Happy Birthday @vulpix Glad you enjoyed your day.
Finally binned a horrid pastry brush, one of those old ones with bristles - sadly the bristles were coming out every time I used it so it had to go. Also binned a whole carrier bag of junk mail, old envelopes and tissues.Had a bargain buy of a Miss Marple box set DVDs, Margaret Rutherford. I love her as MM. paid £2 and they are good as new, not a mark on the box either. As I don’t watch TV it will be nice to have them on while I am sewing. Went under the bed for some fabric, glad I didn’t dispose of all I had. The plan is: 2 new petticoats plus mend one I already have, put a new zip in DHs cardigan, mend the waistband on a pair of my black jeans, make a tiered skirt and make at least 10 washable pads. I have a nice cotton duvet cover that I will use for them just need to work out what will be the core fabric.
Dinner for both was from freezer. Has made a bit of space. Also won’t be getting any bread until Tuesday so the baguettes in the freezer will have to do. Dinner tomorrow is a reduced shoulder of lamb bought before Christmas - might even run to a roast.
Sold another 2 items on Vinted.
Been a lovely bright day but the wind is still on the sharp side, definitely got colder since the sun went down.Have a good evening all, sweet dreams xx

Saturday is a brighter day - fluffy white clouds in a blue sky with some sunshine & a high of 11°C (feeling 2° colder due to a NW wind) & a low of 3°C. As it still feels cold, DH has made a soup. I have done nothing but watch TV & knit. Only 16 more 92 stitch rows to complete. Made spaghetti bolognaise for dinner 😋 Finished the hat & started a new one. DSis & I watched a film called Stillwater starring Matt Damon - 160 minutes long so a bit slow but a good story. Wudupa.

Belated happy birthday @vulpix.
Quick post as I am off South later this morning. Nice day yesterday with DD - we went out for drinks and cake at garden centre and left Dsil to do some jobs. He removed odd things left in bedroom 3 - some curtain fixings, radiator brackets, redundant wires etc and dismantled metal day bed frame. They moved a few things round for me as well. Dinner at DS2s and watched rugby and got a taxi back here. Only a very short walk but up hill and we'd had a few drinks! DS2 had been in the morning and changed curtain rails so I could hang voile curtains in bedroom. He did most of it but left Dsil to tighten screws up. DD did Mr Sox flea and worm treatment on back of his neck - he was not impressed. Cards, plant, some smellies and flowers from three children and grandchildren for Mother's Day. DD going back this morning and meeting in laws and children for Mother's Day meal.

Suzzeesu I have not heard the word petticoat for donkeys years, Thank you, it takes me right back.
I threw a pillow in the bin, washed it and it didn't survive well. Could be time to buy some new ones.

Happy Birthday Vulpix.
It is a gorgeous sunny day here. Right, I am going to go around my house and declutter one full bag of stuff.
14 -
vulpix - when I washed pillows and they went a bit flat - I would put 2 inners in a cover - worked well - I had so many beds to look after - children and students.
J came round and helped me to empty the last 3 bookcases . J took them outside + the units I had emptied. He broke everything up. I must contact R about a tip run but I don't think it will all go in one journey.
I had written a list of jobs that I wanted J to help me with. J easily moved my bed into position. I got him to carry my sewing machine into the garage. I got J to lift boxes so I could search for a jar of curry sauce - didn't find it.
Together we measured the room for Ike. units.
I need to clean the skirting boards that were behind the moved units.
I am going to my daughter's house later for a Lamb roast dinner.
