazing things but sometimes they are a pain in the derriere! 🤣
So as one frog retreats back to tadpole stage, another tadpole turns into a frog. I've started my conversation with Karcher and now have to jump through all the hoops photographing bits of the pressure washer and getting receipts together and getting that sent off to see what they will do for me.
Passport application was approved and new one printed and arriving soon, so that's one frog eaten and gone. 😁😁The fluffy ginger cat that I may have mentioned was trying to befriend Gino is now causing concern. After posting on the local FB group I'm pretty sure he's a stray and I also realised that he had a problem. He was looking in one of my windows and I noticed that one iris was much larger than the other which is not a good sign. Other's have been trying to catch him in a cage but he's very wary. My current plan of attack is to try and get him to come here by feeding him - that's why I wanted to check that he wasn't someone's pet. I've been successful 1 day but today he came through very late and I missed him and just saw him as he left the garden. But tomorrow is another day. 😁 Watching out for him meant that I spotted the fox trotting past the catio at 9am. 🦊
Tomorrow is a bit of a shopping day and I'm going to call in on my vets and see if they have any information on TNR for the stray cat as well as where treats stray cats. It's very unlikely he will be suitable for rehoming and I wouldn't want him to be euthanised just because he can't be rehomed and I'm happy to have him around here.
Hugs to all who want and love to you all. Dxx

Hi all xxxx
@ florianatwobob - Beautiful Iris 😍. Mine aren't out yet but they're fussy and need attention which they more than had today 😂.
@ dND - I hope you manage to catch ginger and seek/get the medical treatment he clearly needs xxx There seems to be a spate of stray / abandond cats at the moment and I'm wondering if it's to do with the new microchipping law for cats that's come into effect?
I'm still pottering about doing things in the garden when I get a moment or two. Babyface came to help me plant up a couple of beautiful blue clemitis late this afternoon. Only she could advise me which one went which side of the mooring 😂 - Miss Strut About! 🤣. My parcel that didn't get delivered yesterday was delivered early this morning which meant as it was warm but overcast, I could water, mulch, and rewater my lillies in an hour with a coffee break inbetween 😏😉.Babyface had no interest in helping but did want to inspect the finished product - cheeky mare. I've also finally finished planting all the summer bulbs I was given with Missy helper in tow and look forward to seeing them come alive. Babyface has been a little quieter and distant than usual today, so I'm keeping my eye well on her with absolutely no walks today or tonight. I gave her some pain medication an hour ago and she's now snoring her head off. I've just come back in from the back garden after potting up the most beautiful tall standing Fushia my neighbour gave me this morning and I have the perfect place for it tomorrow😉.
Obviously I've done the usual HH chores, bin decluttering, washing, and hoovering along with sterilising the washing machine and using an old wive's method to clean out the under the kitchen sink piping left overnight, and just bleached the loo. HH wheelie bin decluttered outside ready to be declutter tomorrow, office tidy and cleaned this evening, and now I'm catching up with today's mail that was delivered this morning which babyface can file later 😂.
It's now time for me to have a well deserved coffee before we potter off to bed. Take care all & toodlie pops for now xxxx

dND, I often have that vague feeling, like I have forgotten something. I think it's having so many plates to spin. It would be great to get a grant for insulation.
Florenceem, I had a chocolate lab called Rolo. The most beautiful but intellectually challenged dog you could wish to meet. Had a black lab called Jet, she was a clever girl.
I must have been sending messages by telepathy to my builder. This morning he sent a txt saying he will be starting work on the front garden a week on Monday and will be staying until it's finished. Woohoo.
Made a cushion cover tonight from a 50p remnant.I was given the cushion. Don't need a cushion, don't use cushions but you know… Nothing decluttered but it was a frog eaten.
LCL, lovely cleaning lady is coming tomorrow to make a start on painting the doors on the landing. They are bare pine atm but not in an attractive pine way.
Vx
