Love the jugs and the Tshirt @Florenceem
Along with other posters, I will be thinking of you tomorrow and hope that Mr F's COL is truly a reflection of him and your life together.

Hi Chums , boy am I ever fed up with this persistant wet weather, yet I bet we will probably get a hose pipe ban come the summer. :(
It feels like its been raining forever, well at least since Christmas.
Busy week this week,
Monday afternoon caught two buses into Newport, no point driving so many road closures here at the moment. Popped into the library and picked up a book I wanted, and signed up for 'book bingo' Basically read 25 books between now and December with a chance of a book token at the end .
Not a problem for me as I read quite a bit as I'm not that fussed about TV. So got soaked coming home as it not only was raining, it was blooming cold as well. :(
Tuesday, had to go to a U3A meeting ,got wet that day as well as it just bucketed down.
Wednesday stitch 'n'bi**h morning, and yup got wet then as well :).
Today went with DD and a couple of friends to Wootton Bridge to crochet class. I have been looking for my spare knitting bag as I know it has some crochet needles in there but I couldn't find it I will have a search again later. Not a problem as the very nice lady had a stack of them
I can knit for England, but not brilliant at crochet, and DD wanted to have a go as its only £2.00 plus a cuppa it was nice, but we had to drive half way around the Island to get home because of the roadworks. It feels like every road you go down at the moment has closures .
I swear I'm growing fins and flippers
Sandown did have some flooding, and a good few areas have had flood problems I live in Elmfied and we are fairly high up so not too bad at all.
Tomorrow I am off to the hairdressers for a trim but its only a mile away so I shall walk if dry :) :) :) but probably drive indstead.
Suzeesu2000 Family history is extremely addictive I have been doing genealogy on all my trees Both my set of parents, my late husbands parents since 1976 and have a huge collection of stuff its in a big box still taped up from our move in 2024
I daren't open it just yet as I have a long list of to-do things to get through first .i've just finished the charity blanket and have to edge a throw for a friend of mine, plus a bit more deculttering to do still
I know once I open the family history box I have to sort so much stuff out in there its full of notes and certificates and goodness know what else that I boxed up when we moved, and I know once I open it I will have an awful lot of stuff to do in there
My eldest DD wants it all put on a file and sent to her, so almost 50 years of stuff to scan and photograph and send :) probably why I keep putting it off .
Killer jigsaw is still ongoing but DGS Jack is coming over in two weeks and he will help me out with it.
My eldest DD is coming over for the day this Saturday from Kent with my granddaughter as its my birthday and we are going out to a nice lunch at Wootton Bridge. I just hope my two DDs don't start argueing as the eldest still isn't happy that I moved, but she knew a good couple of years in advance that we were going to move here.
I love them both dearly but they do tend to bicker bless them :) I'm the peacemaker between them and always have been.
I've been listening to the ongoing row in Parliament and I feel at times the MPs are a bit like children themselves.
DGS Ben is also coming over at half term as we will do our plan for the garden and veggie patch.
Florenceem I will be thinking of you tomorrow , go in peace 🙏
Keep warm and dry chums the spring will arrive soon I hope

The furniture project are full of sofas atm so our sofas live to see another day.
The landscaper came and cut down some saplings at the side of the front steps that he couldn't get to with the digger.
I have filled a massive hole in the sitting room wall where the double socket was taken out. It was like having a window open, the cold air was gushing in. It will need prettying up a bit when it's dry before the plumber comes next week to put a radiator there.
A gltterball has been put up in the porch. A curtain pole and thick velvet curtain put up at the window at the top of the stairs. It makes a big difference. 2 smoke detectors have been put up. Mr V has put some pieces of board over the rough metal bits from the handles on the inside of the wooden toy box and also a batten on the bottom of it. Dgs was sat in the toy box recently so needs must. We are almost at the end of jobs which need drilling. A lot of jobs on the to do list now require trades to do. Plenty of painting in my future though.
I am still very conscious about using what we have. Just the smoke detectors were new today. All these small things when you move to a new place can add up and take time to do. Mr V was going to continue spraying the fitted wardrobe door handles but it was just too cold for the paint to dry. Plus it has snowed and sleeted all day.
You will be surrounded by love tomorrow Florenceem. xxx

Thoughts and prayers for you and your family tomorrow, Florenceem.
The winter Olympics are on, I'm watching the snowboarding big air (going down an almost-vertical slope, take off on a ramp, do a big trick in the air, and then land without falling over). Rather them than me!
I go through stops and starts with the family history. I've a couple of folders and boxes of paper, books, maps etc. I just wish I didn't have a William Jones in a village in Wales to contend with … !!

Skin on rice pudding: every Sunday dinner, my elder sister and my daddy would argue over who was going to get the skin. Personally I still think it’s revolting.
@London_1 I’m starting to waddle, think I have webbed feet! As much as I love winter and cold rainy days even I am getting a bit fed up of rain. Apparently, the floating bridge is admitting animals 2 by 2!
Today I recovered the ottoman that Frankie shredded. Looks much better.
Photographed and listed 3 more things for eBay.
Sorted a load of things in the family tree folders, now all tidy - I have serious issues with untidy laptop folders, makes my brain itch.
Dinner for both totally freezer and I can see a shelf!
@florenceem, sending a big hug for tomorrow, will remember you in my prayers, God bless xxHave a good night all, sleep tight xx

My decluttering is still very much of the one in, one out type. I'm really just dropping in to share this photo of a very damp Myddelton House Gardens where I went on my day off today before getting the train back south and visiting the V&A East Storehouse on the way home. Both places I've never been before. Lovely though.

London_1 - not been a peaceful evening here - if it wasn't too late to alter plans - I would have cancelled tomorrow's COL at the corp. The captain - I feel and others do who know what has happened - has not respected Mr F and I with his plans for tomorrow. God will be his judge.
