@London_1 I would be of the kind to say to your elder DD that if she really wants copies of everything to duplicate what she'll inherit, she can bring her printer & scanvit all when she visits... I don't think you should be scanning 50 years worth of information!
@TC77 that spare room will look fab when you get it square - the big windows in both rooms let in lots of natural light.
@Liverpool_Anne hope your kitchen planner can inspire you!

Sending you "strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow", @Florenceem - everyone on this thread will remember MrF with love, and continue to support you in every way we can xx
This week I have been decluttering baking ingredients by making cakes for a 'do' at my church on Sunday. I have finished about 10 (including 2 vegan, 2 gluten-free and 2 low-sugar for diabetics - I like to give people a choice); there are two more traybakes to prep and bake, and probably 3 needing to be iced, but my outside fridge is full and I've lost track! Still 48 hours left to get it all done, so no problem.
I need to get ready now to go out to a friend's house for a gang-of-four "ladies who lunch" 😋

Hope The COL goes well today.
I sorted out some of my crafting things today. Around 20 boxes emptied and put into a designated place so that everything has a home. Much more space, an empty drawer, boxes all put in the recycling. The over all sense of achievement that another job has been tackled.

Thinking of you @Florenceem, hoping that the COL brings you some comfort.
I have been reading along with interest about people tackling frogs and today have swallowed/eaten (?) a frog, well two actually. They were both things I absolutely hate dealing with and put off as long as possible, even though it may have financial repurcussions for me if I don't sort. Anyhow, today I armed myself with my phone and laptop and dealt with both of them before I got dressed. It felt so much better getting up and knowing I didn't have them still to do/avoid.
Decluttering-wise I'm still going slowly and just making sure I do something every day even it it's small. I have cleared the kitchen table at last and have a just of flowers on there and a couple of candles - it looks lovely albeit a bit out of place amongst the rest of the chaos! At least there is somewhere for us to sit and eat now.
Today I cleared out one of kitchen drawers, honestly half the stuff in there I didn't even know what it was for! So I now have a drawer that I can put all my chopping boards in away and out of sight.

Friday raining again at 03:30 & rained before I got up at 11:00. Forecast high of 11°C (feeling 1°colder due to SSE wind) & low of 8°C with more rain from 12:00 to 15:00
I will be leaving the house for a third time this week 😱 as I have an appointment with the hygienist. I will catch up with the cheerleading later 👋

Thinking of you as the COL goes ahead @Florenceem
Blimey @ionafan - 12 cakes! Hugely impressive. How many cakes had you done before you felt as though you no longer needed to lick the bowl … ?! 😉
Good luck with the hygienist @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
Well done on the frogs @oceandreamer
Our allotment association shop reopens tomorrow, so I shall be popping down there for an hour or so this afternoon to do a bit of preparation. It will be chilly … hat and scarf definitely won't come off (cold and windy here)

Sorry things are not going according to plan. But I agree that a COL has to be what will make things right for you and Mr F. Hoping you will find a way to celebrate when, where and how you can.
Meantime I wanted to say how much I love your jugs on the window sill - particularly the large green and orange one - it's gorgeous.

Sorry to hear florenceem.
Sending hugs.
I've managed to declutter a shoebox into the recycling, a foot massager and an unused and unopened usb stick to people in church.
