Sorted out some of DD's drawers. Only one bag full taken to charity. One is better than none though.

Evening all. Horrible weather. I didn't get much done as lots of distractions but electrician has been and I have paid the bill. DS2 has checked us all in for trip after Easter - hopefully it will be warm. I've also arranged to take DGCs down to DD's for a few days in August. Frogs will have to be done tomorrow. Four school runs done which seemed to use up much of the day but only one tomorrow. I did some research for a couple of things I need.
288 New socket fitted, bathroom light pull moved, bits cleared away some to recycling and bill paid
289 Some paperwork sorted
290 Bedroom 3 carpet bought along with grippers and underlay. Money decluttered but they will hold until I am ready for it to be laid and provide fitter.

10 minutes of weeding done - it’s all I can manage and it’s better than nothing.
Only ordered what I actually needed from sm, toiletries place and whole foods place. Am arguing in my head about getting extras for Easter that I don’t actually need.
Continuing uu consumables and clearing papers.
I so resonate with what you are saying; it takes time, but slowly, slowly things edge forward and using up stuff and not bringing in things you don't need all helps. I've begun to start thinking, do I actually really like what I buy for these 'special' occasions and in many cases I realise I like the idea more than the actual item. Case in point is hot cross buns. I find the commercial dough too pasty and there's usually too little fruit and too little spice for me. In short I prefer my own homemade ones. If I can't be bothered to make my own, then I don't really want them. I should be a lot thinner than I am. 🤣🤣
@Yorkie1 Thank you, it wasn't too bad today; a dose of precautionary anti-inflammatory last night did the trick.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger Thank you for my Gold Star. 😁😁
The weather was miserable here too, drizzling and windy all day, but the knitting group was fun and I got more of my C2C scarf crocheted. I then called in at Farmf00ds and got their offer on 6 liters of whole milk before a trip to L1dl to stock up on some more plant pots. I'll be playing dairymaid tomorrow making my next batch of kefir, a batch of yoghurt and a batch of kulfi. 😋😋 Oh, and I must remember to go out for my second Shingles jab. 💉
Has anyone heard from @Dizzycap lately?
Hugs to those who want and love to you all. Dxx

My headboard arrived at 7.55 - I thought it wasn't coming. I knew that if I got in the shower - the doorbell would go. Looking at the headboard - I think it is the correct fitting.
J will be here after bins have been done in his road. He won't go out until he has put all the bins back in his part of the road.
I have furniture for J to break up so he couldn't start that noisy job too early anyway. Then I want J to carry stuff from my craft room upstairs - I need help moving it all.
I have way too much craft stuff!
My gas is going off tomorrow while the men put new pipework in place.
I am struggling to find my clothes - so many black sacks in the old office. No news on the new furniture yet - I ordered 4 weeks ago. I am thinking I may need to order another piece of furniture - I will see when they arrive.

I've managed to declutter a composter full of compost onto the garden bed, plus quite a few flower seeds, around 6 packs.
I dug over said bed a few days ago and planted around 4/5 packets of bulbs and had previously planted a hebe.
Hopefully they survive as I keep forgetting to water the plant, which I'm aware is necessary until it's established.
I've 2 boxes of mixed flower seeds plus several seed packs to eventually use.
Plus have re-homed 4 packs of bulbs.

Thank you dND - you are right in that I often don’t enjoy sweet treats having bought them and I decided this morning to save the money having caught sight of my bod in the mirror whilst getting dressed. I am not overweight as such however I have match stick arms and legs with a wide tyre around the middle so I definitely don’t need cake and extra chocolate 😂. I tried on a summer dress yesterday and whilst I was too big for it last year, it now fits snugly - a number of other items are similar so I could do with reducing my middle a little bit more.
Found a pair of socks in the drawer that I keep ignoring as they have gone hard and scratchy so have put them on hall table to go. Managing to keep email numbers constant. Menu plan made using this week’s veg and the next lot of store cupboard items. Made 2 batches of soup today which have gone into freezer except one portion for tomorrow.

I worked with the Technical Librarian in the early 90s for a large insurance company pre internet and only main frame email. 40000 staff world wide could ask us for help (for work!), The librarian was a fully trained and had worked for the European Parliament in Brussels. Very interesting work, most of which has been forgotten over the decades but we had filing cabinets full of British standards and HSE guidances and contacts for all major safe and lock companies. We were also the first in the company to have the internet and were sent on a training course at Brighton university on how to use it way before Google. It was decided by upper management that we could be trusted not to have restrictions added but we would be monitored 😁
I recorded a ITV Tonight talking about living with clutter and why it is difficult to clear out. Haven't watched it yet I was interrupted by a phone call but I did hear them say nearly a third of our household items are unused!
I had to take my friends' cat back to cat protection this morning and I'm still feeling guilty even through I know there was no choice, my current incumbent has to be an only cat. She yowled for 45 minutes and the car had to be driven with the windows down on the way back 🤢

Brambling - it is so sad when a cat, or any animal, has to be rehomed. They don't understand and we can't explain things to him or her. Hopefully, the cat will find a new home soon.
Not much is happening here. Thinking about getting ready for World War III or Civil War II depending on how stupid the leaders of this country really are (Don't anybody worry about saying bad things about them, because what we are saying is much worse. Just don't say anything good about them.) But our weather is so strange, that it may get everyone first. Back East they are having major snow and hail. It was 32C here today. At 5pm, it is still 31C. Too hot to do anything - so I have been crocheting and reading. But even that has been a struggle (we don't have air conditioning here). Supposed to be going back down a little bit. Hate to think what summer is going to be like. Even getting five things a day into the trash box has been difficult for my roommate (I challenged her for the month).

Dinner was bacon, fried eggs, roasted tomatoes & mushrooms + fried the lo new potatoes. Wudupa.
